No, but Pat probably did! We didn't have to worry about a reception hall, limo, or DJ. Reception was in the all-purpose room of the church. Pat made the attendants' dresses (three, not five) for her own wedding; her mother made the wedding dress. Pat is doing all six dresses this time--kind of hard when three of the five attendants are from out of state.

Carl I have to say this Pat is something else!!!

Yes CW I woke up today at around 9am (Eastern Standaed Time) and I got breakfast watched some Jerry Springer, and then my phone rings, it's one of my Septa engineer buddies calling me up to ask me did I hear about the what happend in London. So I talked about that with him for about 1hr. Then I went back to sleep after watching some UP and CNW power on the Geneva Sub (video). Then I woke up at around 12:05pm and got up and got on the computer. Now I'm about to get off and pop in a DVD or something, maybe I'll watch some horror today since it's dark and glommy outside here in good old Philly.

I'm going to have the beef pasta and some salad now. Can I also have a Sprite?//// I also can't wait for din din tonight!!

Dinner is: bacon, tomato and lettuce sandwiches. You can have your
bread toasted, or plain. Haven't fixed BLTs for awhile, and thought it'd be a nice
change. Will also have french fries w/the BLTs. Dessert: cherry cobbler w/ice
cream on top. (Getting kind of tired of the strawberries).

Good afternoon all,

I know it's a bit of a somber day, but I had to come in and get a round of ginger ales to go with our BLTs.

After a sabbatical that lasted a bit longer than I had originally intended, yours truly is headed back to school. I just received my acceptance letter from the Metropolitan State College of Denver. Lo and behold, I can carry the mantle of student upon my shoulders again.

So in celebration, the ginger ales are on me (it'll probably be the last time in awhile I can afford to treat everyone!). Cheers!

Joe,it's still very dry here, and the latest I've heard,we aren't even supposed to
think about rain until at least around Tues.(other than the possible late
afternoon, heat ot the day pop ups that don't do much, except make it hotter.)

Chris,Good Luck with the endeavor.[tup]

Anyone hiding out in here?? First time I've seen it this dead in a while.

Just raiding the fridge for a quick midnite snack, I'll tiptoe out as quiet as I can.

My condolences to the Brits for having endured the bombings yesterday, if it picks up in here, let's put War's "Why Can't We Be Friends" on the jukebox.

Gotta get a big bell and have it installed, so when we serve meals, we can call in the troops! Then we mumble something about "come and get it or I'll feed it to the hogs"....

Lucky hogs!

1/2 day again today - so think I will have peanut butter toast and coffee and go lay in the sunroom in the shade....

I'm taking a day of vacation today to do some things around the house, so I just made myself some toast with jelly and orange juice. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day here.

Going to be a beautiful day here in Louisville, also! Mookie, enjoy your
half-day vacation!!

Breakfast this morning, since a couple of you have started it, will be
toast and jelly. Does sound real good for a change. Also have some
donuts available for anyone who wants them.

Lunch special will be: tuna salad on whole wheat with potato chips,
or fish sandwiches w/french fries.

You'll be on your own for supper tonight: Mutt and I are going to a "luau"
to welcome our new (1 month ago on June 4th) our new niece-in-law into
the family.

Rain appears to making it's way into the area this morning. Haven't kept up with weather news, but this could be the remnants of the latest near-hurricane. Or not.

Either way, we need the rain, altho a nearby festival scheduled for the weekend would prefer blue skies.

clarification here: New niece-in-law is 30-something. She and our
nephew got married on June 4th, and honeymooned in the Hawaiian
Islands. Hence, the "luau" tonight. The youngest great-niece is two years
old. Hmm, come to think of it Joe, bring Matt down and we'll go introduce
the two of them! Maybe in about 20 years, we could actually be related!!

Gee, Sis, I wonder how the hogs would react to leftover BLTs!

Sorry I missed out on those last night (not too sorry; had dinner at work, where steaks were being grilled, in honor of our six months injury free).

I think I'd like a hamburger today; might make it a cheeseburger if I have biked hard enough!

Only two working days left until vacation! I wish I were going to Philadelphia again, but am stuck at home with a wedding in the works.

Sure is a great day here. More work around the house today, so I can be off the honey do hook for tomorrow.

For Chris: Best wishes for success with the schooling. Hope you have time left to drop in from time to time. If you are already on the net, nice thing is you can come over here without added costs.

Think I'll go light on lunch, a tossed salad would be fine along with some good crusty bread and a glass of milk.

barbeque at the luau!!

CW I'm going to miss din din tonight. I already oviously missed lunch so I guess I'll have to settle for a snack or two, hehehehe. Hay have fun at the "luau" tonight!!!

Carl how many vacations have you had this year??/ Man.............. isn't it great to have seniority. lol

Well it is was raining here in Philadelphia about 10 seconds ago. The rain started at around 2am. How do I know this?/ Because I was up with all the lights off in my room and the window open watching the lighting and leting the rain hit me. OH my did that feel good considering it was beyond muggie (check out the spelling) in the house. We didn't get any flash flood warnings though. Darn it!! I was hopping to see the Wisshicken Creek (The Wissy) over flow. I also wanted to see the nice lovely Sussquahanna River become violent. Well, maybe next time.

Can I get a buffalo chicken sandwich and a rootbeer? Please!

Jay will you be in Janesville tomorrow for the Open House at W&S? I will be there around noon (nap time).

I saw a few UP units on W&S rails the other day. They were on the Janesville to milton line and heading into Janesville.

Question: Do Class 1's have rights to use shortlines? If so why did they get rid of the lines in the first place?
