What?!? The EPA? That wouldn't be prototypical. The EPA didn't come into existence until 1970, and my layout is set in 1967, mostly. Actually, it was characters like Monty and Wayland who made the EPA a necessity.
Just an odd co-incidence, but the building I work in was built on a reclaimed Superfund site. We're surrounded by the kind of grassy knolls you typically see in a capped landfill, and there's even a pond with ducks and geese. Somebody noticed that no matter how cold it gets in the winter, that particular pond never freezes over...
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
My cholesterol is up there, so I'm on Lipitor until they come up with something better, and I don't eat a "Jeffrey breakfast" in the morning, either. My colonoscopy came back clean. (Hmm, "clean" doesn't sound like quite the right word there.)
I too, have high cholesterol...To go along with the high blood pressure! My Dad is 85 and has better numbers than I do, and he eats any and everything! What gives? Oh well
My father eats much the same things I do and he's in excellent health, and he's 73.
I'll have a Pale Ale with a lime Joe...And set up the house too!
Mr. B I too, have high cholesterol...To go along with the high blood pressure! My Dad is 85 and has better numbers than I do, and he eats any and everything! What gives? Oh well...I woke up breathing this morning, made it through the day and I'm having a cold one....All seems right!
Jeffrey, it sounds like the docs have a plan, stick with all they say to do! If they think it's an infection, then the PSA test must be with in range...Not to worry!
Chris and Ryan: I never did get any PM's from you all regarding recipes. Maybe we should just post them here??!!?? What do the rest of you think about that? MR. B, wasn't it you that was going to do my shrimp etoufee? Did you get around to it? Did it turn out?

Maintain that positive attitude, regardless of the outcome of the tests. If nothing else, they're testing for these things earlier all the time, and catching most of them before they become too serious to deal with. I'm sure you'll be buying rounds for the rest of us when you're 90. Tough to stop a train once it gets moving, you know. Almost lunch time...One cold one frist Joe..Then I'll order. BTW, what's the special today?
Well...Didn't make it out to the shop to run paneling, nor out to the Trainroom to run trains! I had apples calling my name this morning that had to be addressed. So I pressed a bushel or two, coming up with about 7 gal. of cider. A couple jugs are in the cellar (I like hot mulled cider this time of year), but the rest went into "primary" with a little yeast. I may have some "Jack" for Christmas or the New Year if all goes well...
I do have to get out to the shop and push a few boards before heading for town and a swim meet this afternoon...So I'd better get a movin'

A-yuh. And when it's over, what's left of the coffee will come back to us in a barrel marked "Heavy Crude."

No, we use "Modellers' License" here to adjust the rules appropriately. For instance, there's no Interstate Commerce Commission out there banning the use of "billboard reefers," so all those colorful cars are still perfectly legit on our roads. Likewise, you won't be served a beer, other than a root beer, but you're free to mooch the popcorn and beer nuts. Joe's coffee will clear the morning fog from the bay in Downeast Maine, so you might want to stick to the OJ in the AM.
Cup o' coffee, by the way, Joe. I've gotta meet with Government types this morning, and I'll need it.
One cold one here Joe, I'll take a Summit Extra Pale Ale with a wedge of lime...And set um up for who ever else needs one!
We've had rain today too, but we really need it, so that's OK with me. And as mentioned, the bad weather drives us into the Trainroom! Or in my case the addition project. I didn't get to the paneling, but I do have EVERYTHING else done and I am ready for the paneling! Soooo...Tomorrow I'll run some through the saw and start nailing. Did I mention that I am making the paneling??
The dimension lumber for the framing came from the lumber yard, but all of the interior lumber (actually for our entire house and Trainroom benchwork too) comes from our "Tree Farm". It is truly a labor of love...Or as my wife puts it "He graduated from The School Of Do It Yourself...The Hardest Way Possible". Which for the most part is true!
Each piece of Aspen paneling for the new library went through the sawmill at least three times to make a rough cut board, then it got "dry stickered" out in the barn, turned once after 6 months and stickered again ...continuing to air dry for at least a year. Now the real fun begins; with two passes through the saw again (re-saw process to produce a standard width), three times through the planner to get it to a standard thickness, then twice more, either through the saw with a dado to make "ship-lap" or the spindle shaper to make tongue and groove.
Soooo....To say the least, the Trainroom is experiencing a "Slow Order" until I get the addition somewhat under control. That, of course is under the direction of the CEO of Home Development. On the other hand when she cuts me loose (in the Trainroom that is)...I'm loose and the construction season is "full tilt"!
