g'day mate's. I'll take a large Cole and a 5th of Jack Daniels.
Been out rebuilding a bunch of old computers today, talking about taking a big step into the past! These were Apples, IBM's, Tandy's and the odd Commodore.
These are the two oldest ones I worked on.
That's an Osborne System 1.
And that's an Apple IIe. I have one in my closet that still works and has everything but the printer.

Morning All;
Just a coffee ad a couple slices of toast for me this morning. Wouldn't want to mess up this girlish figure. Not sure what to do today. Suppose I should check my calender see if there is a show or open house to go to. Or I could work on the house. Or I could do nothing for a change. Afterall it has been a extremely challanging week. "Challenging" is code for a very, very screwed up week and besides it is a little bit more appropriate to say in polite society.
Just got myself a Photobucket account, so with any luck I will be able to post pictures and/or sketches.
Anyways, got to go for now. Will check back in later and perhaps have a drink or two when it is a little closer to noon. Although, whe you think about it, it has to be noon somewhere.
Good morning and top 'o' the day to all of ye.
I'll have an Irish coffee, heavy on the whiskey. Also, bacon and eggs.
Just getting ready for a day at work. I hope I can make it to 4 pm, I usually don't last past 3. With the state my health is in, my energy doesn't last long.
Mornin,, I'll have an irish coffee Joe, another cold morning here.
Doing some running this morning, then outside cleaning up leaves. Catch ya'll laters

Evenin all, aonther cold one Joe if ya would,
No kids tonight, so getten a little MRR time.
MR. B.,,,, the graffics I what I was talking bout, not knowing how to do. don't even know what kind of printers we got, other than they're Lexmark. Which we'll never buy again. Not a Lopez fan either. Don't go the the movie theator very offen, can't set that long with out gettin up and walking round.
Mike ,,, glad the quiting is still going good, hang in there. The Hobby Lobby in Terre Haute has had much of any, but train set there. The trees and scernery stuff was cheaper at the LHS over there.
Well back to some play time, catch ya'll latters.
Mike, I have a Bachmann GP40 that I bought in Germany almost 30 years ago. It's the most dependable Bachmann I have. I paid $17 (44 marks) for it new.
In case you didn't already know, you can get those 40% off coupons for Hobby Lobby about every third week online, and fairly frequently in the newspapers.
Well...Guess you know (by now) I'm not an English major!
This now makes all the sense; smothered, "to stifle, choke or suffocate."
Thanks.
inch53 wrote:Mr. B,,, may try your idea for the decals, but like I just told JB, don't know how yet.
Are you implying that I know how? The fact is, I have made precisely one sheet of decals. The first time I put one into a bowl of water, all the ink immediately dissolved and settled in the bottom of the bowl. Then I read the directions. Since then, I've had pretty good results.
For the price of a trip to the theater to see a Jennifer Lopez movie, you could be sitting down in your basement putting your own decals on freight cars. But remember, they won't let you drink a beer in the theater.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Colvin, I looked up the literal translation of étouffée and here is what I found:
In French, the word "étouffée" means, literally, "smothered", from the verb "étouffer" meaning "to stifle, choke or suffocate."
Usually I make a shrimp or crawfish étouffée and serve it over rice.
