Jeaton,

What was the thread? Would like to view that thread. And yes, let's put out an open
invite to the Diner thread.

Noah, you know I've had a bad tooth. I was NOT trying to be insulting or
anything. I should probably buy stock in Orajel!! Or buy the stuff by the
case[:)][:p]

Workin' graveyards, I'll have hot joe goin' by the time you're all up and around. Proud to do it.
Every one have a safe and fun 4th, my town is having it's fireworks tonight, so instead of riding 31 miles on a pizza train, I get to direct traffic and try to keep people from imolating themselves and family members while balancing their 23rd beer in one hand and using the other to light just one of the 14 Atomic Flowering Death Blossoms grasped in the other. Just who does translate English into Chinese for the fireworks companies, anyway? "Prace on glound, right, and free for your rife"Just what DOES that mean?

Mutt and Cher, your menu for the holiday sounds terrific! What a time to be attempting to lose weight!

I'll be putting on plenty of virtual pounds, and drooling, too (I had my own novacaine experience yesterday).

Locomutt, no offense taken, I completely got it. I've never had a cavity or a sore tooth in my 13 years of existance. Had to be shot full of novicane once though when something got underneath my sealant on my back teeth. Didn't use enough of the stuff and it hurt like....well....never mind. He even injected more half way through and it still didn't do anything, gol that was awuful.

Nothing to report here on the train sector. Not a train for 35 miles in the past day and a half. My mom and Dad are looking into buying a new car, an '05 Ford foucus. We, well my parents, test drove it this morning, test rode in it. It's pretty nice.

Extremely lucky. With all the root canal work and crowns I have had in my time it is amazing I can't bring in Radio Free Europe on some of them...

Fireworks from the deck? Now that's an old memory....only because here downunder fireworks only available to licensed commercial operators - they're been banned for many years for private sale and use - I think because too many got injured using them....sigh...same old story, the idiots ruin it for everyone else!

Looking over the area makes me think you folks had a pretty good party. I snagged a couple of leftover burgs off the grill, still tasty. The baked beans were good, but I could'nt find the potato salad. Where'd you guys stash it?
Hope all are starting this Mon off with as many fingers as they had on Sat. And no eyes put out, I hope. The best fireworks around here Sat night was the ones Mother Nature was throwing around, along with about 2 inches of rain. Kept me from working the fireworks show, so I enjoyed myself.
Well, I'll get the joe pot on, but by the looks of it, you guys are gonna be sleeping in a bit later today than normal. But it'll be waiting for you when you rise.I'll go ahead and make an extra pot, just in case.

Good going there, philnrunt. I need all the coffee I can get this morning. Didn't wake up
until 7:40 this morning. And yeah, we both still have all our fingers, toes, etc. We did
not have any fireworks. Neighbors had enough for everyone!! Had to go outside and
take a look around the entire yard to make sure no fireworks were landing in the yard,
on the garage, house.

Larry, you're forgiven since you were on EMS bike patrol. Know you were beat (as in
tired as all getout).

So, let's start with some good ole breakfast. We'll have bacon, eggs, toast, canteloupe,
sliced tomatoes, and whatever else you may want for breakfast.

Prettty good fourth really. Didn't do much all morning except stop in at the shop here. About 8 o'clock the local came. I feel sorry for the guys having to work on the Fourth. One of the usual guys was on Vacation though, but I had seen his replacement once before when he took a different vacation. It started to rain at about 8:30 for about ten minutes, then quit, then rain really hard for a moment at 9:00. We had the scanner on the local police, fire, and the WSOR channels, so we'd know if they canceled it. Thankfully the rain subsided for the rest of the night, and the fireworks were great. While we were waiting, there were two other mini-shows, sort of. two ameturs about 7 blocks away in each direction fired off a mini show themselves. I had the scanner with incase something happened. I had the fire channel and the police channel on, but thankfully nothing happened, and the show went great. Did hear soem sad news though. Up in northern Wisconsin a teenager got killed when a firework went off prematurely or something. He had head trauma and died at the hospital later that night. It's really sad when you here about that kind of thing, it seems like the fourth really doesn't go by without that happening though. Maybe the US should do something like in Oz, just limit it to ground only stuff.
