Jim - there is a blind squirrel on the loose? Where?

Well, the weather people have threatened us all week with snow and cold - let's see if they can hit this one. I don't really want snow and ice, but on the other hand - it would be nice if they could get just one forecast right for 2006. So far it is weather bureau zip/ city 76.

Cof better - Jay is looking a little better, too! Joe is back to do the OJ, so Brian can rest - just not in the hammock!

Duchess didn't have to wash my bowl - I did it - right before I did me. Best tasting face in all of the forum if I say so myself. Modesty prevents me from going any further!

I thought productivity was supposed to get better as one progresses through an order of semi trailers, but it seems to be headed in the opposite direction at work. It seems we are doing less and less units every night. Still haven't heard about the latest order from UPS yet, probably won't untill next week.

Thanks for the chili, CW, Duchess must still be on an off period, I took the time to wash up the dishes again tonight. See everyone later.

Randy-OK Wouldn't want you to lose the attendance bonus. I'll make do with the 300M. It does fairly well in the snow.

Hello All [:)]

I am back from Missouri again. I left Monday morning and got there about 2 in the afternoon. The TV news talked about all the bad weather they had Sunday night. So far they have confirmed 3 tornados that were F2 and 3 tornados that were F3 and that was just in the southwest corner of the state. My parents are ok and the structures there are ok also. However, just south of Springfield, there was major damage. There were hundreds of homes destroyed or damaged. That was a very nasty system that went through northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri.

I am certainly glad to hear the puppy is getting better. Duchess Von Levy sends her, "Bark Bark", which is doggy talk for Get Well Soon. [;)]

Now about the forum. [B)] [:0] [8] We certainly have our share of "village idiots." [;)] [:o)] [8D] I have friends and relatives in St. Louis. I also have well, definately not a friend, there also. [}:)] I think a certain Mutt would agree, that not everyone in St. Louis is trustworthy. [;)] And as I have said before, "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then." [;)] [:o)] [:D]

Well after returning to Arkansas this afternoon, I mowed the yard. [:0] The dandylions have already gone to seed this year. The clinging vine grass, or whatever you call it, is growing like nobody's business, and that clover-like, small, purpled flower "junk" is growing like the weed it is. [:(!] [:(] [:(!] I also found enough worms to go fishing and 2 snails. The worms were allowed to go make more worms, however, the snails showed no mercy to my Hostas last year and I showed no mercy to the snails this year. [;)] Fair is Fair. [8D]

Well I am having baked potatoes with the green "stuff", cheese, and diced ham for supper. The dairy industry would certainly love me for the amount of "butter" or whatever it is, that I like on my baked potatoes. [:D] [:p] [:D]

Everyone Take Care.

Wind, snow. You'd think it was still winter! Oh, wait, it is...

TWC was talking a foot of the white stuff on Tug Hill overnight. Haven't heard any actual reports yet, but the radar looked "promising." Got maybe a half inch at the house - hardly worth noting. Certainly not enough to bother with the snowblower...

I'll have some first alarm chili. Left the fire extinguisher home today.

As much as I'd like to, Jay, I'm two weeks away from getting a PTO day and an attendance bonus at work, and I'd like to get both, thank you very much. You also didn't state whether you could drive a manual or not (mine is a manual shift).

Thanks for getting the chili ready, CW, I'll probably have some tonight after I get home from work. I also see Bergie has been doing a bunch of housekeeping this morning, maybe we should invite him in for some lunch and/or dinner?

cats don't have lips?? Who knew!

As far as the forum being a baaaad place, I couldn't agree LESS. I mean really, you all have totally sucked me in[^] CW invited my by to pick up a recipe and you all were so nice that I just have to stop by and chat every once in a while.

Hey, Mudchicken, I can't believe you asked me about my dog hoovering!!! That is one of the first "tricks" we taught her! Whenever we drop some food on the floor we call, "Hoover!" and she'll drop whatever she's doing and run over to vaccume up the mess! She's saved me lots of clean up time!

Sorry I can't stay long, only by for a quick bite today,

Since it promises to be a slow day here at work, I'll volunteer to help put together that chili. Also keeping an eye on certain other threads to see what happens next...

Here Mook, take another swig.

Mookie and Brian, thanks for "opening up" for me this morning. Was awake until
after 12:30 this morning, so just woke up about a half hour ago. Brian, while you hold Mookie's oj for her, I' ve got the bacon, sausage,
eggs, hash browns going. Putting the biscuits in the oven as I speak.

Randy, your request is granted: I'm taking hamburger out of the freezer to thaw,
and by 11 a.m,.,there will be 3 big pots of chilli on: mild, medium, and where's
the fire extinguisher.

Is the Trains Magazine forum still OK for me to visit? I wouldn't want to ever post a true story sometime on here and have others think I was just doing it to draw attention to myself ..... in other words, I wouldn't want contention.

Jim:

Just a wild guess on my part, I think it's a case of one shooting their mouth off. I just got done reading the barbeque topic myself, and came to above conclusion.

As far as I know, the diner is still safe and a pleasure to be in, and if any riff-raff gets in, we have enough people (and animals) acting as bouncers to remove them.[:D][:D][:D]

Getting back on topic here (as if we really have a set topic here[:D][:D]), looks like we're going to see some snow Wed. night and Thursday, weather radio is predicting up to seven inches for the Mad City, just in time for state tournaments (basketball, I think).

CW, found some leftover country fried steak and fixin's, made myself a plate, and did dishes again (Dutchess and Co. looked like they needed a break[:D][:D]). If I may make a suggestion for Thursday, would it be possible to have chili that night? With all the snow forecast, I think it would be a great way to warm up after work that night. Thanks in advance.

Well, see everyone later.

Afternoon all. Gee, after I got through with Produce this morning, got home, and
fell fast asleep. I just woke up about a little bit ago. Hope everyone found some-
thing for lunch. Sorry about that. At least I had some bologna, ham & cheese,
and tuna sandwiches in the cooler.

Carl, why do you have the "lonesome railfan blues"? Did we spoil you a couple
of weeks ago, with your entourage?

On the menu for supper tonight will be: country-fried steak w/ milk gravy, mashed
potatoes and your choice of biscuits or cornbread. Will have green beans, corn
and carrots to go along with the steak. Carl, I'll make sure to make the steaks for
you and Mutt soft so you all can eat them. (Meaning I won't let them get too hard
so you two can't eat them.

Josie: Does the pup have a tendancy to "Hoover" anything in sight? You may have to work to discourage that a little. My 16 Year old guy (Westie) still does it and unfortuately, for the first 10 years of his life, he used the talent as an abandonment survival skill. We have to keep him busy to keep him from teaching the hoovering skills to the 4 year old scottie.
