Good Morning All
This is coming to you live from the East Scotian Slope, which is approx. Way the heck out to sea some 200 miles SE off Halifax. We deployed a set of current meters this morning in about 2000 metres of water. We are now headed to the NE to the second site south of the Grand Banks. Some 270 nm distant. Got the wiring done last night but haven't figured what to do nex paint the running board sides yellow or go with red window sills.
Mmmmm decisions decisions. I don't think the yellow and red would work together as it might be a tad too garish. Any thoughts gents?

Good morning everyone.....slept late this morning, the anniversary dinner did me in.....too much "fruit of the vine". Cloudy day here today with patches of blue sky every now and then. I want to get the rest of the seedling evergreen trees planted, but with cloudy skies I think the May Flies might be too pesty.
MIKE: Glad to hear that you got tiller going, I have to run to the repair shop Monday to pick up the shims, and hopefully that fixes the problem. My son has the Pony Model tiller (5 HP ) but that is smaller and DIRECT DRIVE...you know what that means Mike, you hit something in the ground and the tiller will either run away with you or nearly throw you over the handle bars.., my 8 hp Horse Model is belt engage, so it just squeels like a wounded pig if it gets too bogged down.
DER JOHN & JEFF: There are many medical companies here in MA working on all areas of Diabetes. One thing that they have out now that would be great for you and JEFF is the implanted monitor/insulin feeder. This monitors you CONSTANTLY and adjusts your GL realtime. Have you guys considered this at all?
FERGIE: You are really out in the deep!!! Have you had a chance to talk with the scientists at all? Did you bring your 000 brushes to paint the tiny window frames of the locos? That will take steady seas to accomplish for sure.
PAUL: Let me see if I have this straight.....you are constructing a "cat house" attached to your barn? And Mary Ann wouldn't let you get a Border Collie to help you bring in the cattle of hot humid days to save your health? Paint the picture for her.....it is 110F, Rh of 98% Dew Points in the 70's and a tornado warning is up. The cattle need to be brought in. You say to old Shep " Go get em Shep " and off he runs herding the cattle like a flash all back into the barn while you and Mary Ann sip on a Mango Iced tea on the back porch in the shade. LOL
Hello from Michigan...
Der is right about the keyboard I'm using here. To type letter "p" I copy one from other text. I can not "tye" it.
Tim Hortons coffee is available in Detroit area so I'll take one. Actually we're off in a few minutes to brunch at one of the best breakfast restaurants in northern 'burbs.
Hope to get to train store to stock up.
Bye..........

Pass the biscuits and gravy, Jeffrey.
I slept in late this morning (about 7:00). I think that I will do a batch of hardshell before heading outside.
Dick, Happy Aniversary. Isn't it a little late to plant trees in your neck of the woods?
Paul, Hope that you survive the gun show. .
Later, Sue
Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
well here are the pics of the suff I got Satruday.
Jerry: You're gonna be doing dishes for a WHILE! I'm going for the steak and lobster.
And a Russian beer to wash it down.

Jeffrey,
You do manage to come up with the tasiest dinners. I'll definately have to go with the same.
Gary: Is that some of your own concoction like a ground goop? Or a type of glue shell?
Inch: You seem to like that mower, you might end up mowing the whole neighborhood.
Paul: Hope the gun show went well for your friend. Every time you look , That damn Cancer rears it's ugly head. I'm still trying to figure how to deal w/ loosing my wife to it 3 1/2 weeks ago. These tracks you mention, is it the 1:1 real stuff? - sounds like it.
Sue: did you leave any of that great cheesecake, of did you take as a snack to do the hardshell?
Colby: Where's this Topsham show? Have you ever come down for the Springfield one?
Dick: I guess you're allowed some fun once in a while, hope you had a great anniversary.
The weather here is cloudy and gray skies, thought I saw the sun poke out for a minute or two earlier. Just been goofing off around the house, all the kids are off with thier stuff, marching band in NH, work and at friend's house. The empty house isn't that great to be in right about this time. Guess I'll go out and clean the mess of tools in my truck to keep busy.
Have a good evening,

