The Mooks was gobbling her lunch!  And I ate the chocolate off the paw, too!

Sorry Dear Bird - no wasted chocolate here!

Has anyone seen the Mooks today?

I'd poke my head up out of this, but fear of a chocolate covered cat's paw has over-ruled.

HEY MOOKIE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]Happy B-Day [bday]

Today is my Mom's birthday too, although I am not able to wish her a happy birthday at this moment.......she celebrated her first Christmas in God's Heavenly Kingdom in December of 2001.

It's COLD here in Sioux Falls this morning, we have a temp of 1 below 0, but with the wind blowing out of the northwest, it feels like a minus 15. I am getting ready for another day of bell ringing for the Salvation Army, and the weather conditions yesterday were absolutely misserable. I've had a few people tell me that I am quite brave to stand out in the cold doing this......and well, perhaps they are right. I continue to do this because I feel that the Salvation Army needs me and I like to think that I am helping to make a difference in the lives of a lot of people who's lives are in one kind of turmoil or another.

Well, I hope everyone out there has a good day! And stay warm!!

Breakfast is going to be a little bit late today:  I'm waiting to hear from our BIRTHDAY GIRL to give me her request for breakfast today.  (As everyone knows, whoever has a birthday in here, I let them pick the menus for their birthday day).

But the coffee is ready, fresh juice is made and in the cooler, and we've got hot chocolate and hot tea available this morning.

BEEF STEW!!!  I'll take a couple of gallons.  I can't get enough.  Maybe this weekend I'll have to make some wild game for dinner.

I'm pretty good at keeping and or leveling a tree.

The special tonight is:  beef stew and cornbread.  It's on the warmer bar, and Joe, there's a couple or four containers in the fridge, with your name on them.  Dessert:  strawberry cheesecake.

And Joe, tell Matt "Thank you" from Aunt Paula, for his help with the birthday decorations, and making the biiiiiiigg chocolate birthday sheetcake for tomorrow.

Anybody want to help put up the Christmas tree and Christmas decorations later on this evening, say around 8:30, ET?!?!  I'll be here, so I hope I have plenty of helpers.  Cookies and hot chocolate will be served afterwards, to any and all helpers!!

Be careful when you go shopping this year Mook.  I've heard that Santa may not yield for cats crossing the street!

Afternoon everyone....

Had a big BOOM in Milwaukee this morning at the Falk Corporation, they had a propane leak and while they were evacuating, the propane tanks went up, taking most of the buildings with it.  25-30 injured, some serious, mostly from flying/falling debris, and one person is missing.  Fire is now out, everyone else was evacuated to Miller Park (just next door).  My thoughts and prayers are with them today.

Other than that, quiet around here today, is 27, and temp will be falling to about 5 tonight, and the wind will pick up.  To be very cold the next few days.

See everyone later.

A grilled cheese and bowl of beef vegetable soup sounds great.  I'm heading to the garage to finish working on my ex UP engine patching projects.  Anyone know what the best way to get a feisty kitten to calm down is?  My little one, Chace, seems to be posessed and attacks anything that moves in the house.  He's about 3 months old.

I'll have the grilled cheese with a bowl of beef vegetable soup, please.

Well, if anyone is coming in for lunch, you will find:  homemade cream of tomato soup, beef vegetable soup, and the following sandwiches:  PB&J, grilled cheese, and ham & cheese sandwiches.

Good Wednesday morning to all!  Coffee is on, juice is made, and hot chocolate, and hot tea are ready, also.  Regular breakfast menu is on the warmer bar, so help yourselves.

Everyone have a great day, and remember to be careful wherever you go today!!
