Skim milk?!? Ick!!

Sorry, this is coming from a guy who had milk straight out of the bulk tank for 22+ years.
I can't drink anything less than 2 percent, tastes too much like chalky water.

Have been back out in the flowerbed this morning. Think I'm going to let
the rain coming in tonight soften the grass for me. Not going to kill myself
pulling dead grass and weeds out of the flowerbed.

Supper tonight will be: Italian spaghetti w/garlic bread and garden salad.
There will also be grilled pork chops with Mutt's special bbq sauce on them,
along with your choice of french fries or potato wedge; or onion rings.

Depends on what's doing the grunting - if it's your hard drive hunting, you could have something running in the background. I'm assuming your virus protection is up to date and you do regular scans. Take a look at the processes that are running (I'll leave how to see that to your IT folks, though). Most of the time "Idle" should be about 96-98% of your processor time. If something else is hogging large amounts of time, you've got a problem.

On the other hand, your fan might be starting to fail - bearings and all that, you know. In fact, now that I think of it, that's a good possibility.
By the time I read this, it was done purring. I didn't get a chance to check out the performance chart, but it possibly was running a "cleaning project". Had a fan go bad on old puter and it was a definite different noise. This just sounded like a contented pig grunting softly. (don't ask)

I think these things are supposed to run overnight when we aren't here and this one possibly didn't get the job done in time!

Thanx Tree!

Hmmm - Mookie doesn't do lunch. But she does do a good quiche!

How about we do quiche for the ladies (and the men that won't admit to doing quiche) and some of the driver's special chicken/dill salad on croissants (there's that darn chicken again.)

Guess I will have to open my tupperdupper and turn Tom's pulled pork loose (say that fast 3 xs) for "sand-witches" for the heartier appetites. Fries/onion rings and side salads.

Tom, I'll take an order of fries, also.

Mutt and I both enjoyed the onion rings we had for supper.
Haven't had any onion rings for quite a while.

We just finished supper a few ago. Mutt had pork roast with onion rings,
and I had 2 White Castle hamburgers with my onion rings.

My arms are so sore from pulling up the grass and weeds. Only got about
a third of the way in the flower bed, so am going to get back out there
early in the morning, before it gets so warm; and hopefully have it done
before the rain comes in late tomorrow afternoon, and evening.

Just came in from trying to get grass and weeds out of our front flower bed.
Going to be a looonnng job: most of the grass is dead, and harder than
heck to pull up. Even wore a hole in one of my gardening gloves.

Supper tonight will be leftovers: whatever's in the fridge to be heated up,
that's what we're having. Like some leftover pork roast, etc. I'm too tired now,
to be fixing a big meal for everyone.

Tree: They are doing controlled burns here - lots of farm ground around the city. Also - 2 houses in the city and one barn in the older part of the city. Not far from where we train watch. Keeping our crews very busy!

Peaceful in here today. Kinda nice.

I'll have another cup of tea and a piece of that apple pie, a la mode.

Need some rest and relaxation. Despite this being day 4 of a county-wide burn ban, folks still seem to want to burn stuff. Some of our fire departments are getting tired - they've been running almost constantly for a week or better now. My department has gotten away lightly (so far) with about 4 grass fires.

Excuse me - my pie's here...

Thanks Mookie,I will try to get to them as soon as the cat leaves.
And I do cook! (know how to anyway, can boil water without burning it.)
