....Sounds great Jen....Like a mystery. Will be intertesting if you might be able to locate the building in question in your fair and I might say {from the pictures}, nice looking city.

So inquiring minds want to know...are you really a 13 year old girl who forgot to put her diary in the fridge?

Do us all a favor and go back to starting threads attempting to sing the praises of your poorly focused, badly composed, mis-exposed and generally uninteresting pictures. We all pretty much avoid those since none of us has any interest in them. It might behoove you to learn how to similarly avoid threads that don't interest you.

And I agree with Mookie, you owe CW an apology post haste.[:(!]

Jen....Did you go looking for the restored building yet....? Or might that be a project for the weekend.....
Q - I am going to make a point to go this weekend. I have an idea where it might be, but until I go look, I won't know. I checked the HGTV website and didn't find anything. Also went out on property website for county but didn't find the a picture of the building I have in mind. They don't always post a picture and this may be one of them. So the hunt is still on!

I will let you know as soon as I can come up with something! I love a good mystery!

You know SP, this is low even for you. You are picking on a truly gentle person in our group. She doesn't fight and argue like I might and she goes out of her way to make people feel welcome and a part of the group.

You are mean-spirited and have made it an agenda to ruin a good forum of people that have a good time. There is a diner on the model forum. They talk about food. Do you go over there and wreck things for them, too?

If you don't like what we do in here, go start your own forum for small minded people!

You owe CW an apology!

Darn, the lights are still off. I do see a ball of fur over in the corner, so I'll keep the clanging and banging to a minimum. I see everything is here for breakfast, so send up your orders! Coffee will be ready shortly. I don't drink the stuff, so you're on your own for how it turns out.

I actually ate at the one that served UP crews in Portola, CA when I was visiting the railroad museum at Portola some years ago and the food was actually pretty good! [8D] I remember the name of the place was (I think!) "Good 'n Plenty," though I'm sure the place name has changed by now.

It looks like things got heated here in the diner, some hours ago. Two words here..... Oh MY.................

Well, guess what I'm getting ready to do? I'm getting ready to walk four of my friend's dogs, two German Sheps, I Terrier, and one Boxer. He's away for the week, and asked me to look after his animals. To top it all off it is raining tonight, so this ought to be interesting. Darn and I can't go floodspotting tonight. [:D]

Congratulations, you two!

Actually, we were talking to Chris about picking up chicks!

And good one, Chris! I missed that spelling gaffe myself.

Sarah, I will be in touch--sorry about your cold.

This is my one strike at the computer for today--I have to be at work for a class at 0630 tomorrow and Friday (no night shift for me this week, thankfully!), and I'm ready for bed almost any time now.

Could I please get a caffeine-free Diet Dew? Large? For those who need to know, the sugar and caffeine are not good for me. And my employer, a RAILROAD, is one of the leaders in encouraging healthy habits.

And for those of you who wonder what a mudchicken does, seems an 8th grader in Massachusetts tried to explain it in an essay:

A Sirvayur is something that grubs around in the woods looking for little sticks and stones. When he finds them, he does some kind of weird dance around them with a funny looking 3-leg crutch which he leans on and looks at.

When he don’t find them, he walks around all day like he is lost. Sometimes you see them squashed by cars along roads, espeshelly in the summer when all the other bugs are out. A Sirvayur has one big eye and one little eye like popeye. He usually walks bent over all the time which is why he looks so stooped. His face looks like old leather. He cusses TERRIBUL. He can’t read because he measures between things and then puts down a number in a little book that is difrint than what his little map says.

He always measures to a stick or stone, stops near it, and puts in another stick or stone. He is not to brite because he is always making marks on sidewalks and rods to find his way home. His pants are allways tore from rock salt and his shoes looks like they was made of mud, people stare at him, dogs chase him and he always looks woreout. I don’t know why anyone wants to be a SIRVAYUR.
THE END…….

(do they teach spelling back there? or does it hurt their self esteem?)

Mudchicken
(Advanced "sirvayur", graduated from sticks & stones to metal pins & nails![:D])

[bday] Mike!! Yes, I do have pies baked, and keep them in the freezer.

For your birthday, I have just finsihed making a chocolate cream pie.

BUT: before you have a slice (with said birthday candle in it),
you have to have supper. On the supper menu tonight are the
following:

1. grilled cheese sandwich & home fries
2. baked mac & cheese w/ham

Plus, there is still some beef stew & cornbread left from lunch,
if you'd rather have that.

Hi All

I am kinda sad right now. [:(] I just read an article about a one eyed kitty. It only lived about 24 hours. This is a true story tho. The article had a photo. I have saved a copy of it if anyone wants to see it. If you do, just email me and I will email it to you. Poor thing, it is so sad. [V]

Well, I am off to get some housework in before dark. [8]
