Good Friday morning, everyone.  Jess, sounds like you've had a very scarey time, lately.  But it's good to know that you are doing o.k.  I'll keep you in my prayers, as I do for everyone else here.   Glad your initial test came back negative.

Coffee is ready, and there's fresh juice is made.  And, our regular Friday doughnuts, danishes, bagels and bear claws are on the counter for this morning.

You all have a good morning, and take care.

I will have some juice. I have noticed that some people must have a lot of time on their hands.

Nice pictures, Bob.  It's amazing the imagination some people have, to come up with things like that.

Our Friday Fish Fry is now on the warmer bar.  You can choose cod, catfish, bass, perch, salmon patties, jumbo butterfly shrimp, scallops, clams, oysters.

Side dishes include:  baked beans, corn on the cob, fries, hushpuppies, cole slaw, fried apples, sauteed mushrooms & onion,  fried green tomatoes.

Desserts:  chocolate cake, and the following cobblers:  apple, blackberry, blueberry, cherry, peach; and pecan pie.

You all enjoy your lunch, and have a good afternoon.

Food smells great!  We've got sunshine and warm temps today and tomorrow...so I think Someone is smiling on our day.  Lots to do yet today so I may have one more shot to pop in here before tomorrow...

//yawn//  Morning all.....

An interesting week all around,  punctuated by fuel shortages.  Had to wait about a half hour for the fuel truck yesterday morning in Nashville, and last night found the pumps blocked off here at exit 86 on I65 in Kentucky, so most likley, they are short fuel here as well.  Price has not shot up, though, which is a good sign (truckstops don't want irate truckers, we tend to not patronize those places that tick us off)

Off to our Richfield yard, will swap loads and head for Binghamton for Monday morning.  Should make it ok, will be some long running this weekend, but at least I80, 94, and I65 have all reopened in Gary, IN, after a week of being shut down due to flooding.

See everyone later.....

Good morning to all of yalls. 57 degrees at sunrise in Carolina with no lightning predicted. I took advantage of that rare phenomonum to hook up the wireless and talk with a few Europeans, one guy in Senegal and another in the South Cook Islands last night and will see who's out there later today. Dan, all the best on this happy occasion and everybody have a great day.

....We're a tick later this morning.....Bright skies and looks like we'll have at least part sunshine today.  60 degrees right now.  Looks like another mowing job to be done here today.

I suppose there are others following along with the massive gyrations of the stock market this week.....Believe we set records.  Moving 1000 points one way or another in two days.....and ended up within 50 points of where it was last Friday.....!  Thankfully...!

Good Saturday morning, to everyone.  Joe, thank you so much for getting the coffee and juice ready this morning, and for making the cinnamon rolls!  I've also made some coffee cake to have this morning, and there's bacon, eggs and biscuits and gravy and grits for anyone who doesn't feel like having cinnamon rolls this morning (although I'm getting ready to get me a couple of cinnamon rolls).

I finally got hold of my twin's daughter last night.  Their power came back on Monday morning, and everyone is doing o.k.

Randy, just heard on the national weather report (GMA weekend edition), that there is a good possibility of flooding along the Michigan and Kankakee Rivers, along with another river in Ill., that I'm not familiar with the name, and can't even remember the name of right now.  So, please, take care going through there, if that is the route you're taking.

We've got a current temp of 67 this morning in Metro Louisville, with sunny skies.  Supposed to get up to about 84 this afternoon.  Going to be another beautiful day, so the local power company can get the other 70,000(?) people without power back to having power in their homes.

You all have a good day, and Joe, I know you and Matt will enjoy your outing today.

....We attended a pipe organ recital last night here in a very old Catholic Church in downtown Muncie.  Church dates to late 1800's and the organ just received it's 2nd or 3rd rebuild and update.

I was thinking of taking a little digital but thought maybe I shouldn't, but others did.  Sorry I didn't.  Beautiful structure inside {and outside too}, and attendance was very good.

A video screen up front {to one side}, showed {live}, the organist as he played {located at the back up on balcony level}.  I wondered what  the 1800 designers would think to see something like that.....

Love all the pix - wedding and otherwise.  Wonder where we are going on our honeymoon?  Smile [:)]

Wanted to do something different today, so took a short ride up and down the east side of town - that was about 45 min and then bought me some shoes (Birk Clogs)  That was fun.  Driver told them we needed a pair of shoe boxes and that was it!  Thumbs Up [tup]  Black shoe boxes!

Wonder if Sir Chicken saw the Weiner Race in Cincinnati?  Da Boyz would have loved it.  Real hot dogs!

Off to run up and down the stairs in new shoe boxes.

Thought maybe it was time to stop by.  Pizza is perfect.  Don't get that now that Matt is off to school.

Heard from family living in the Louisvelle area that they had a four day stint without power.  No other damage reported with them.  Glad to hear that Walt, Paula and Sarah made it through without major problems.  We got maybe 2.5 inches over a day and a half.  NBD.

Haven't been paying all that much attention to the comings and goings, so I missed that Dan was getting hitched today.  Matt is at UW Oskosh with one of our cars that turns out needed some work on the AC.  A few weeks back, Dan was kind enough to refer us to a quality mechanic in Oshkosh and the problem was fixed at a very good price.  I'll keep that in mind next time someone tries to say that friends in cyberspace are not "real"

Heading up north in a couple of weeks to make the reunion of the Merrill High School Class of '58.  Outside of the fact that it will be a party for a bunch of "old people"  it should be a good time.

Next train thing up is a ride to California on the CZ the first week of November.  I'm not excited about that or anything.  I'll tell the engineer to keep the volume down when he highballs out of Lincoln.  Don't want to wake up the cat or the weatherman.

Stay well

Hi Jay!  You really need to drop in more often.

I haven't heard Amtrak lately - maybe they changed their head end and don't have that odd whistle that I always heard before.  So when you do go through (which could be anything from around 5 am to midday, ask the engineer to whistle "Alley Cat"....then I will know it is you!  Mischief [:-,]

Hi Jay, and welcome back!  As Mookie said, you really do need to drop in and see us more often!!

Coffee, juices, hot water for tea and hot chocolate are all ready for this morning.

On the breakfast/warmer bar this morning:  turkey bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns, tater tots and scrambled eggs.

If you smell some good aromas from the kitchen, I've got roast, taters and carrots cooking in a couple of Crock Pots for Sunday Dinner.

Enjoy your breakfast, and everyone have a good morning.

Well good morning. I am up early and will probably take a nap soon.... 63 and foggy in Carolina today and another day W/O lightning being forecast. I guess Dan is hopelessly married now, so all the best to the happy couple. She railfans too apparently, so it's a good matchup. Everybody have a good day

BNSF has been suspiciously quiet all nite and this morning.  They must be going to have a whopper of a parade sometime today.

Going out for lunch (Chinese) and then trackside to see if they are napping or if they moved the railyard sometime during the nite.....this could get interesting!
