Kind of quiet this morning! Still sleeping off the turkey, Friday after Thanksgiving shopping, or resting up for the dirve home?

Will keep the coffee hot for late risers.

Well, yesterday I proceeded to put my self into a turkey induced coma and crashed last night about 9:30pm. Tonight I just finished a turkey and cranberry sauce sandwich. Tomorrow I'm going to try to deep-fry my first turkey. Maybe I'll go down to the firehouse and bring home an engine just in case.

LC, you're making me hungry. How am I supposed to cook for everyone
else when I'm hungry? Guess I'd better fix myself something to eat while
the diner is clear. Think I'll fix myself some sausage, put some biscuits
in the oven, and make some gravy. But I'll make enough of everything so
anyone else who wants sausage, biscuits and gravy can have some also.
I always make enough for everybody, no matter what I fix.

Oh good! I see Joe and/or Matt turned on the layouts. Or was that you,
LC?

Turkey was 8 hours ago here. Great meal. Now I'm getting ready for steak and eggs for B-fast. Make that NY strip medium rare and the eggs scrambled dry please...

Well, our Thanksgiving treat was watching our video "The Santa Clause"
with Tim Allen. Always love that movie. Popped two bags of popcorn
and ate while we watched the video.

Peter - looks like other mags are running late too. Nov issue of Model Railroader was due here in Brisbane nearly two weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. [sigh]

I'd be happy to do that, but I think our honest friends in the postal service probably couldn't resist the temptation to take just a teenie tiny bite. I am afraid it would be all gone by the time the package hit Indie, let alone getting all the way to Loolville.

Kozzie

I couldn't get a picture of an open end of a Highliner, because all that I saw had both ends coupled to something. The trip was great except for the express boxes on the end of the Chief both ways blocked the view from the back. There is still some express business on that train that appearantly will continue until the contracts expire.
I will pick out a few of the best shots and attach them to an e-mail when I get back from the farm.

Jay

Jay, thanks for remembering. [:)] [;)] Looking forward to the photos.
When the regular mail copies of the Nov '04 issue of Trains Mag hit the newsstands down here, Peter (M636C) will have a look and hopefully he'll have an idea. [:)]

Dave

Dave,

I followed orders and went to the Newsagent, but no November "Trains" yet. (I did get two other regular magazines and one extra (British "Model Rail' with details of cross channel rail vehicles)). So it wasn't a wasted trip.

Welcome to the neighborhood. With Hemphill and Stahl exercising free agency rights and leaving, the Wisconsin team has needed a boost. We'll get you the playbook after the holidays and directions to the best spots on our 4 foot 8.5 inch play grounds.

By the way, ignore the brownish landscape, it won't last long. After a fairly long period of white, it comes out green again. Just be prepared to dress warm.

Jay

Hi Jay! How was your trip? On the thread I started about the superliners - particularly the diaphragms and the couplings, you mentioned you might be able to have a look on your trip to Alburqurque? (pardon the spelling folks - not sure)

Jay, if you want to email me, I'll send you my home address. Maybe your wife
would be willing to send me some pecan pie!! I love it: for Thanksgiving,
Mama would always bake the pumpkin pies, but she'd also buy a pecan
pie for anyone who didn't like pumpkin pie. I think, if memory serves me
correctly, that I am the only one in my family (brothers and sister) who does
not like pumpkin pie. But you can give me pecan pie, German chocolate,
reg. chocolate, cherry, peach, coconut anytiiiiime. OH!! Wil you be having
boiled custard with that also? Prefer boiled custard over eggnog.

And thank you in advance for putting on coffee in the morning, fixing the
oj, and bringing in doughnuts. Bless you, and Happy Thanksgiving.

the turkey and sides and desserts tomorrow. (If anyone has pecan
