Angry [:(!]  I am on my way out of the diner to go have my teef sharpened.....

I'll be bahk!  And then Dan and Brian will be in deep trouble on Monday.  There had better be a lot of great offerings to the "keep kitty happy" shrine left in the corner at that time or there will be all sorts of "problems".

Ms. Mook,

Tremendous apologies for not wishing you 'alles Gute zum Geburtstag' yesterday.  I'm sending you a custom made scratching post/heated hammock and some home made death by chocolate fudge.

That 'house call' would be one heck of a way to wake up!  I think that in Green Bay, WI a while back a van hit a store, breaking the side wall open.  On the plywood the owner painted "Store open: drive thru closed"!

The local police estimated the impact speed at around 50 miles per hour. Shock [:O] Not only did it take out the wall where the truck initially impacted but also hit an inner wall in the house. Cost of repair could exceed US$15,000. Sigh [sigh]

Speeding???  Looks like the driver was doing a little more than 5 over when he hit the wall.  Picture shows  just a couple of feet of truck on the outside.

Good thing nobody was hurt.  Though it would be nice if the driver got a major hurt on his pocket book.

Okay, I made it back to post the lunch menu.  Sorry about being a little late, but Mutt was on the computer.

 On today's FRIDAY FISH MENU:

1.  cod
2.    perch
3.    halibut

Also, I've got some tuna fillets that I will be grilling on the large George Foreman table grill, and we have the usual sides of hushpuppies, fries, and cole slaw.

Also, for dessert, I've made another chocolate cake, and peach cobbler, and a blueberry pie.

ENJOY, EVERYONE!!

- hmmm - this edge seems to need cleaning.  Will just kick this "whatever" back over.  Don't know how it got here.  Must have come while I was busy putting a band-aid on my boo-boo from falling on the ice.

Ah - much neater!

Joe - I will keep you in mind as soon as find a place for a curio!  As Carl & Ed can tell you - it would have to be nailed to the ceiling!

I'll say - I can almost show you the temperature here using one hand (actually I could in sign language, but that's another story).

According to our local airport, at 3:00 am I could have used one hand....

Think I'll warm up the bearclaw on the grill this morning, too...

Yow.  Well, went to the vet yesterday.  Driver said I was going and I went!

He checked me all over.  Found part of a half eaten birthday candle.  Cake crumbs all over and then looked in my ears!  Said he could read the paper on the other side.

Finally said I have broccolitis.  No pomonia, just broccolitis.  So he gave me a subscripshun for some anti pills and said to quit working so hard!  I like that doctor and left him lots of purr and fur.

Also got a card I need to remember to use in the future!  Shows a cat opening the door to an old saloon which is occupied by a whole lot of other cats.  He shouts:  "I can lick any one in this bar, including myself!"

I cracked up and then coughed again!

It was a great birthday and I really do think it helped me to feel better today!  I need to go find a glass of water to stick my head in to take my new pill and then flop on the floor in front of the fireplace for some much needed rest.

Good Friday morning, everyone!  It sure does look great in here, with the HAPPY BIRTHDAY banner up, and the Christmas decorations.  Guys, you did a super fantastic job!!  The Happy Birthday banner will be staying up, because I know of at least two more birthdays of forum friends this month.

The coffee is on and ready to pour, the juice is freshly made, and hot chocolate, and hot tea are ready for consumption!!

Breakfast this morning:  country fried ham and red-eye gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, sausage, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and fried taters are ready and waiting on the warmer bar.

I hope the celebrations yesterday wasn't too much for our beloved Mookie:  hope we see her back in here today, and hope she is feeling much better today health-wise.

Hmmm, I don't see even a crumb of chocolate here- I guess I'll have some of that carrot cake.  A bug in your ear, CW- another favorite flavor of mine is spice cake.  Between that and chocolate cake or chocolate chip/chunk cookies, I could easily go over the edge into full diabetes...
