A belated welcome to you, Colin! Also, glad to have been able to meet you today in Downers Grove!

Sarah, I hope the outcome of your income taxes was better than mine (nothing that revised W4s won't cure).

Fed taxes done and mailed (they owe me). State taxes will get mailed this week (I owe them, but not much).

Sarah, check in the fridge for your double cheese pizza. It's got your name on it.
Just put it on a plate and zap it in the microwave for a couple of minutes, and it'll
be ready for you to eat.

Burrrrrrr

I woke up to a chilly 42 this morning about 8 pm. Last night turned chilly before 10 pm with a strong wind. We are going to have a sunny day but with highs only in the 60s.

I had to have something hot for breakfast so I made pancakes. [:p]

Threat of Spring breaking out here. Sunny, high of 59 today, forcasters are threatening 69 degrees tomorrow. Time to set out the iced tea and lemonade dispensers.

Joe, thank you for chopping the onions and peppers for me. I was up until
after 1 a.m., this morning, and just awakened a few minutes ago. Also,
thanks for staring the coffee and making the juice. Did Mudchicken leave
and extra IV drip around? Think I need my coffee through an IV this morning.

Hope everyone enjoys the western omelettes this morning. Hope everyone
is in the Diner for Sunday Dinner today: we're having meat loaf, gravy, peas,
carrots, applesauce, and for dessert, there's two nice, big cakes: chocolate
with chopped nuts on the frosting, and a white cake with white frosting,
and there's pretty blue, pink and green decorations on it.

So glad to see youins' made it through the nasty weather last night .Our hearts go out to the folks who lost kinfolk from the storm, there in Dixie , also to the ones who lost the homeplace . We can rember the tornado that blew away Xenia Ohio in 74. The town has never been the same . 28 folks lost then. It is a shame that some heart less news hounds called it urban renewal . How insensitive. Wow! With this all past , we think its' time for some choc. cake w/ pecan chip ice cream & hot coffee . We will hold onto the plates & cups as the 8:03 vibrates by the Diner. The best of blessings to all you fine folks in the path of nasty weather from Tenn. to New York &Wisc. Sounds like a RR Co.?? The weather here in Ariz. has been windy & light rain ., its' drifting down from the northwest . Makes the tumble weed grow ,but you dont' have to cut them , they just tumble away. Stay dry if ya'll can. Jim & Shirl.

The Saturday night pizza fest is now ready. The pizzas on the menu
tonight are:

1. supreme
2. sausage
3. cheese
4. sausage/pepperoni
5. special

P.S. Sarah, if you make it in here tonight, there's a double cheese pizza
in the oven keeping warm for you.

I have gotten my exercise today. After returning from the grocery with all the
indgredients for tonight's pizzas, I walked for one and a half hours, came home
and rested for 45 minutes, and went out walking for another hour and twenty
minutes. Really enjoyed the sunshine, and it wasn't too windy out.

Mornin' All

CP, sorry to hear your bad news. [:(]

Last night at work it was very windy but no rain. It is 61 here right now. It sure is hard to know how to dress these spring days. Since I start at 2 on the weekends it may be nice and sunny until about 7 or 8 then when the sun sets it can turn colder. OI have to take a variety of clothes to be safe.

I hear several of the neighbors mowing their lawns. I will have to do so on my weekend.

Tennessee got hit again last night with bad tornados. [:(] I read an article a few minutes ago but have already forgotten how many are dead because of it. Spring is a beautiful time of year but these storms can be very deadly. [V]

It looks like Cherokee Woman is serving a pretty good breakfast at her house. Unfortunately, Louisville, Kentucky is a long ways from where I live. I brewed myself a pot of coffee and poured myself some orange juice when I got up at 7:00 this morning. I might get my belgian waffle maker out of the kitchen closet and have waffles for breakfast, and fry up a mess of bacon as well.

Sioux Falls survived it's most recent wind-rain storm which came through this area early yesterday morning. I live across the street from a credit union and they had two huge evergreen trees in their lot, both more than 20 feet tall. One of them with a trunk of at least 10 or 12 inches in diameter was blown over by the wind and was snapped off at the base of the trunk itself. The wind has died down quite a bit and today's temperature is supposed to reach 58 degrees. I would be taking my mountain bike out for a cruise on the bike trails in this community, but much of the bike trail system is now under water as a result of the storm we got yesterday morning.

A canoe capsized on the Big Sioux River near Falls Park in downtown Sioux Falls at about 6:30 last night, and one of the individuals who was in that canoe is still missing and is presumed to have drowned. They were not wearing life jackets.

Good morning, all. Well, we made it through all the weather mess last night.
We were under a tornado warning for awhile last night, particularly in the southern
part of the county. Heard of a report of a tree coming down on a house; no injur-
ies, though.
Brunch is out on the warmer bar: sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, scram-
bled eggs, hash browns.

Hope everyone has a great day, and don't hurt yourselves doing yard work, or
whatever today.

Brian, hope you test turns out A-OK.

Hope everyone escaped the weather tonight- we had clear skies and a quiet evening here. I just got back from a 2.5-mile walk through the neighborhood. Now I am tuckered out. I've got a blood test to do in the morning for my final diabetes follow-up, so I can't eat anything more tonight. I think I'll go to bed early. TTYL!

Be very glad that you haven't had what Southern Indiana had this afternoon;
and this evening,to include us on the later part. Our NWS Radio has
been "earning it's keep" this evening,we actually had to go to a more secure
location in the house when a "Tornado Warning" was announced. At this time,
there appears to be no Reported damage in the local area.

Quentin;hope you all haven't been blown away or anything;saw some of the
weather maps for your area, and they were showing a bunch of angry looking
red colors all over the place !!
