But - isn't that the measure of when to vacuum? When the dust bunnies are so thick you have to hold your breath???

And then there was the guy who went to a costume party as an anethesologist - hospital scrubs, doctor paraphenalia, and rabbit ears. When no one could figure out what he was supposed to be, he announced, "it should be obvious - I'm the ether bunny!"

Well I am not sure about a bouncer but I cold definately use some security around here for late night and early mornings. The desserts seem to dissappear about that time frame every night. I know CW and Mutt are in bed at that time and I certainly don't eat them all. [;)] OK OK, maybe a few of them. [:o)] [;)] [:p] (Just exercising my perks as owner and general manager. Okay, folks, since no one took me up on my offer for lunch suggestions, you are
stuck
with what I came up with for the lunch menu.

Today's lunch will be: The Shaver Family Hearty Soup, with plenty of beef in it, along
with the rice, barley, alphabet 'noodles'. With your soup, you may have BLTs, and for
dessert, made another double chocolate cake w/chocolate frosting.

...Fema trailers are still heading south through Muncie on NS....Does anyone know if anyone is getting to use these units down in the Hurricane ravaged areas....? We keep hearing and seeing about lots full of them down there and not being used....

Mook; bare feet and mouse, guess I can understand that;it's just that
I usually have "furry" slippers on..........so don't really notice.
..................now there was this time several years ago when a certain
Native American had a "gift" presented to her on the bed one morning[:O][:(][(-D][(-D]

Jim; vacuuming is done only on a "have to" basis, therefore;
Don't Hold Your Breath [:D][(-D]

Not sure about "Bunny molds";but empty 5 lb. ham cans make really nice
"Easter Egg" molds. Use two of them, put different flavor between layers,
whatever icing you desire on cake, and sprinkle with coconut flakes (if desired)[^]

Tree - broken nail will need a little tape, thank you.

Mutt - high on good gift list is a warm mouse strategically place where warm, bare feet will find it.

Don't find bone there......[%-)]

Jim - probably can get you a real bunny free. Don't even have to frost him.....

And you brought up a thought - we saw 6 BNSF ick-orange engines on head end of empty coal train. Talk about power transfer. Looked like U-Hauls being driven back home!

Mused to Driver that they might have an engine on the rear! (they didn't)[(-D]

Well by golly, send him on over, my housework is still in progress. [:D]

Braund, I very much doubt the rumor you heard is true. UP is extremely power short these days and is leasing every rent-a-wreck it can. There are only 3 CNW units left and one is currently out of service setting at Jenks in North Little Rock (where I live). One was just interchanged with CSX and the other one left Valley Junction, Texas this morning at about 5:20. When I get to work tomorrow I can get on the computer and see what train it is on, but today is my Sunday. (That is how it is when you work for the railroad.)

I went to Kroger last night and saw they had 2 bunny rabbit cakes. [:p] [:D] I will have to check and see if Wally World might have a cake mold for rabbits and make one just for fun. Kroger was selling theirs for $18.99 so they stayed at Kroger. [;)] They were cute but not 20 bucks worth of cute. [;)]

Someone made a statement in another thread that our gas prices are going up because we expect them to go up. I wonder what he was smoking? [:o)] [}:)] [8D]

your own as to any,and all outcomes of said situation.

Mook; I didn't "clean" your coffee mug,but gave it a good "rinse";if you are
like most people I know, that's basically the better,or only way to go.

Warm mouse indeed............................A nice meaty bone sounds so much better..........[swg]

Hmmmmm. Cold packs for bruised egos. Butterfly closures for clawmarks. Lots of tape and "4 by 4's" for the all-out brawls. Good thing I never need ipecac or activated charcoal here. And there's always plenty of sugar in the pantry to help the bitter pills and prides get swallowed.

OK, first aid kit is ready.

