Gotta go to the fridge, back in a minute. Earlier, I ate cold pizza while watching CSX trains at the Lakeland Y Where the North route exits the Tampa line.[:D]

To go along with the roast, potatoes & carrots, think we'll have shelly
beans and cole slaw. Maybe some corn on the cob, too.

Well, I have new pots of soup, chili and stew going. For some of our
friends in the northeast, may have to FedEx Air their food orders to
them. Stocked up on burgers, steaks and fries (steak and french) so
we'll have enough for everyone. Matter of fact, stocked up on EVERYTHING
so you all will have plenty to eat around here.

Has anyone heard from our beloved owner of the diner in the last few days?
Sure hope Jim's not studied and worked himself into a coma or anything!
HEY JIM, YOU STILL WITH US OUT THERE SOMEWHERE?

Morning, just coffee for me right now.
Thanks for doing the juice and coffee Joe;CW will be in shortly.
Mother Nature is still 'Fooling' with us right now. Still warm (35 deg.)
We were supposed have rain/freezing rain/sleet,overnight,and 1-3"
of the white stuff today. NADA anything overnight, nothing so far this
morning. They are now, just calling for a 'windy' day,'maybe' a chance
of snow later. Oh well, you know the old saying;"if you don't like the
weather in the ORV,wait 5 minutes,it will change".[(-D]

Maybe the paw prints came from our DOG: she loves to eat anything
and everything!! She's even tried to eat my fingers a couple of times.
She has been known to eat chili, brocolli, brussels sprouts, anything
she can get her paws on, she'll eat it.

There's beef stew and corn bread for supper. Think we'll also have
some fried fish and fries, with chocolate pie for dessert.

Lovely, balmy day here in the northeast. -17 at the house as I left for work, and hit one pocket of -21 on the way in. The wind gods were kind enough to stay home, sparing us wind chills in the -30 and below range overnight.

One positive of the cold involved an accident on the interstate with a truck carrying methyl something or other. Below 40 degrees it's only a problem at the scene (no evacuations needed), and we stayed well below that yesterday. Kept the northbound lanes closed for about 12 hours, though.

Mookie, any time you can go out for breakfast with your hubby, it's a
VALID reason for not being in the diner!!

Breakfast is regular menu with all the choices.

It's late - remnants of visitors from yesterday.

Got to sleep longer this morning, then went out to breakfast with Driver (Sorry CW)

Colder, with fog and frizzle (freezing drizzle) this morning. Not pretty. But better than what our Canadian friends are sending our Ohio Valley and east coast.

MC - would love to visit the fur and teeth again! They are the best, even from meow point of view. They didn't seem to understand that "attack" doesn't mean "kiss, kiss, kiss!"

Well, 9 am here - no one in diner to visit with and it's time to check in and work. Ah! It's a Great Day!

It's 2:55 here, and the beef stew has been cooking in the crock pot for
1 hr. 15 min. It will be ready to eat about 6:45.

See no one has been in here today. Guess maybe I'll have to take my
cooking over to the other diner on the Model Railroad forum. Do always
see that they say the food isn't much good over there.

So Mookie, are you passing on breakfast in the diner?

Guess Mudchicken does need some good sleep after
being up for 40 hours straight. He's got one thing right:
only college kids have the stamina to stay up that long!
Do not miss those days at all.

Breakfast will be your choice of: turkey bacon, scrambled eggs,
pancakes, waffles, muffins, biscuits and gravy, etc.

Lunch and dinner will be: plenty of nice hot soup, or hot
beef stew and cornbread.

Everyone stay well and safe, and have a good day. Ya hear?!?!?

[dinner]

CW - I will pass on the diner. I think I have dinner waiting for me elsewhere!

Tree - move to the central US and I will guarantee a nice house to rest in, a nice truck to ride on, lots of activities and we can meet at the intersection on the corner and chat about trains! And you get paid with benefits, too! Course the scenery isn't going to be as nice as you are used to seeing!

Tom - I refrigerated your chocolate donut just so you could have cold chocolate. You must be some warm-blooded animal! Whatever you prefer, I guess!