Man! Everyone has been working on the layouts and they all look great!
Today has been busy for me too! I railfanned this morning. I took Maggie, my English Bulldog, with me and we swung by Petsmart for a new harness and leash. Then I bought a couple of trees, planted them, then set out the lawn furnature for the season.
Oh, and did I forget to mention.....I bought a car! I got the guy down to $150....and I drove it home! She ait pretty, but it'll make a decent work beater as I fix it up. Once I've got it reliable then maybe the daughter can drive it. Anyays, check it out!
Busy day!
Oh, yeah, thanks for reminding me Chloe! I'll have the grilled shimp...Thanks!

If I didn't pig out on the steak and lobster I would have room for some of those good looking shrimp.
Philip,
See any action while railfanning?
Your trip with Maggie reminds me of taking my Dashound to Pet Smart to pick up goodies. He sniffed out his toy and carried it up to the register. Reminds me of the commercial with the dog picking up his new Bobo. (same dog in the commercial too).

Yeah, she had a ball! She always gets a lot of attention. She's a looker ya know!
Good evening. I will have a root beer float since the cheesecake is gone.
I managed to get my hardshell done and painted brown before I went out to mow the lawn. Now I will try to muster up the energy to attach the retaining wall pieces.

Philip, it was a good day afterall.
Evening Gang: The gun show went OK. We didn't do a lot of business but yesterday was better. I checked things out and figured that my gun room is worth a lot more then I ever figured. Prices were high to me. I haven't bought anything for a couple of years. The last buy was a Bushmaster M-4 flat top. I'm looking for an Aimpoint red dot scope for it. Those go for around $450 to $500. The red dot scope that I have is a cheapie and goes through batteries. I'd hate to have it go out when I need it most.
Phill: $150 and it runs? That's a deal for sure.
Bob: My friend is hanging in there. He's already lasted longer then the average. Actually today he looked better then he did a month ago. He has put on a lot of weight that he's not happy about. It's the steroids. Anyway he has a good attitude and that's good.
Lee it's good to see you. So what's been going on? I know that the shipping season has started. The lake levels don't look good. The 1000 footers are sailing with 3 to 4 thousand tons less then last year.
Fergie: Yellow and red to garish? This from the guy with the PINK Challenger!!!!
( Teffy made me do it )
Sue: I survived the show and my wallet was unharmed. The prices were just too high for me.
Well since I got up so early I'm pooped.
Colby: That's some nice stuff you got at the show. The engine house looks good. The diesel you got with the long nose is an Alco PA-1. Have fun.
Good Night All
Good evening Diners! Overcast and trying to rain most of the day, but got in a walk after lunch anyway. Still too cold to not wear some sort of gloves and a hat. No mrr today. I could have done some rock painting, but hat would have meant changing clothes, and in the end catching up on Daily Planet from Friday night, and so on won out. Sawdust mix still too damp and delicate to attempt removing the plastic dividers for the access hatches (the whole of the top of my long tunnel section comes off for access, it’s about 4 feet long. In fact all that tunnel can be accessed from a series of hatches.)
Paul:
the (Shudder) dreaded ALARM CLOCK !!! I've only used it once since 2 Feb. That's retardment for you.
Sue:
I finally got my snow tires off today.
Dick:
This monitors you CONSTANTLY and adjusts your GL realtime. Have you guys considered this at all?

