Supper menu is now being served, and will be served until 8 p.m. or until the fire
on the grill goes out. Grilling fish (cod & haddock) and corn on the cob. Hope
that suits everybody's taste buds for tonight. If you don't want fish, I'll put a burger
or two on the grill for you, or maybe a couple of hot dogs.

Dessert tonight: strawberry shortcake.

Well it is raining here...... boooo. It is also a bit breezy here in the great state of Pennsylvania.

Public Service Anouncement: Everyone watch out for the dumb drivers that just rolled in from Darwinville, I hear they are out and about and are causing accidents on major and surface roadways. If one of these people gets in your way.................um....................just run them off the road.

Carl, you were wondering why my school schedule is so weird I only have three words for you "Welcome to Pennsylvania". PA likes to do things differnetly from the remaining states.

I heard CN was runnin' a carload of rabbits down towards IA cuz the twister took out some of the local Easter Bunnies. I bet that train 'hops' right along!

HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE!!

Since this is the last day of Lent, there will be fried fish for lunch for those who want
fish. There will be fries, cole slaw and hushpuppies served with the fish.

For those of you who don't want fish, you can have your choice of the following:
tuna salad sandwich, pork chop sandwich, bologna & cheese, pickle loaf,
grilled cheese or a cheese sandwich, along with fries and cole slaw.

Thought I'd just stop in for a quick donut before we hit the road- when I posted last night, it was before everyone realized that Iowa City had gotten nailed. What a mess down there... no damage here, and our grass is greener than I've ever seen it. I'll definitely need to get the mower out of storage when we get back Sunday. TTFN- Happy Easter, everyone.

Mornin' All

It is the start of a another day with the temp about 65 and a nice 5 mph wind. It might hit 90 today. [:0] [B)] [8]

The extended forecast was for higher than normal temps and dry. [:(] There is a forest fire going on in one of the National Forest around here. They are having a hard time putting it out since there are few roads to get to it.

We used to have lots of volunteers show up wanting to help our volunteer fire department put out fires in wooded areas. So we would put an Indian Pump on their back and send them off. After about one trip out and back with the pump they changed their minds. There is just something about carrying 10 gallons of water in a tank strapped to your back. [B)] [8]

It is such a beautiful day right now. [:)] I wish it could stay just this way.

Happy Good Friday everyone. [:)]

Take Care

Larry, thank you so much for starting the coffee. Another late night, and I've only
been up about 20 minutes. Also, Larry, thank you for puttng out the pastries for
breakfast. I'll make you a large cup of tea to go with your pastry.

Just saw some pictures on Good Morning America of the tornado damage
up in Iowa. Brian, very glad to hear that you all are all right.

It is awfully quiet here today. Same thing at work. That's a good thing (the work part) - I've got one project to get done, then it's easy street for the rest of the day.

Don't drink the stuff, but I'll put together some coffee and set out some pastry (now that I do eat!).

Looks like the hammock has it's usual occupant - I'm sure she'll stir when the aroma of the coffee wafts around.

Heading our way, I think. Looks like the storm has split-part heading north toward Madison, the other part staying along the state line.

I'll probably be scarce, as we do get tomorrow off and we're headed up to Minnesota to be with my family for Easter. I will be able to check in on the forum from my Dad's computer, though.

Yes I will be here as I'm always.. After my Railfanning Gig tommorow gotta go see if the Amtrak Equitment is still there.

Whew, dodged a REAL CLOSE bullet here tonight- tornado was reported on the ground about three miles north of us. Looks like its all headed east now- look out, Chicago area!
We had some "gumball" size hail here, but not enough to call the insurance man over. I was attending our Maundy Thursday church service while Joanie stayed home to pack for our trip north tomorrow- they stopped the service right at the start of communion and had everyone head to the basement (luckily our church has one).

Dan, get back in touch with me closer to Thanksgiving on the turkeys.

We are in the upper 70s at 8:25. Our high today was 84. Rain is supposed to be
coming in later on tonight, early in the morning. Have a slight chance of some
storms, though, later in the afternoon/early evening tomorrow. Sure hope the
storms don't materialize.

cw I can hook you up on wild turkeys and geese. No duck though.

I'll have the salmon patties and the broccoli spears, not to be confused with Brittney Spears. Although I bet they sing about the same.

Sarah, you've always had the weirdest school schedule of anyone I know! Go earn some money in your free time. I'd tell you where the trains are running, but...

Cher, I could give you your wake-up call, but you wouldn't appreciate it.

Colin, I hope your folks got the message.

Dan, I don't really cook any wild game. Every once in awhile, I might get some
cornish game hens, but that's about it. Unless you get any wild turkeys, may
take you up on that about Thanksgiving and Christmas time.

Supper tonight is going to be: salmon patties with your choice of spinach, or
broccoli spears in a butter sauce, and pinto beans and cornbread.

Supposed to get to 75 today, and tomorrow it's forecast to hit 80. I think we've gone straight to summer from winter, but I'll take it! I guess we're going to get some rain tonight, then off and on chances all weekend.

CW, a pair of ham sandwiches with chips sounds good for lunch.

As for tomorrow, I'll probably stop in quick before I drive to Burlington, then check in later that night on my parents new desktop.

See y'all later.

Ed - not buying that nope, nope, nope!

Jim - it will be 88-89 here - and here is a long way from you, so must be a national thing. Our nites are still cool - (50's) - so wear summer jammies and sleep with electric blanket and fan on. (Toes get cold!)

Tree - maybe dog embarrassed by polka dots and trying for new look (pink)?
