Daughter is, as noted previously, pregnant.  She went in for an ultrasound last Friday, and as often as not, the images get shared with friends and family.  Daughter posted several on her MySpace page.

Son took one to Photoshop and posted it with the following comment:

"It's really hard to tell just yet, but I'm pretty sure the baby is going to look just like his/her father."

Good Monday morning, everyone!  Bob, hope you had a very good time !  Along with  the good music, did you get any Moonlight barbecue?  I can't imagine too many people going down there, seeing it coming off the smokers, and not eating any of it (unless they're allergic to pork).

Got the coffee ready, and I've made fresh juices for this morning.  There's also hot chocolate, hot water for tea, and hot cider.  And on the breakfast/warmer bar, you'll find:  turkey bacon, pork sausage patties & links, scrambled eggs, hash browns and homemade buttermilk  biscuits w/sausage gravy, also bagels and bear claws, as usual.

We've got a pleasant temp in the mid 50s this morning, going for a high around 84 today.  They say we're heading into Indian Summer this week.

Everyone have a good morning, and enjoy your breakfast!

Just returned from Rosine KY at the Bill Monroe/Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Festival, not too far from Owensboro. In addition to the stage shows, there were many groups of musicians jamming around the park. A featured treat is Peanut Patties. Lots of good pulled pork sandwiches coming out of the smokers too

Joe, glad you and Mamma had a nice anniversay out last night.

Mookie, we saw the same thing on tv this morning.  Very interesting, but I'm like you:  like to watch them work.

Our Sunday Dinner consists of boneless round steak, flavored with a meat rub, and some mild sweet barbecue sauce.  Really good, too!  Along with the steak, we have baked potatoes, garden salad, fried apples, corn and broccoli w/cheddar cheese sauce.

Dessert today:  fresh-from-the-oven Dutch apple pie, chocolate cake, and whatever flavor of ice cream you want.

There's plenty of coffee, iced tea (sweet and unsweetened), lemonade, Gatorade and milk.

Mookie, hope can manage to get a little closer, better look at your neon locomotive.

Enjoy your dinner, everyone, and have a pleasant, happy and safe afternoon!

Mooks - I wouldn't be heading to Vegas just yet....

(1) Can't work on Uncle Pete because he cannot find a FLAGMAN for us yet. ("sorry, fresh out")

(2) BNSF, with UPS' help, is losing contract documents and checks inside their office complex in Fort Worth (a black hole formerly known as Lou Menk Drive), so a Denver developer cannot go to work boring-in a big storm sewer (I didn't lose it, but I'm wearing the flak jacket)

(3) Working on a project at Greeley that involves the manufacture and transport of industrial pinwheels (the kind that generate electricity), and the little shortline in town may not be able to reconnect very well with Uncle Pete because BNSF sold part of the railroad out from underneath them without their knowledge.

(4) The bus barn in Aspen where we were a couple weeks ago is under a fresh blanket of snow. The airport accross the highway is bringing in the slightly less-weathier in on their Falcons and Lear Jets to hide out for the weekend. Glad we aren't there.

(2) and (3) might belong over on the public projects thread instead of here, but I might almost enjoy a scavenger hunt out in the snow by now. And....will be flying-by to the south of you on I-70 with Lurch in less than a week. (Papa Bird's 80th and a teaching support job nearby)

Gotta go walk da boyz now, then clean dirty paw prints off the carpet before the weather turns here (and we start bringing plants in). Will keep an eye out for your Neon locomotive over here (Cargill switch engine?)

Going out again to look for neon locomotive.  I can't get within 5 blocks of the yard from any direction and all streets surrounding it are busy, busy.  Guess when I win the lottery, I will have to buy a seat in the middle of the yard office so I can watch all the action.

Had my Tonka toys on tv this morning - you can go to Steamboat Springs and rent heavy equipment, which a husband did for his wife's birthday!  I don't want to operate it; I want to watch it work.

I love work!  I can sit and watch it for hours.

Good morning CW, Quentin and all. We had a low of 54 here in Carolina, currently 58 and clear. We too are to be around 80 or so tomorrow, but in a week or so, the temps drop into the high 30 plus or minus at night. With the cost of propane, we are putting off firing up the furnace as long as possible. Everybody have a great day and see you later

Good Sunday morning, everyone!  Quentin, we have a temp in the mid 50s this morning, going for a high in the low 80s today, is what I believe I heard this morning.  Then, tomorrow, we're supposed to be up in the mid 80s, with rain coming in Tuesday night, and probably rain most of the day Wednesday.

Coffee, hot water for tea, hot chocolate and hot cider are ready this morning.  And, I've got about three  coffee cakes on the warmer bar, along with strawberry, blueberry and oat muffins, bagels and bear claws for breakfast.

Everyone have a great morning, and see you back in here, around 1, when I'll have Sunday Dinner ready.

....Whew...it has put the cold thru overnight.  Outside temp says 43...So turned on heat here in the office.  Looks like the sun will shine and warm us up.  65 in the computer room here.  That's not enough.  So it will soon be corrected.  These few days are suppose to be warmer.....??

First heat turned on this season.

Joe - an almost belated Happy Anniversary from sunny Buffalo!

Decent day at the conference - several great speakers (and one not-so-great).  Went to the banquet tonight and got our award.   The plaque is headed back to headquarters with the crew that came down on a bus just for the banquet.

More sessions tomorrow, including a talk by a police chief from Minneapolis about the bridge collapse.

Haven't seen any trains except the tram that runs up and down what used to be Main Street...

Jen, think kyou've had a busy day?  For the last 30 hours or so I have been trying to get around to say hello to 75-100 high school class mates, most of whom I have not seen for the last 50 years.  Trying to catch up on everything with everybody has been a real test of the ear drums and vocal cords.

I suggested we get together a little more often.

Back to the grind tomorrow.  Four weeks to a trip on the CZ to California and back.

Busy month.

Joe and Stacey; A Very HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Hope you have many more to come!

Don't want to get into politics, but this was the Editorial Cartoon in our paper today; It did make me chuckle, but sometimes I do wonder about things and certain people.

Good morning folks, we have partly cloudy skys here in Sioux Falls and a temp of 46 degrees. I am wondering how long I can go here without resorting to turning up my thermostat for heat here. It's supposed to warm up to about 75 degrees here this afternoon and then it is supposed to start cooling down here bit by bit throughout the coming week.

I offer my congratulations to Joe and his wife as they celebrate their wedding anniversary this weekend, and I hope the two of you have a great weekend!

Good Saturday morning, everyone.  Sorry I didn't make it back in last night.  I was so tired when we got home, that all I wanted to do was collapse into my chair, and SIT.  Sarah, Walt & I went to the Stewart Flea Market yesterday afternoon.  It was in a different section, than it's been the last couple of times we've went.

Joe, thank you for getting breakfast ready this morning.  I'll have some orange/pineapple juice, a cup of coffee, and a couple of cinnamon rolls.  I hope you and Stacey enjoy your anniversary night out, and Happy Anniversary to you both.

Everyone have a good day, and I'll see the rest of you all later.

Last night, it was Botswana and a passle of Europeans, so this morning should see some asian activity. Everybody take care.
