Walt those critics sure were funny!  I wish I could find an episode or two of that show to watch now and again.

I'll grab a quick bite and then get back to MoW work around my yard.  Got more dirt, rocks, and bricks to move.  On the plus side a box from UPS came yesterday: portable hammock stand!  Hello shade under the tree!

.....Our start is 65 degrees and clear skies and sunny....To be nice next few days.

And now must head to the TV to watch the rest of "Morning Joe".

Best to all for a good day.

Did get my mowing job accomplished yesterday and it looks nice and smooth.  Must think about getting the oil and filter changed in the John Deere....

Good Thursday morning, everyone.  Rain is over, and looking for a nice day today.  Current temp is 71 degrees and looking for a high of 85.   Hope everyone had a good evening.

Coffee, juices, tea and lemonade are freshly made, and cooling in the fridge.  (Except for the hot tea, that's on the counter in the tea maker.

On the breakfast bar this morning:  turkey bacon, pork sausage, scrambled eggs, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, buttermilk pancakes & syrup, muffins, bagels, bear claws, cantaloupe and watermelon chunks.

I'll be out and about this afternoon, so you all will be on your own for lunch today.

Have a good morning, and take care, you all.

This reminds me of Jim Henson and his muppets. My Dad used to howl with laughter over the Swedish Chef. And I am reminded of a story my uncle Jack once told me...........

Kermit the Frog went to his local bank in search of a loan, and the bank's loan officer whom he talked to was a "Mr. Paddywhack". Paddywhack asked Kermit if he had anything in the way of colatoral, and Kermit's response was, "All I've got is this little statuette of Miss Piggy". To which Mr. Paddywhack responded, "I'm really sorry Kermit, but you are going to have to have a lot more than that in colatoral before I can give you a loan. Kermit got mad. He got so mad that he demanded to see the President of the bank. The bank's president came out and after Kermit had finished explaining the situation to him, he said to Mr. Paddywhack, "Oh for crying out loud! It's a nicknack Paddywhack, give the frog a loan!!"

Mookie, The 'M' names for this year through 2013 for the Atlantic Ocean are: Marco, Mindy, Matthew, Maria, Michael, and Melissa. For the East Pacific Ocean, the 'M' names are: Marie, Marty, Madeline, Max, Miriam, and Manuel.

The 'W' names for this year through 2013 for the Atlantic Ocean are: Wilfred, Wanda, Walter, Whitney, William, and Wendy. For the East Pacific Ocean, the 'W' names are: Winnie, Waldo, Winifred, Wiley, Willa, and Wallis.

All of the other names can be found here: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/aboutnames.shtml

Sometimes I wonder where they come up with some of these names. In the event that any of the names get retired, a replacement name will be needed, so I will be sure to recommend Mookie and Willy, when the time comes. There are usually one or two names that get retired each year, but an 'M' name is much more likely to be retired than a 'W' name, since it is rare to get all the way to W.

Well, we've had light rain off and on this morning; and will continue throughout the afternoon, but nothing too serious is supposed to be coming in.  Our high today should top out in the low 80s, with a low tonight/tomorrow morning, in the 60s.  Not bad sleeping weather!

For those  who come in here in this afternoon, here is the menu for today:

1.  Chicken fried rice

2.  Vegetable beef soup w/cornbread

3.  Pork chop abracadbra w/potatoes & onion cooked together

Everyone have a good afternoon, stay as dry as possible, and I'll see you all later:  getting ready make a trip to the Library.

Mornin. How yall? Mookie, you are so clever, and smart too! My good looks make up for any deficiencies that I have in that dept, although I can't think of any at present. Currently 79 degrees and sunny in Carolina with another 90+ and thunderstorms again. It has been a good day on the wireless so far, so lemme run. Everybody stay cool and safe

Ouch - forgot about mowing the yard.  Been concentrating on the guest room.  The doors are a work in progress right now.  Had to strip them to bare wood - too many layers of paint on them already.  The trim will be a challenge in that respect.  Can't exactly brush on paint remover and then wash it with the hose....

Several threats of showers last night and this morning, but nothing substantial.  Wouldn't mind a good rain.

Supposed to be a hot weekend.  I'm on the railroad Friday and Sunday, with Saturday consumed by the French Festival.  20,000 people eating pastry, shopping at the flea market, and watching the parade in 91 degree heat.  Should make for an interesting day.

.....We had a little red spot {on radar}, pass by, and over us last night but no storming that I noted.  Must check the rain gauge.

Edit: {.7" of rain}

Today....We have overcast and 72 degrees to start out with here, so that means close to 90 again today.

Another mini blind to install...{replacing verticals in one bedroom},  and a yard mowing if no rain passes by us today.

Mid week already....Summer passes so fast.  Everyone have a good day.

Good Wednesday morning to everyone.  Looking for another storm to be in, in about 2 1/2 hours.  We didn't lose power last night in our area, but heard on the morning news that the ones who lost power last night, only two hundred are still without power this morning.  Looks like it's going to be one of those days around here.

Coffee, juices, teas and lemonade are all freshly made this morning.

On the breakfast/warmer bar this morning:  cantaloupe & watermelon cubes, turkey bacon, pork sausage, scrambled eggs, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, bagels and bear claws are on the warmer bar, and ready for you all.

Mookie, got your mug down, and I'm ready to pour, if you're ready for a cup of coffee.

Everyone have a good morning, and take care.

Well, we're getting the thunderstorms now.  The wind started gusting strongly, and now it's

pouring down rain.  This is round two, and due for round three later on during the night.

I think I might need/should get off from here before the lightening gets any worse.

Just got back from a short shift at Arby's (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM). Working over 30 hours per week, my first two paychecks were pretty healthy. Hopefully that trend will continue! Earlier today, I got a call from Summer Kitchen Cafe. I submitted a job application there during late May and they just got around to calling and asking if I'm still looking for work. I took great pleasure in saying "No, I got a job already, thank you." Big Smile [:D]

We got the nicest rain last night. It came down real gentle and slow and added up to three-quarters of an inch. I like big thunderstorms, but sometimes a gentle rain is nice too. On the other end of the weather spectrum, I've been watching Hurricane Bertha in the Atlantic. She was the sixth strongest hurricane ever to occur in the Atlantic Ocean before August 30th. Peak winds were 120 mph yesterday, but have fallen to 85 mph this evening.

Back to work at 11:00 AM tomorrow, so off to bed early tonight.

Evening all....

Unloaded in Binghamton this morning, ran up to Baldwinsville for Budweiser, and back in Perrysburg, OH, tonight.  Not bad for 544 miles.....

Was 90+ all along the thruway, then hit Pennsylvania, and rain.  Temp dropped 20 degrees, and not too bad here, other than the air is really thick.

One trucker found out why you should slow down when the weather gets bad, he came up on a cloudburst, couldn't stop for the traffic in front, so took to the ditch, and promptly got stuck in the median.  Don't need to see that wrecker bill (and ticket, and the rescheduling of his load).

Will take roast beef sandwiches, then into the bunk.  See everyone later.....

Randy in Perrysburg, OH

P.S. almost forgot, the first one to touch those back doors of my trailer will be in a whole lotta hurt before the athorities put him in jail for grand theft and liquor tax violations.  I take hauling this stuff seriously.....
