Thought I saw a post by Andrew today. No idea where Kev is, he hasn't been on the MSN chats lately either...

Hey everyone: I've noticed one or two of our Canadian friends have been
absent from any of the forums lately: Kevin, the RR man, and Andrew,
Junctionfan. Does anyone know where they are?

Doughnuts and a warm country breakfast sound real good, Joe.
Guess you read my mind this morning. A good warm country
breakfast is comforting on such a cold day.

Lunch/Sunday dinner will be: beef roast with roasted potatoes,
carrots and onions, brocolli and cole slaw. Dessert will be the
oatmeal cookies I promised to bake. Finally got around to them.

Joe, banana pudding sounds good; funny, I just made some a few days
ago. Guess it is all gone: well, I'll just get started making some more.

Sorry about getting into the diner so late; just decided to be lazy this
morning.

Will be having beef stew and corn bread this afternoon. Made another
batch late last night for today. Also am fixing biscuits, sausage patties
and sausage gravy with fried potatoes.

With all the cold weather around, we all need something warm and
filling to warm our insides. As the late Julia Child would say:

"Bon Appetite".

Beef Stew and Corn Bread delicious, as usual. Didn't look over in the corner. Did Madam La Mook ever wake up and head home?

Hmmmm, Larry: now that you mention it, haven't heard a peep out of her since
this morning. Don't see her over there, so she must have awaken and just
left without saying anything to anybody.

Went to the library today and got some books to read. Before I went though,
went online to our public library, and found a NEW "Cat Who" book:
The Cat Who Went Bananas". It's been reserved, so will let you know
when we finally get a chance to read it.

Did get the wheat fudge made. Haven't gotten to the oatmeal cookies
yet, though. You all may have to wait until tomorrow for them.

But there is plenty of beef stew to go around. Joe, know what you
mean about the drop in temperature. Brr, it's COLD!!

Joe and espeefoamer, you've got it. Beef stew is cooking and the
corn bread is baking. Will also have oatmeal cookies and the
no-bake chocolate oatmeal cookies for dessert. (Mookie, I'll hide
some of the no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies, also known as
wheat fudge, for you to have.

Morning everyone. See Mookie napping over in the corner, curled up
in a booth. Bet the smell of freshly brewing coffee will awaken her!

I won't turn on the train layouts until Ms. Moo has awakened: do not
want to startle her awake.

Breakfast this morning: Turkey bacon and scrambled eggs or bagels
with lite Philly cream cheese. Or a western omelet if you like.

Lunch will be: fish, french fries, cole slaw, or you can order a hamburger,
hot dog, or bratwurst.

Supper menu: haven't decided yet. Anybody have any suggestions?

You are welcome, Joe. Sorry I'm late today. Was busy getting
WET
this morning. Got totally drenched.

Will have more nice, hot soup today: Carl's Hearty Soup.
Also have some beef stew and cornbread and some pickled beets,
brocolli and brussels sprouts for those who prefer them. Have
enough of the soup for supper, also.

Hope everyone is at least trying to stay dry and safe. Everyone be
careful out there. Want to see you back in here.
