refill, please & thank you!
***Garry, sorry about losing Janet. It did sound as though she was really suffering and however difficult it will be for Shelley, it sounds like a blessing of sorts. My sympathies to you both. That must be most difficult.
***Ryan, we are down to 10 Paints and 8 miniature horses. Also 2 mini donkeys, 8 mini Zebu cows, and a few assorted other critters. We don't breed horses anymore, so they are now pasture ornaments/lawn mowers. The only critters we've added recently are the Inlaws. Sorry you asked, eh?
Turned the water off to repair a seeping leak to one of the outside faucets. Needs to remain off for a couple hours while the glue dries, so will go finish bushhogging the back pasture now.

First off, Garry, our thoughts and prayers go out for you and the family.
And now for a little catching up to do....
Dick, the salsa recipe is on its way, I just need to type one up!
Duke, four weeks until Apex, and looking forward to seeing you again!
Tracklayer, sounds like you are getting some closure with Tiger the cat. Sounds like he wanted to make things better by making that donation and forgiveness on your part will help you heal too!
Scott, congratulations on the new found relationship, and hope that your training in GA won't put too much of a strain on it though. Sounds like you are getting all your ducks in a row and preparation for the trip is in full swing. Sometime things start happening real quick like!
Oh, and speaking of planets in alignment, Mars can been seen in the early morning sky just prior to sunrise, it is getting bigger and bigger every day as it continues to approach Earth, it will be at it's closest around Christmas this year. Venus is also in the "Morning Star" position now. Astronomy is another hobby we just started.
Printer, congrats on the little feller, he sure is some cute too!
Jeff, the new cameras really bring out the details on your layout now and looking forward to all your new images.
Rob, how many horses you got there buddy?
Mike, congrats on another photo selection on the Rail Images site. How are the kids?

You there, how'd you do that and what roel are they starting in? I've been wanting to get into railroad (Admittedly Amtrak somewhere where passenger service is strong, but I'm not too picky. I really want to thrill the little kids like I have been multiple times) But my High school knows squat.

Scott Great fun when everythings going your way, enjoy it.
Good afternoon y'all!
Chloe, how about a cup of coffee please? And a turkey club sandwich sounds purdy good right now. Thank ya!
I'm still bouncing off the walls with my current streak of good luck. I ain't use to this.
Printer: Boy, Sean is one healthy, happy lookin' little guy! Congrats to ya! Hope you feel better soon too; glad to hear that Sean is helpin' ya feel okay again.
inch: Cloud 9 is an understatement right now...
PC: Love the 8 cylinder reference! I'm like a long training running and I ain't gonna stop!
Jim in CG: Don't know how she is about model scenery...Not yet. Haven't really talked that much with her about model trains, just about the job and my irregular schedule that we'll have to work around.
Mark: Good luck at the dance man! Those things are pretty fun if you get in there and enjoy yourself, and ya never know what might happen.
Jerry: Nah, she ain't a train enthusiast, but she's accepting of it at least. I can't ask for too much more.
Gryphon: Good luck with UP or BNSF. jhhtrainsplanes who used to frequent here works for Uncle Pete around Arkansas. Maybe you can get in touch with him. It's been a while since he's been on though as far as I know. And I am only 18, straigh outta high school and onto the railroad!
Rob: All is right well with me! And I GoogleMapped your address, and it's only about two hours away from where I'll be, so that's not gonna be much of a drive at all!
Mmmkay, I'll see y'all around!

***Horses and other critters come first, THEN trains. I hear the donkeys calling for breakfast, gotta go.
I have just one word for you Rob.......OUCH!
(BTW, forget hay.......think train stuff!)
The usual, and some freshif available. That stuff is addictive, but sooo good. Thanks!
***Printer, Sean is a cutie.
***Scott, congrats on the girlfriend. All sounds right with the world for you these days.
***Tracklayer, here in the country a stray dog is shot if it is messing with someones livestock, or belongs to a fueding neighbor. If you are cordial with your neighbors and your dog(s) get out, they will call you instead. But some out here, especially children of redneck poacher types, shoot everything that move from song birds to turtles. Honestly, I have little respect for most of the people I have met in North Georgia. My worth.
***Philip, funny you should ask about the inlaws. I do not know how Barbara maintains her cool, except she has practiced with patients at the hospital for many years. The MIL's switch must have been triggered this morning and she is on the warpath again. Her eyes reminded me of Gollum from Tolkien's work. Found out the ambulance would cost $1,600 to transport the FIL from nursing home to Doctors office and then to farm, so I told the wife I'll pick him up and put him in the van myself, no problem. You know how much hay that can buy!
Speaking of hay, need to pick up a couple round bales. Still no rain in sight. Have a nice afternoon all! Rob

