Well, Randy, I'm glad you'll take some fish:  because I just got the next batches fried, along with fries, hushpuppies, and just finished making some fresh coleslaw.

For dessert tonight, we've got some hot pecan pies and chocolate pies fresh out of the oven.

Jay, I'll send my dad over with the Bobcat and the Deere 3020 with loader, looks like you got a bunch of snow.  We got about 3 inches of the stuff in Madison, heard on the radio that Twin Lakes (straight south of my parents) and Kenosha got 16 inches plus, with 45 MPH wind gusts, which makes this a blizzard.

I'll take some fish, CW, see everyone later.

I guess I should be thankful that San Jose is missing the bad, cold weather.  It's been getting down to the low 40's at night, but into the mid to high 60's during the day with plenty of sunshine.  I took my walk today in just a short-sleeved shirt.

I'll take the fish fry today.  I think that I missed out on it last week.

Considering the several inches that Denver received from this system, and what it's doing out east now, I'm amazed that you didn't get a single flake. How's that work? Willy?

I have a feeling that my postman is going to be late making his appointed rounds and today should be Trains Magazine day!

About 8 inches and climbing.  I won't be going to work today.  Wait a minute, I don't go to work any day.  A family member, who shall be unnamed, has an appointment with a hair dresser at 10:00 today and so the snow blower will be fired up.  I have insisted on a call to be sure the place is open.

From storm central, we'll keep you posted.

Over an inch of rain in the past 24 hours at the house - and temps are hovering in the upper 30's.  Severe weather notwithstanding, when it gets cold, it's gonna be messy.

Many small streams are already running banks-full, we have flood watches out, as well as high wind advisories.

Can I get my bearclaw warmed up on the grill?

Good Friday morning, everyone!  Yes, Mookie, I'm in here this

morning.  Our current temp is in the low to mid 50s, going to be sliding down to the mid to upper

30s by this evening.  We are currently getting some rain, and high winds; as a matter of fact, we're

under a tornado watch until 10 a.m. this morning.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't like this new post section.  The color keeps reverting

to black,  and I have to keep resetting the type color.Thumbs Down [tdn]

Guess that's about it for me right now.  Everyone have a great day, and talk with you later.

Good Friday morning, everyone out there! And I might add that it is a COLD Friday morning here where I live. We have a temperature of only 7 degrees. It is supposed to warm up here to about 30 degrees later this afternoon.

I just finished mixing up a fresh batch of orange juice and the coffee is ready. There is also plenty of hot chocolate available on the table.

On the menu for breakfast this morning; oatmeal, bacon, sausage, hash brown potatoes, scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, cinnamon rolls and bananna nut muffins, all fresh from the oven!Chef [C=:-)]

Brian (IA),

I checked the news website again and it is showing 17 now. It was showing Indy at 33 but they were saying low 40's.

We are having 10-20 degree temperature differences just with 50-75 mile radius.

Maybe with the wind chill, but the actual temp on my thermometer is currently 17.5 degrees.  That's cold enough, though.  Just finished another marathon driving day- ran to Dubuque this morning and  helped move my daughter and her fiancee to Des Moines, then ran her future father-in-law back to Anamosa before finally returning home tonight.Zzz [zzz]

Don't tempt me. I might just have to go to Skyline Chili on Friday. Man, that would be awful. With the cold weather coming in, that does sound good.

Temperature at work today was 70. All downhill tonight and through the day on Friday. They have high wind watch. Winds are suppose to get around 35 mph.

Saw on our local news website that Cedar Rapids is at 2 degrees.

 Everyone have a safe weekend.

....Yep, the nasty stuff is heading our way....but just how much we're to receive is difficult to determine from the reports I've seen.

It's being hyped so much for one thing, and I know it is a nasty system but saw a line up through Illinois of possibly a foot or more and the western corners of Indiana 1 to 3"....so over here just two counties from the Ohio border we may luck out and get minimal amount or {I wish}, none at all.  It's mid 40's now and to get to freezing sometime tomorrow morning.  That is crucial how much we get when the cold air arrives.  It's been raining off and on all day.

So we'll just hope for the best...

Boy - I hate to hear about that weather.  Got a two hour drive to get to the Polar Express on Saturday.

Down to 39 here right now, from 63 at 7 am.  Raining, too, so when it does get cold, the ground will have a nice crust on top, with plenty of mushy stuff underneath...

Had to skip the lasagna (don't deal with tomato sauce well), but that pie was good...