MC thanks for the update.it is frustrating for the M&W to get work done when csx is holding the cards. trust me csx does not want a diamond back.that would slow there trains down.they already have mandatory speed restrictions on the hamler diamond and deshler.the one in deshler really needs repaired bad!I better get my breakfast and get out before the fur starts to fly.

Coffee is brewing, and the orange juice is made.

Breakfast today will be: your choice of western omelette, turkey bacon, sausage,
sausage gravy, biscuits, oatmeal, toast, grape jelly, or orange marmalade.

What would everyone like for lunch today? Today, I'll take requests for the lunch
menu.

We have a real Fire Chief and EMT already here - you will need him after I finish off an ankle or two!

And, I just had my nails "done" ````` - now I will probably break one and have to have it redone.

I am going to my favorite spot and if you want to make amends, (I would recommend you do so) - just leave something small by the hammock (4 lb chocolate cake would do - don't forget the fork! [:X] )

Anyway, welcome to everyone who has shown up since I last posted, you'll have a good time here.

Beautiful weather here in the Mad City the last few days, has hit 72 for the second day in a row, I'm not complaining. Decided to take a two hour bike ride on Sunday, and decided that I need to stop in at Willy Bikes and find a more comfortable seat. My tail is still sore two days later!!

I'll be headed to my parents house in Burlington this weekend for a visit, looks like it will be a quiet weekend with family, but I'll keep in touch, we only have one desktop and four laptop/notebook computers in the house!

Later from the fat guy in the diesel Ram.

cw thanks for the steak dinner! I had a hard day at work. On the CN line behind the house I got to see some of the zebra paint they used to use more frequently. There was a couple of what I think were -9's that looked fresh out of the wash rack they were so shiny. I heard a rumor that one of the CNW units still painted CNW got leased to CN from UP and may come up through WI this week. Can anyone confirm that?

P.S. cw if you need a bouncer or first aid/medic here at the diner I'm your man. Thats what I do for a living.

Ok I have a question was today a national holiday titled Stupid Drivers Memorial Day? At least in PA. I don't know what happened but I ran into at least 30 dumb accident causing drivers today in a 20 mile radius. The winner of today's stupid drivers was this blonde socoer mom in an big black Ford Excursion SUV, she tryed to make a left turn from a straight only lane on a very busy road called 611. She must of held up traffic for about one mile. See...it's people like this that ruin driving for the people that do have sence and know how to drive. Sometimes I wish I had a tank like a Bradly or something.

Took my Fuel System exam today, let me just say it was hard, and took me 2 1/2 hours to do. I hope I got ao good grade.

CW I think I need 2 orders of the country fried steak and home fries. OH man I am tired.

Sounds like the M&W folks are a little frustrated with STB's slow pace.

Sorry Brian: know I put silverware out for you. Someone must have taken your
eating utensils.

Braund91, [#welcome] to the Depot Diner. Since this is your first time in the
Diner, your meal tonight will be my treat.

On the menu tonight will be: country fried steak w/gravy, home fries, fresh garden
salad, peas and carrots.

Tonight's dessert: Mississippi Mud Pie.

Mookie, Mutt's been here: he's just been lurking the past couple days.

Brian - just lick your paws. Will put starch in your collar and make your eyes green!

Speaking of paws - where is Mutt? He has been MIA the past few days!

I am not a terribly violent person, but I think if someone deliberately runs over a pet, or in any way harms an animal, then they should experience the same thing. If they live - well, they did good! If not, well, tough toenails!

Don't worry, just me. [8D]

I thought I made a post a few minutes ago but can't seem to find it. [:(]

Anyway, Maine has introduced a new law in reference to animals AND domestic abuse. It seems that many men threaten the family's animals to keep a wife in an abusive marriage. One man even ran over the wife's deaf and blind collie on PURPOSE, while it laid in the driveway. She wanted to leave but said that if she did in less than 24 hours every pet and farm animal she had would have been killed. He had previously shot and killed several sheep.

Hopefully this law will protect some laides and their pets. I certainly hope so.
