Yup, Friday the 25th! so get all your presents in the mail already! {LOL}
Ken: might behoove you to take soome time and re-condition your property! If that 72K means you have more than 20% in equity, then be SURE you are no longer paying for PMI, Private Mortgage Insurance. YOU ight have to pay for another rating and valuation, but It might behoove you to look into it!
Bayfield: they will probably find it, if they have concern, they are probably right, No big deal if they do, was what we were explaining, unless your insurance won't pay for the machine! I use the whole nose-covering mask not the nasal pillows. Don't be afraid to find hte "rihgt mask} for you!
YGW: great for you! now you can decorate the walls of YOUR house. Whats that you say? Oh, its NOT "Your house", it's hte little woman's? I see..well get HER permsision to hang in the train room!
well, I cna't sleep now that the contract has been signed. APparently it is part of divorce, so may jsut tke the offeR. ALSO our agent come up with comparable SOLDS in the area/school district it is in. SO they support the price we offer. Not hoping to go much higher, and won't as only one other house had about the same {smaller} SF, and it sold at $4,900 below asking and had no grarage, no newer kit and appliance. so we think our price at $7,900 below is not so bad. we will include the comparables if they counter...Here's HOPING!
well, time shortly for "second sleep"....
later, sleep well for those hwo cna sleep...

Evening Diners late night,
I just won a slightly used Kato SD80MAC Conrail 4123. I been looking for this particle locomotive for 4 years, and I found at a very good price $67.15 with shipping.
I tried to order 4 BLMA trailer train 89' flatcars (1970s version). Some guy before me ordered and clearned out their stock. Leaving one item category left. Old lessons die hard, buy them before their sold out.

Flo, please and one for Bayfeild as well.
Bayfeild Push for a home test! When I had my first sleep test it was at a local clinc, and the mattress was hard as a Rock! I was in deep sleep for a whole 5 minutes! No wonder all the test showed was I sorned some. After I started using my VA Benafits, I got a home study and then got my CPAP.
YGW Sorry I had to hang up so soon, it was my boss calling. Was asking me about something Drunk Dave did, guess I am his keeper now. Hope we can talk again Friday.
Credit Score, guess it is getting better. I just got a preapproved refinance loan offer on the house. Loan is for $7.22 per thousand owed on the house for 15 years. That would make my payment $519.84 a month plus all the other stuff tacked on. Payment would be about the same as the one I have with BoS that is a 30 year loan. Letter all so states I have $71,802 in equaty (spell check). Well, not in the shape it is in. Be nice to pay to have if fixed up so I can sale it.
See you all latter.

Oh, I'm not worried about the sleep study... I know several people who have been through it. I guess I'm mostly worried that they WON'T find sleep apnea and it's back to the drawing board.

Good for you Ulrich!
Meeting the RE agent shortly to sign the new contract on 228 torrence Ave.
Good Evening Folks!
I am beat and although it is quite early I´ll be heading for the hay in a few moments. What happened?
Welp, I got a call from my former comrade in arms of my political campaign, telling me he´ll be with me in less than hour, then head together to our DIY place to buy all the lumber I need for that little layout and start building the benchwork. Which we did. I didn´to much more than lending a helping hand now and then, but I am still beat! It was fun doing that together! The "table" is not yet finished, but the main things are done. It still needs sanding and painting and when that´s done, it will look like a piece of furniture!
Good to have friends like Claus (without the Santa)!
Michael wrote - Wish me luck. I'm doing a sleep study Monday night, my doc thinks I may have sleep apnea - FIRST OF ALL - Welcome to the post !!! Glad to have ya hear. The sleep apena thing is very important to find out about. I gound out that if you have it it leads to heart issues ( makes the walls of the heart thicker ) weight gain, your metabolism slows down ... I have a severe case and getting ready to get the machine.

Hello Ulrich (hope you are doing okay today ) , Galaxy ( the right house will come ) Johnboy, Dennis...............

YGW
Another glorious morning in Arizona. The morning temperature was 75, making for a great ride. Add to that riding with a neighbor-friend, and it made for the perfect way to start the day. It is still getting warm in the afternoon (near 100) but as long as it cools down in the evening, I can live with it. It is also drying out some--the morning humidity was about 47% and by this afternoon it should drop into the low 30%'s. We are nearing the perfect time of year for riding, and I will be knocked off the bike for 6-8 weeks with the surgery. Oh well, what can you do.
Richard
Mornin' everyone!
Zoe, I'll have a bowl of Heritage Flakes Cereal with fresh blueberries and a pot of Marrakesh Express Dark Roast Coffee. Yes, my R&GV RR mug will do nicely.
Michael (Bayfield), The sleep test is a piece of cake! Most doctors are now using an at home system, where you are instructed on how to put on a small computer thingie that measures breathing, blood presure, blood oxygen level, and heartbeat. Then you just sleep (somewhat) as you normally would (or wouldn't). Next day you take it back to them, and later that day they let you know what is going on. At least that is what they did for me. Didn't have to go to their center and be monitored all night while you toss and turn and try to pretend to be asleep.... I also use the nasal pillow type of face thing and while I get a touch of dry mouth on occassion I am not bothered by it. Haven't slept so good in many years as I do now. Not hard to get used to at all. Oh! Welcome aboard the diner! Good to have you here...
Manét has an appointment for a blood sugar check today. I do hope he has improved! I managed to get a urine sample from him this morning. He climbed in the litter box after his breakfast and I managed to get a small plastic container under his butt and catch enough to do the trst. I will be taking that over to the vet soon so they can run the test and have the reslkuts when I get him there this afternoon. I will be checking the house for any more stuff to take over to the landfill Saturday morning for the Haz. Waste day.
Should get busy doing some stuff that needs to get done I guess. Catch you all later!

