Bwahahaha... Is this winter going to be fun or what?

Seriously, although I don't really care to give winter forecasts (they're essentially useless) this winter does look like it has the potential to be snowier and colder than normal for lots of people in the United States. There, now that I said it'll be colder than average, you can count on it being warmer than average!

Had a nice rain yesterday. I measured 0.91" at home and I know that some spots just a couple of miles farther west got over 2 inches of rain. It was an interesting gradient in amounts as amounts fell from around 2 inches to around half an inch in the space of only a couple of miles.

Despite the rain yesterday, I honestly can't remember a nicer fall than this has been. The other shoe will drop eventually.

I agree.  Most of that came from my wife's father (works in construction) and he'll always take home stuff that's useful.  My train of thought (had to get in a RR reference) is that too much of a good thing is a bad thing.  Currently working on insulating pipes and sealing cracks around windows/doors.

Thanks for lunch CW!

Well, we only had 60 people at Produce this morning.  And they brought today:  apples, lettuce, redishes and cucumbers.  They told us we could make salads.

Tom, I'll also be going to the doctor this afternoon.  My new brace was delivered just about an hour ago.  Will be meeting the rep from the ortho. place there.

Our Tuesday Mexican Fiesta is now on the warmer bar:

Tacos

Burritos (beef, beef & bean, beef enchilada style)

Chimichangas

Fajitas

Spanish rice

Tortilla chips w/your choice of picante sauce, salsa, or con queso, green pepper sauce

Now, I will exit from here, and start getting ready to go to the doctor's office.  See you all later, and enjoy your meal.

Tree:  Driver got quite a chuckle out of your new grandchild's picture.  Think he was also born with ball cap!

MC - Willy is being very cagey about winter forecast.  Looks like NE will be cold and dry.  Colorado, however, is another story.  I have a feeling the politicos will want to shore up some of the economy so will order mucho snow for their skiing constituents.  But will wait to see what the Omaha Oracle Meterologist has to say.  Probably "clear and still" - clear up to your tailfeathers and still snowing.....

OK, the extension cords, ceiling fans, wire, and dog/cat toys I can understand (and probably find in my house, except the fans).

The 37 pounds of drywall screws has me thinking, though....

We have 51 degrees here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and it rained here all night. We had gotten a little better than 2 and a half inches of rain here since Saturday.

My main employer has given me most of the week off, and I am not really happy with that, I need all the hours I can possibly get in order to make ends meet, pay my utility bills and feed myself. So I'm out looking for additional work. I submitted an application with Burger King yesterday, and today I will be submitting applications with Famous Dave's Barbecue and Dominoes Pizza. My sister is gonna help me run a few errands, so I'd probably better hit the shower and get myself cleaned up and dressed.

I hope the rest of you out there all have a good day.

Howdy! 59 and clear at sunrise in Carolina. Not too much is happening here, except that a very good friend was riding his bicycle when he had an accident and wound up breaking his right arm. Please remember him, his name is David. Thanks. Everybody take care

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.  Hope you all had a very good evening.  We've got a temp this morning in the mid 60s, here in the city, and upper 50s to low 60s in the outlying areas.  Rain is on the way, according to the weather map I saw this morning.

Coffee, juice(s) are ready, as is hot water for tea, and we've got some hot cider, if anyone would like a cup.

On the breakfast bar this morning:  oatmeal, toast, turkey bacon, pork sausage patties (sorry, ran out of the sausage links, will need to go to the store, later today), hash browns, scrambled eggs, bagels, bear claws and cinnamon rolls this morning.

Already have several cars parked out front for Tuesday Produce.  Guess I need to go get dressed, and get ready to really start this day.

You all enjoy your breakfast, and have a good morning.

Ed:  If it is any consolation, I know of a person that had this done.  It worked wonders.  The seizures stopped and she was able to work full time afterward.  Best to you and your family.

Have no choices left last line of MEDS are not working at all getting about 6-10 seizures a week.  I either have the surgery or will end up a veggie from all the damage they do.  From all indications the surgery will be next year after my mom retires to help my wife out with babysitting with our 2 kids.

TNC sounds good (#2), thanks CW.

If the rain in your area is like what we had it's a light soaker.  Not too cool, but not hot/humid either.  Jasmine and Brandi (our dogs) didn't like it but they're spoiled...

For lunch and supper tonight, we have on the menu:

1.  leftover pizzas from Saturday night

2.  tuna noodle casserole

3.  hamburger mac & cheese, green beans, cauliflower w/butter sauce, and garden salad

Dan, we're supposed to have rain coming into our area sometime tomorrow evening (might be thundershowers), turning into a soaking rain Wednesday, with cooler temps.

Decent weekend for me found out Friday I am going to have to have MAJOR and I do mean Major Brain Surgery.  They are talking about removing 20% of the left side of my brain to stop my seizures.  I thought recovring from my strokes was hard they were nothing compared to what I have in front of me.  Of course it is either the surgery or more seizures for me guess which I took considering there are no more meds left I can try at all.

Laugh [(-D] I always had a sneaky suspicion that boys were born with ball caps.  That is funny!

Cooler and rain in the area.  Other than that - blah Monday.  So much to do, so little interest!

Hammock looking pretty good right now.
