Well, I discovered it's spelled with one "O", but there's always this denizen of "Fraggle Rock"

She who has no signature! cinscocom-tmw
This reminds me of Jim Henson and his muppets. My Dad used to howl with laughter over the Swedish Chef. And I am reminded of a story my uncle Jack once told me...........
Kermit the Frog went to his local bank in search of a loan, and the bank's loan officer whom he talked to was a "Mr. Paddywhack". Paddywhack asked Kermit if he had anything in the way of colatoral, and Kermit's response was, "All I've got is this little statuette of Miss Piggy". To which Mr. Paddywhack responded, "I'm really sorry Kermit, but you are going to have to have a lot more than that in colatoral before I can give you a loan. Kermit got mad. He got so mad that he demanded to see the President of the bank. The bank's president came out and after Kermit had finished explaining the situation to him, he said to Mr. Paddywhack, "Oh for crying out loud! It's a nicknack Paddywhack, give the frog a loan!!"

I didn't think you were "Old Enough" to know what a "Flower Child" was.
But the outfit looks like a Yoda hand-me-down.
Ray, GROAN!
Mutt - I would have had to be a dandelion child. Fads always got to the true midwest about a generation too late.....
Ray - double groan!
Must go rest my brain cells - get ready to do damage tomorrow.
Nite.

Fraggle Rock was also a Henson vehicle. Entertaining, and always with a lesson. The whole family watched it regularly - I think it was on on Sunday evenings, and we got it on a Canadian station, free. The here in the states it was on the premium cable channels.

Please explain the "Movie Critics" in the balcony then.
Good Thursday morning, everyone. Rain is over, and looking for a nice day today. Current temp is 71 degrees and looking for a high of 85. Hope everyone had a good evening.
Coffee, juices, tea and lemonade are freshly made, and cooling in the fridge. (Except for the hot tea, that's on the counter in the tea maker.
On the breakfast bar this morning: turkey bacon, pork sausage, scrambled eggs, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, buttermilk pancakes & syrup, muffins, bagels, bear claws, cantaloupe and watermelon chunks.
I'll be out and about this afternoon, so you all will be on your own for lunch today.
Have a good morning, and take care, you all.
.....Our start is 65 degrees and clear skies and sunny....To be nice next few days.
And now must head to the TV to watch the rest of "Morning Joe".
Best to all for a good day.
Did get my mowing job accomplished yesterday and it looks nice and smooth. Must think about getting the oil and filter changed in the John Deere....

That was "The Muppet Show." I don't recall any "lessons" on that (although I thoroughly enjoyed that show as well).

Thanks Larry, I was thinking those guys were on "Fraggle Rock" also.
Guess I learned how to eat a cookie, and become a "Grouch" from the other.
Walt those critics sure were funny! I wish I could find an episode or two of that show to watch now and again.
I'll grab a quick bite and then get back to MoW work around my yard. Got more dirt, rocks, and bricks to move. On the plus side a box from UPS came yesterday: portable hammock stand! Hello shade under the tree!

Now, the 64 cent question - what were their names?
"Guess I learned how to eat a cookie and become a "Grouch" from the other."
You mean to tell me that you would sit there and watch Seseme Street?? Actually Walt, I should not tease you over this, cause I've got friends who used to insist that I am the "Original Cookie Monster"!
Our HO scale railroad club, the Sioux Valley Model Engineers Society is gearing up for it's annual fair week open house, which takes place during the annual Sioux Empire Fair. When I first joined the club in 1980 I began a tradition of providing a lot of goodies for the rest of the club's membership to munch on during the course of our open houses, this one in particular. I will start baking the cookies within the next three weeks, and there will be at least two batches of the following; chocolate chip, oatmeal, peanut butter, molasses, ice box, dark chocolate with white or peanut butter chips, and maybe a pan of chocolate fudge brownies as well.
Here's one for Willy:
On the way to work this morning I noticed several clouds that appeared to be regularly spaced and similarly sized:
I drove a few miles down the road and noticed that they were "multiplying:"
Struck me as interesting. I suspect it was simply a matter of waves (ground swell, if you will) forming in the atmosphere. Didn't stick around to see what happened later.

Musta been last night's cold front...
They weren't malnourished, though. We're pretty much overcast now.
They did amuse me, how they were all nicely lined up in a row....

Perhaps some sort of a quaint and/or exotic atmospheric dance?
.....For anyone here interested....the video web cams are up and running again out at the Hoover Dam Bridge Bypass project.
The mammoth project of building a 2000' bridge across the Colorado River Canyon with the bridge floor to be about 900' above the river.
They had a "sky crane" failure last year that set the project back until they constructed new towers....{first ones collapsed} They are needed to take construction material out over the canyon in building the bridge.
Live web cams are now back and running....They were down for quite some time. Bridge is just down the Canyon 1700' or so below Boulder Dam structure. This is a wild project....!
For anyone looking to see it: Google "Boulder Dam Bypass project".

CNW 6000 wrote:Statler and Waldorf if memory serves correctly. Wasn't one of their voices done by Henson himself? Here's a link to a 5 minute clip of these two.
Dan, Thanks for that "link", enjoyed watching it. Guess we'll have to start watching
"Sesame Street" a bit more often than we do; (and Thomas, etc.)
(Umm, be very careful about thinking how much time you'll be spending in that Hammock!)
Ray, I probably would have gotten that way had I never seen the shows; but My
Favorite character is "Kermit"!
And for one of Mookie's Favorites; "When Pigs Fly", that would be an unmentionable
of: "When Pigs Fry"!
just be careful or it could be hiiiyaaaaa!!!!
Ray, those goodies you're getting ready to make for the RR Club sure do sound good, especially the fudge brownies!
Since I wasn't around to fix lunch today, and Mookie is starving, here's what I have fixed for supper tonight:
Pork Roast, taters & carrots
Fried chicken w/mashed taters, gravy, green beans, corn, cole slaw
Lasagna w/roasted red taters, Italian green beans and garden salad
Joe, there is a container fixed for you for your supper at work tonight.
Hope you all have a good evening, and take care.
Northeastern SC just took a pounding. There was near continuous lightning, fires all over from them with at least one church burning, and some parking lots flooded up to the windows on small cars. It passed just to the north of me, and I missed the lightning, PTL, but the City of Florence caught it. There are cars flooded out on the streets, underpasses are unpassable and numerous people stranded. Again, there are sirens all over and the scanner is full of distress calls. Yet, we are still in a drought situation? Oh, and another disaster, the ball game has been rained out! (that's where the flooded parking lot is).
CW, thanks for the supper. I will have a helping of most plus dessert. My ear is keeping me from chewing much but I am game to give it a try. Mookie, thanks for the comments on my good looks. All of the goils say that!
Take care and stay safe