Santa Fe F unite of sorts
PC: for $150 I think you did OK. Hope the fixings don’t come to too much.
Time to seek my bed. Hope you all have a great new week. Goodnight all, and God Bless. Prayers for all in need of healing, comfort and peace.
Evening, think I'll have some blackberry cobbler, ice cream n coffee Floe, that not to hard on Jerry's pocket.
Spent most the day outside with chores n kids, so nothing done inside. #2 son and DIL came down with their 4 boys for lunch. Did get some more mowing and weed eatin done.
DICK,, A happy anniiverary to you n yours.
Got through the garden with the tiller, still a little wet, but it needed opening up to dry. Figure on running through it again tomorrow deep. Should be ready to start planting Tuesday.
Never did like those direct drive, they'll hurt ya. Hope you get yours running soon.
FERGIE,,, sound like an interesting trip your on. Can you let us know some of the findings.
JEFF,, liked all the layout pics, looks good so far.
ROBERT,, no I don't like mowing that much, but I do the yard next door for an older couple that have trouble getting round and no close family here, so I help them out.
PC, not a bad looking car, but you know your daughter wanted a muscle car like dad had, don't you. Great photos to, keepem coming. I can't seem to get out much for any lately
Gotta kid spending the night to catch the bus here, but then should be kid free till the evening school bus run. Got so more outside chores again tomorrow. What doesn't get done then will have to wait till the weekend. Time for bed, think I did to much again today, ya'll has good one.

Good evening to all......thought I would drop into the Diner before heading off to bed....the rains held off long enough to get the rest of the evergreen seedlings planted ( 50 ). Looks like we have a nice spell of weather setting up for the next 12 days, so I am going to plant whatever I can in the garden and shoot for an early start with the veggies ( all except Tomatos, they need hot, humid weather )
DER JOHN: That implanted device needs very little care, a 12 year old boy has one here in town and is very active in sports..he of course has Type I Diabetes.
SUE: Not too late to plant trees here at all, in fact, the season is just starting here. We plant trees right up until June, and even into June if the weather is right. I have planted trees in July and August with no losses. For seedlings, it is far better to plant in Spring because the roots are so small, they would need constant water attention if planted in the Summer.
TRAIN STUFF: I bit the bullet and ordered an undecorated 2-10-2 from my LHS. The old B&A and NYC ran them here in New England, as well as the B&M. I will make sure that my layout main line accomodates a radius that is comensurate with this baby.
Time to turn in, see you guys for breakfast.
Good morning and top 'o' the day to all of ye.
Gotta go mow my parents yard today. That's only 5 1/2 acres. How long can that take? Most of the morning? Oh well, things could be worse.Today's Weather for: Sundown, LA 71446-6114 4/30/2007 Sundown Fire Dept., Station 23

post a pic of it so I can compare. mug shots would be nice.
Well I finished resetting up my layout. now it looks some what like one I had but bigger and not as much yard capicty. I leave my passenger cars on the only siding that alailable and I leave the train on the main. the engine shed I use for one steam and one diesle. I have insulated one of the tracks in the engine house. so if I want to switch engines. I can put one on the main, pull the other out of the shed move it in to the other stall and back the engine that's on the main into the insulated stall.
complacated an't it?
Good morning everyone.....cloudy with heavy showers at times as a front moves through the area, but alas, with this front we have a nice High pressure system moving in that give us clear weather for the next 12 days...I can take that.
Waiting to hear from my LHS for the delivery of the 2-10-2, in the meantime, I will be measuring and cutting out the lift out bridge for the layout. Then I think I will get back to CAD layout manual and attempt to learn CADRail.
BOBK: When you mentioned the marching bands up in NH, you brought back memories of my youth...my wife, then my girlfriend, was in the Leicester Girls Drum Corp, and me and few other guys would follow the band to their competitions. It seems so long ago, where do the years go. How are you doing Bob ?
TROLLEY ROB: Where have you been?? We haven't heard from you in months?
MIKE: Just called the tiller repair shop, the shims came in, so I will be headed over to Charlton to pick those up today. I sure hope that fixes the problem. I see you were able to get one pass completed, at least that loosens the soil and allows it to dry and aerate.

Mornin' all!
Not much going on here....just doin' the work thing.
Bought my boy a new fishing pole this morning. He doesn't know it yet though. He's still trying to get his 25 year old, beat to death Zebco to work, and it's not cooperating. I picked him up a new ugly stick and signature seris reel along with some new tackle and a new tackle box. Should make his day!