Hey all.
Just popping in before s****l... The weekend is going to be busy also... but fun.
So far the weekend looks like this: Soccer game in the AM, and going to try to go to a train club meeting later that day. It'll be mixed up because my aunt is having a baby soon.
Anyways,
Scott: Nice! I'm still looking for one... There is a 7/8th dance on friday though...
Tracklayer: You have a good heart. You and your cat are in my prayers.
Well... It's about that time...
Mark
A quick Good Morning, all! Zoe, cup of mocha to go, please!
Scott, congrats on the additional good news - but have you checked with the girlfriend on how well she does scenery, weathering, tracklaying (on the layout, not at work )?
Tracklayer, you have a good attitude in dealing with Tiger's loss. You might be right about if the shoe were on the other foot, from what I've seen of a lot of cats. At one psychologist's office I used to work in, he had a yellow tabby male cat that had wandered up and 'adopted' the Dr., stayed at his house. The cat had lost the last 4-6 inches of its tale somewhere before he showed up, so the Dr. named him Bobby. If a client opened the door to the Dr.'s office, Bobby would just invite himself in, and if no one came in or out, Bobby would sit outside the window (basement office, so Bobby could be seen easily) until someone opened the door to let him in. Reminded me of the saying - "Dogs have owners; cats have staff."
Inch, good to see you posting pics again. You've been busy with the young'uns and haven't probably had the time. Enjoy your pics.
Printer, that's a cute buddy you have there in Sean. Bet you all are pleased as punch with him.
Well, I'm at work, so better get going. See everyone later!
Blessings,
Jim in Cape Girardeau
Good morning, All.
I think that I will sit over here in the corner booth and savor the flavor of my coffee. I got my canning done and have the time to think of other things. The ten day forecast looks dry in the mid to high 70's, which is a little cool. The closest sprinkles might hit Portland today.
Have a great day, all.
Sue
Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Mornin' All!
Lookin' like it might rain later.....we'll see. As of right now, it's looking like I might get some layout time this weekend!

Rob, hows the inlaw thing going? Any more misadventures? How's the well holding out? Any rain coming?
Printer, thats a good lookin' boy ya got there!
Scott, my man! What up! You're just hitting on all 8 cylinders, aren't you? Congrats to you!
Tracklayer, I think you're doing the right thing. You're a good man.
Mornin, coffee Zoe,
Getting a little rain here, with a chance of off n on showers all day, and the next 2-3 days. No complaints here, we need it, since we're also in the drought now.
ED, thanks for the heads up on rail images, I hadn't been over there yet. Guess I just got the lucky shot again.
ROB,, the track is still in use, [top of the rail is shiny], they haul cars from the IC into Charleston every couple days
JERRY,, they built an overpass over the south yard end a few years ago, to get into the industrial park.
PRINTER,, cute little feller ya gots there. Me n the grandkids enjoy our naps together still.
SCOTT , congrads on the lady friend. With her and the RR job, ya must be on cloud 9
When we got to Effingham, we decided to go down by the old PRR yard and get some pics from there.
This is of the main line looking west
Looking east, you can see some of the Station there on the left
Got these on the south side of the yard
That's enough for today; I've still got to upload some more.
Best gets round, bout time to wake Leroy up n feed him, so he can catch the bus
Thoughts for all in need, GARY hope the surgery goes well on your SIL. Hope ya'll has a gooden n stay safe.

Thank you Cederstrand. It's not easy to forgive for something like that, but I refuse to lower myself to his level. I also have to share in the blame because if I hadn't gotten into a habit of puting Tiger out on a leash and a false sense of security thinking he would be okay he would still be here right now... I hope that one day the same leash laws that apply to the towns and cities also apply to the rural areas as well, and that any dog that does damage or kills another animal like a cat will be put to sleep and the owner harshly fined!.

His name is Sean.
Thank you printer. It's been hard to say the least, but we'll eventually heal. If the shoe had been on the other foot and it had been me that was killed by the dog instead of Tiger, Tiger would have probably said - oh, too bad, I liked him, so what's for dinner?. Rotten cat... I'm sure going to miss him.
That's one cute little buddy you've got there. I bet he's a lot of fun.
