Cats don't like being left alone(unless THEY want to be.) I've got
12 pounds of one in my lap as I'm doing this.
The 'Diner' is open 24/7,and [#welcome]

Coffee is on and O.J. is up also. Breakfast will be a little later.

Today's weather in the lower SE will be sunny & warm. Great beach weather. If you were on the beach yesterday in Delray Beach you would have seen steamship containers which fell off a vessel beached their.

Well....all is quiet in here for now....love this time of morning.

mbkcs - you LEFT the CAT???? [:O]

What ever possessed you to do that? And no trains! Bad, Bad....

Had some wind and rain through here last nite. It will be going east all day today. Wicked weather in central Nebraska, but no one hurt - except one poor soul that was hit by a hail stone the size of a baseball.

Had windows open and while in the bathroom getting hair pasted on, heard a switcher from the yards switching an elevator close by. I was just sure it was in the bathtub instead of about 3/4 mile away. Great sound to hear on a peaceful morning!

Gettin' out now while day still cool....

Since it's so warm today, think we'll just have sandwiches and salads for
supper tonight. Have some iced tea, and some lemonade made up.
Also have some hot tea, if anyone is so inclined.

There is no set topic. However, trains, food, and everything under the sun seem to be talked about. Just post whatever is on your mind. So grab a stool, have a cup of coffee, and just chat away.

It was also suggested that Mookie be the waitress. I have a feeling that even though she does like to chat that she probally has no desire to be the waitress. But I bet she might like a cup of coffee or sip on a hot tea. Every now and then I think a hot tea with honey is a good thing, but for the most part just bring me a cup of good old regular coffee, no cream, no sugar, just plain, hot coffee. Coffee is my cup of tea. [:D] [;)] [:D]

Some food humor to go along with the lunch time meal. [:p]

A couple decide to go for a meal on their anniversary and after some deliberation decide on their local Chinese restaurant.

They peruse the menu and finally agree to share the chef's special, "Chicken Surprise."

The waiter brings over the meal, served in a lidded cast iron pot. Just as the wife is about to start in on the meal, the lid of the pot rises a tiny amount and she briefly sees two beady little eyes looking around before the lid slams back down.

"Good grief, did you see that?" she asks her husband. He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot.

He reaches for it and again the lid rises, and he sees two beady little eyes looking around again before it firmly slams back down.

Rather perturbed he calls the waiter over, explains what is happening and demands an explanation.

"Well sir," says the waiter, "what did you order?"

"We both chose the same," he replies, "the Chicken Surprise."

"Oh I do apologize, this is my fault," says the waiter...

"I've brought you the Peking Duck."

Now memenber guys and gals, play nice, no food fights. [;)]
(You wouldn't want to follow Jim's example and get kicked out of McD's now would you<of course that was years ago>) [:D]

I thought this was the reason we started that other list .... What was it called again? Oh yeah, a nice little place to run up the post count.

Seeing as it's supposed to be 80 degrees plus here in WI, I think assorted sandwiches and assorted cold desserts are in order for lunch. Ideas, comments?

Assorted sandwiches, and COLD desserts is exactly what I am
serving out on the patio and picnic tables!!
That is, after I quit laughing so hard.
