Rights, yes, you do have the same rights as every other forum member.

HOWEVER you also have the same RESPONSIBILITIES
as every other member. You cannot have one without the other.

Soooooo, please try and act accordingly. Remember, the key word here is civility. This thread for the most part does exactly what the forum owners want. It promotes comradery within the railfan/railroad community. It has done so in the past without you, and can do so in the future without you.

Please take note, only you control your destinty here. Not me, not Mookie, not Ed, only you control your future in this thread and on this forum. For your own sake, lighten up, enjoy the conversation, and foremost, be civil.

Please remember the old adage, "A word to the wise."

Both are about your speed and skill level, and one of them teaches manners, social and language skills, three things you are sorely lacking in.

Talking about RRs is food is not & just because you have doing this for several years does not make any more right then then now to discuss other the RRs in a RR forum.

Mook, I'm sure Joe and I can get a wicked batch of Chili goin' here.

Meanwhile, and I'm not sure why this popped in my head, I remembered a quote from our construction newspaper that I read every day as part of the job. Thought I'd share it with you all, as sometimes there is much truth spoken in jest:

"Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."

Cheers everyone. Have a great day!

Hate to be sending this "upbeat" news, but the time has come to settle your bill from the Federal government. May you all get really big refunds.

Your are correct, it is a public forum, of sorts.
And yes, even the mentally challenged such as you have the right to make idiots of themselves in public.
Please, be my guest, and act as numb as you normally do, we enjoy light comedy with our food every once in a while.

spbed. There is a purpose for this thread. It is to have a place for chit chat about things other than trains so that other topics don't get gummed up with stuff not related to the main purpose of this forum.

You are correct that it is a free country and you can read and post to this thread, read only, or skip over the whole thing. If you are so bothered by the chatter on this thread that it is driving you over the edge, I guess you can complain to Bergie. Just don't be upset if your complaints are ignored.

However, may I remind you this is a RR forum not a food forim which is 3 doors to the right. . Did you mistake the site by chance?

We are guests here and are expected to act as such. That is why in the past those who have "shown out" have been escourted "out".

My advice is, treat others with respect and they in turn will do the same to you. Those who can not do so, will truly become "Guests" and not forum members. Remember, a little civility goes a long way. Try it, you might like it. [;)]

I know of a certain river where we can get come cocoa if needed. [:o)] [8)] [:I] [;)] [8D]

Anyone planning a trip on Amtrak anytime in the near future? I know of a couple of our young forum friends who are. I sure wish I was. [:(]

Madam M [8)] [:X] [:I]

I am not sure I would call Mutt and CW's time off a party. [B)] I might give them a phone call and see how "things" are progressing.

As Chris stated, the weather roller coaster is on again. Yesterday about 3 pm I had to put on my sweatshirt at work. About 8 pm I was outside and actually had to take it off. [:0] A line of thundershowers moved in about midnight with heavy rain and wind. Now the rain is stopped but the wind is very chilly. So the sweatshirt will be on this afternoon/evening at work. Our weather just continues to be crazy as time progresses. Some of you might have heard of a shortline called, Ashley, Drew & Northern. It ceased operation some years back. [:(] It basically served a paper mill down in a forestry area. Early this week, they had a forest fire in that area burning over 1,000 or 3,000 acres. I understand a few homes were also lost and some shop and sheds. [:(!] The worst thing about that fire was that it was intentionally set. This is one of Arkansas' dryest years since records began being kept. The rain last night should help some.

Everyone take care and BE GOOD.

And a Tip Top of the Morning to You All,

The weather roller coaster continues to roll out here. Cool day with snow up in the high country again. Today we're back in the 50's, and 63 is the forcast for Broncos Saturday. After that we could actually, gasp!, have a chance for some precip in town! My, what a novelty that would be.

Meanwhile, Mook, let me know what I can do to be of assisstance in the absence of our esteemed cook.

Well, I must be on my way. TTFN! Ta Ta For Now!
