Whatever it was, it may have worked--we actually have a chance to get some rain tomorrow. We're nearly six inches deficient on moisture for the year now, so anything--even snow melt in freight cars--is welcome!

Good morning, everyone! Well, at the current time, we don't have any
rain. Looked out the window just now.

Breakfast this morning will be peaches and cream oatmeal with your
choice of toast or cinnamon toast.

Good thing I don't have to go for Produce today: Lady who heads it is
out of town, or something until next week. Not sure I could have done
it anyway today. Mutt turned the stereo on last night when he got ready
to go to bed. I was awake off and on after that, listening to the John
Denver CDs. Do remember listening to most of his "All Aboard" CD.
The last song I remember hearing was "City of New Orleans."

...........Rain...????? The sun is shining brightly here at 7:30 in Muncie....What does it take to get us rain...A hurricane...? Must take more than that...But I must admit...My rain gauge has .2" of rain in it this morning from over night and they still are predicting a half inch this afternoon and more tomorrow......I'm watching. I need my new grass seed to germinate over the mole field.
Jen......What I did wasn't that expensive and when the trap sprung I didn't dig up the tunnel as I just let that be the resting place for him....Tunnels are flat down on the ground now and covered with seed and topsoil and hopefully more rain...SOON.....!

Good morning all...the ceremonial cleansing of Madison Rose in the tradition of the Wushdecar tribe has not brought the usual results that it normally does. However, it did manage to drop the temperature and winds a bit, and bring up the humidity a tad. Fire containment is at 30%, so hopefully the firefighters can get a good handle this morning with the slightly better conditions.

Well,definitely a cooler morning;It really is nice to wake up,
not sweating.
Went out a few ago and checked the rain gauge(real one,not the "mason jar")
From about 1815 yesterday evening to 0930 this a.m.,looks like we've
gotten right at an inch of the wonderful wet stuff.

Mook,check with Tom on the cookies,and it was only supposed to be a
"plain brown" truck load,not a unit train.[:D]

Chris,hope the humidity does come up some more out there.
I do know that the firefighters will welcome as much moisture in the
air as they get.

The rain we're getting is not nearly enough to offset the dryness. In fact, I'm going to still use the bike to run my afternoon errands.

Yes, the motto of this place is, "If you go away hungry, it's your own d--- fault!" We had to drop by to discuss table arrangements today, and they fed us lunch (I doubt that we'll be eating any supper after that lunch!).

Guests start arriving tomorrow.

CW I think your right Carl has been sampleing most not all of the reception food. Take today for example: Carl droped by the reception hall today and was feed lunch. Um............ yes he's taste testing the food. lol

Well it was another hott one here today!! I want some RAIN!!!!!!! Unfortunritly, hurricane Dennis is no longer any more. Darn I was hoping to witness some good old flash floods in the great state of Penn's Woods.

Of course there are chips to go with the BLTs! May not list them on the
menu all the time, but there's always potato chips here in the Diner.

Here at home, we had leftover roast beef, potatoes, carrots, onions, and I
also had some cole slaw.

Street's still wet outside out in front of our house, but right now, it's not
raining. Really enjoying getting this nice gentle, steady rain. But they're
still saying that tomorrow and Thursday, we could still get some heavy
rain.

Appreciate the efforts from the only one here certified to do an indian raindance CW, but all we got in Colorado Springs this afternoon was about 5 big drops which quicly evaporated. Off to go find the ice blue "Frost" gatorjuice buried in the back of the freezer.

Morning everyone. Hope no one has gotten into the white cake with
white icing that's decorated for our esteemed owner today. It's Jim's
birthday today, so we will celebrate whenever we can get him in here!!
After all, being the "birthday boy", he has to cut it before we can eat it.

....So far, our rain in Muncie is very disappointing....Not enough of it. Only about a half inch total from leftover hurricane Dennis....Very ligh mist falling now and has been for a while this morning....and that is excellent. Doubt if total will be much though.

I can't say we've been disappointed here with the amout of rainfall,
but they do keep saying there's more to come.(and heavier)
Since yesterday,our 'faithful' rain gauge has shown approx. 1.7 inches.

These last two mornings have been nice,with the cooler temps;as a matter
of fact(according to weather on my Homepage) Tree was about 10 degrees
warmer at his place,than us here further south.(70 deg. here,this morning)

Had showers on and off all day yesterday, and going through another one as I speak. Very tropical weather. I don't have a rain gage, but I doubt we have gotten more than a quarter inch. Least it is not getting any dryer.
