Good Morning All,
A regular and one of Bills donuts please Zoe. Already it's a nice day out with sun and mild temps.
PC - you need to get a new mattress for that cot it's really getting lumpy or is that where all the purloined pie plates are hidden?
Looks like breakfast is on me so come on in. I highly recommend the special : New England Breakfast - it's cooking right out back go and help yourself while the girls get coffee (guest goes out back and door promptly slams locked behind him).
Out to the yard to move trailers and tidy up a bit. We'll be back in later, hope you all have a goodun' . CUL J.R.
Good morning and top 'o' the day to all of ye.

Good Morning Zoe - yep, I didn't get blown away - still here! I'll have the breakfast bar this morning, and a cup of coffee, and would you thank JR when he gets back in for me, please? Great.
Supposed to be a lot of rain here today, but only a slight risk of bad storms (with possibly hail, lightning, driving rain). That might get us a bit less hectic day at work today.
And speaking of today, it's C O N S O L I D A T I O N arrival day, isn't it, Mark? Hope it arrives safe and sound, and that those windstorms didn't blow the truck with your package off the road.
My computer stuff should also arrive today - FedEx's site says it left Memphis yesterday, so it should have arrived/be arriving in our distribution center (near the airport, a bit south of Cape) and heading out on the delivery truck this a.m.
No work on the MRR last night for me, but it looks like several of you have been busy. JR, those buildings look great!
Thanks for the info, Jeff - now, if I can get Walthers to put some of the older diesel locos on sale (say a GP-7 or a SW7). That's a good idea you have there!
Haven't heard from PC this morning yet - maybe I should have Zoe check the cot and wake him up?
Better go get my raincoat out for today, huh? Those of you east of us, better enjoy that sun you had yesterday, 'cause it may be going away today as this front heads east.
Have a ducky day!
Blessings,

Mornin' sports fans,
Just a quick one this morning as we are finishing packing and heading out on another trip. This time we're headed up north of the Rio Bravo. Going to a reunion of old 'retarded' workers from my old company. Of course, we'll be seeing some friends and family while we're up there. And maybe even stopping in at my (not so Local) Hobby Shop.
I'll tell you what, all this traveling is tiring. I'm sure glad I'm retarded so I can take naps when the spirit moves me (or "when it doesn't move me" may be a better way of putting it) to rest up.
Paul, sounds like you're discovering how tiring it is to be retarded. I'll try to give you a shout once I'm up in the land of reasonably priced phone calls.
If I can find a computer I will try to check in, but no guarantees. Back in a couple of weeks anyway.
Regards
Ed
Good Morning........
Chloe, I'll have the western omelet with some hash browns and a tall glass of Ed's Fresh Squeezed, please! Oh, and thanks for picking up the bill today J.R.!
I put down some more cork roadbed for the wyes section around the turntable and also added two track sections and one will be the DCC programming track.
Dick, PC, Jerry, glad to be of service with lunch yesterday.
Psst....hey, PC, wake up man, the pie police just walked in through the back door....hurry up.....
Mark, I'm looking forward to my retardment too! LOL, good one!
Jim, I like the new mugs! The coffee tastes better in them too!
Hey Paul, good luck with the weather and the funnel clouds. So, retardment is treating you well too, eh!
J.R., I like the way the factory scene is coming together, and the modular stuff really looks interesting too. I am going to have to look into that stuff for a portion of my layout. Oh, and thanks again for breakfast this morning!
Ed, have a wonderful and safe trip!

What is it about pie.
Shouldn't we be railroadin', not talkin about food?
How much did that ice cream cost?
Hey guys. found these while looking for somthing. flood of 1987. Dover-Foxcroft, Maine
Hello everybody.
Speaking of pies, a mathametician bakes his in square pans. Pie are squared !
Oh, never mind! Meanwhile, back at the roundhouse...........
Bye.

There is a pie filling shortage and the cooks (cloe and Zoe) have resorted to using used rail spikes.
No wounder why the pies taste rusty
Better leave before the twins get the frying pans
Good evening, Chloe - I heard some hollering and what sounded like frying pans banging against something.... Oh, I brought a gallon of vanilla ice cream and one of chocolate ice cream. There wasn't any last night, so I skipped having any pie without ice cream. So if there's any apple pie left, just put a scoop of the vanilla on it, please. What?!... PC!!!

Groannnn!
Well, I don't know if Hoople got the Connie today, but my computer stuff arrived. Already have the drive in place, formatted, and copied my files from the smaller (original) drive over to it. Hopefully, Mark's not being in since earlier means that he got his package and he's trying it out.
JR, we got some blue mugs for those wanting a different color, too.
Ed, hope you have a fun trip and reunion (and trip to the N-S-LHS).
I'll probably be looking over some MRR books tonight if I don't get called out (and I hope to have a calm evening). Hope everyone has an enjoyable evening.
Blessings, and a good evening,
I don't even like pie!
I've been just a little bit busy today.
I think she pretty serious about her pie !!
Hey guys
I thought to stop by for a quick cup of coffee
Hey, Chloe - a cup to go, please. Thanks Jeff - and the 'concrete' apron and road look great. You have been busy.
Dan, haven't seen you for a while - have you been in the Diner since we moved here? Good to see you again. Oh, that might be enough pies for PC, but we're gonna need bigger ones, I think.
Got to go for now - see everyone in the morning!
Blessings and a good night,

She's HARDCORE!
Evening Gang: Well I was wrong about the lakes being full. We checked out Lake Weatherford today and it looks like it's still 4 to 5 ft. low. I saw on TV that a bunch of the lakes in N. Texas are still up to 6ft low. I guess we still need rain. It's going to take a while yet to break this drought. It is looking a whole lot better though.
Hoople: I hope that the consolidation got there. If it didn't it will be there for sure tomorrow.
JR: The second factory looks good. I made a building out of DPM moduals. I like working with the moduals but sometimes I get builders block. One of these days I'll drag it out and finish it.
The storm last night didn't cause any damage around here but some homes east of us lost there roofs and some trees were down. The best news was no one was injured. With that I'll head for bed.
Good Night All
Good Eveniing All,
If there's to be a pie throwing contest I could be persuaded to be the target though I much prefer my pie - ala mode.
Paul - I like the modulars as well. Easier to build as I needn't bother with the directions and none of the easily available stuff was big enough. I might see if some of the newer high rise jobs are good but in the mean time I have an eye on the DPM modular on sale with Walthers and I think it's Vickies' Fashions from City Classics. I like the look of the brick buildings a lot so once the large factories are done more of those might sprout in town. I'm also thinking of a small commuter station at track level on the elevated section but I want to wait to see how the rest works out for space. The other thing is finding a small station that is made in a style that fits the area. Most urban stops are block or brick and most model stations seem to be wood.Lots to ponder anyway while i get back to it for a bit before turning in. CUL,J.R.
Good evening gents, just got on the PC after a long day. We headed off to Warren, Ma to my favorite HS, bought two cars and two new books, one book was a guide to all the depots and freight houses in Southern NE, the 2nd was a new book on steam in Southern New England, many pictures of locomotives and their history that ran on the lines in this area.
We ate at the Palmer Train Depot, now called the Steaming Tender, right at the Diamond. While we were there an 85 car train rolled east carrying all car carriers. Later , 4 Diesel units headed back west.
JEFF: Good progress on the layout, looks like you put in a full days work !
PAUL: The weather news on the Boston station here said that a tornado did some sewrious damage in Texas in four counties, 7 people dead, was that near you?
