Sounds like a good warm up to me. Wet and rainy and nasty highwinds today and tonight...

Chili sounds good!

I was thinking perhaps we could all get together and make Nail Soup with a railroad twist. Spike Soup.

I will bring the spike, the big cauldron and all the spring water we need. I'll also supply some awesome NY Strip Steak as the start of our soup. Anybody want to add anything good? No chemicals, poisons or non-food items allowed.

Sorry I'm late today, folks. Just had personal things to take of: first of
the month things, you know. But we've gotten them all taken care of
now. So here I am: ready to cook. Now, let me know what you want
to eat. Good to see more layouts "decorated" for the winter/Christmas
season.

Do have lunch on: chili and grilled cheese sandwiches, along with
ham, bologna, and tuna sandwiches.

I guess the only thing we have to worry about is Bergie raising the rent on the Diner & Coffee Shop to cover this added expense.

I've already done my slip-sliding this morning (my butt's gonna be sore in a few hours!). We didn't get much snow in western Chicagoland, but it had rained beforehand, and the in-between stuff has made things nasty. The trees are coated again, and today the sky's clear. Lovely, when viewed from indoors.

No significant snow yet in the wilds of northern New York. I'm sure that's gonna change soon... Better swap the lawn mower for the snowblower in the shed...

Meanwhile, Fritz, the mini daschund, is up to his ears in snow, and comes back in telling me to get out there and shovel the snow off his territory.

Believe it or not... Delaware the last 2 winters has received more snow. Most of it was in 3 storms!!!

I'm ready....

Coffee please.

I was thinking about that when they mentioned White Castle, and "tooting" when they go by.

I'm sorry--I hope this observation doesn't bring down the Diner (or blow the roof off it). I'm going crazy here, now that I've been reprieved for a week (I was expecting to have outpatient surgery tomorrow--it's actually the 8th that I go in).