CPAP machines. LION has one of those. Him just uses the "nasal pillows" but of course him have problem with opening mouth. LION puts on a soft foam C-colar before bedtime, keeps mouth closed. They will not tell you that, since it is a non-standard remedy for which they do not get reimbursed and you would have to pay for out of pocket. But the little velcro strap that they will sell you for this purpose costs just as much (go figure) and does not work (in opinion of LION) half as well. (read not at all.)

Today is Thursday, September 17th, 2015!
only 8 more days after today for my B-Day, Get your presents to me in the mail!
Today's Word:
Bayfield:
I have had a CPAP machine for sleep apnea for many many years now. Been through 2 machines.
Nothing to it. The sleep study that is. You sleep, but the next night, if you have SA they will put a CPAP on you..it will start off being a bit liek sticking your head out a window of a fast moving highway speed car! SO beware,,,stick it on and FORCE yourself to breath WITH it, NOT fight against it. But, It wouldn't have a problem if you did have problems wiht it.
ALSO, I didn't have a "well rested feelign" for a while, and still don't often feel that way! SO don't expect to wake up "refreshed, and ready to take on teh world," but KNOW you will BE rested...
just FYI
Have a restful night's sleep everybody!
Okay, so I do build a little bit. But it takes me two weeks instead of two nights to finish a kit like the Accurail one. Cement on one or two parts and I'm done.At least if it's something like apnea it can be treated.
Wish me luck. I'm doing a sleep study Monday night, my doc thinks I may have sleep apnea.
Actually I'm almost sure of it... I sleep 9 or 10 hours a night and I'm always tired. I don't even have energy to build car kits. Speaking of which I just finished an Accurail 40' gon. They are really nice kits. And thanks for the welcome. And the beer.
Evenin' cellar dwellers (or wherever your trains are....).
Janie, just a refill for the decaf please.
Got busy and didn't get a chance to post yet today. Nice to see some activity in here today. Hope it keeps up!
I have been busy collecting all the "Hazardouse Household Waste" around here to take to the collection at the landfill on my way out to the museum on saturday. It is a once a year event you have to sign up for and prove you are a resident in the county (show drivers license if they actually ask for it). So I have boxed up a couple large boxes of old electroinic equipment, several old Florescent tubes and a box of CFLs, some unuseable varnish and enamel paint, and batteries to fill the back of the PiP so I can wait in line when I get there. Then I will head directly out to the Museum to work crew for RG&E and Kodak Day. If you are interested in that, you can look up info about it here: http://rochestertrainrides.com/
Galaxy, nice little house in what looks to be a good neighborhood. Here in Geneva, it would like sell for a bit more than they are asking so it may be priced fair.... I have confidence that you two will find the perfect house soon!
Blackie has been throwing up tonight. He seems to act OK but he has left several piles for me.... I just gave him some hairball medicine. That may be the problem. He is now begging for more food... I think I shall make him wait until morning and give his tummy a rest. He has dry food in the dish anyway. Manét goes to the Vet tomorrow afternoon to see how his sugar is doing. Have yet to catch him peeing so I doubt I will be able to take a urine sample over.
Ken, yes it is a 55 gal. aquarium. I checked the measurements on line and it is an All Glass 55gal. old style tank. I went to the Tropical Fish Empoium in Auburn yesterday and bought a top for it. The old one is in parts around here somewhere but is beyond cleaning I think anyway. I told the lady who works there (she has worked there for 38 years) the measurments and she said, yep 55gal. most likely AGA. She disapeared for about 3 minutes up into the loft (the place is in an old barn) and reappeared with the top. She told me if it is not the right one, bring it back and they can get one made for it. It fits perfectly. I bought a bunch of live plants, some more stone, and 10 Zebra Danios to start with. Told the lady I want to have a South American Tank so I am starting with some South East Asian fish...... The Danios are very hardy and will help get the nitrogen cycle started. Probably the first of the week I will transfer my lonely little Clown Loach over to the big tank. Then I can dreak down and clean the 20 gal thoroughly and get that moved from my kitchen to the living room. I will then have everything done out there. That means I can give the rest of the house a good cleaning!
Still waiting for the plumber and the painter. Guess I will call the paving place and get an estimate on some driveway work. That should get all of them to show up!
Have a great night! Prayers for all in need.
Well, we looked at a cute little house. here:

Google earth it, it gives far better non-shade pics of it that are bright and show it better than the RE pic does.
It has a dry basement that is ripe for finishing, though it DOES have a sump pump. we'd have to get battery back up.
-G may not be ablet to do the stairs anyway, so....
There is a small 3 season coud be 4 season with heat added, room out behind the garage.

Im back momentarily. I hope I can post more often than as of late.
Ulrich: I can testify to your track planning skills. I hope people will take advantage of your generous offer to help.
Galaxy: hope that house hunt is going well.
Ken: All that and that's your day off?
Hi to YGW, John boy, Dennis, Richard, James, Garry, Angelo, Ray, and I'm sure I'm missing someone, probably several "someones."
I hope everyone is OK and safe.

Flo, Bayfeild and I will have a please.
Another busy day off! Spent a hour and half too 2 hours scanning and printing some medical bills for the state of ILL for Sue's SSI (which pays nothing) and food stamps. The program I have for the cannon MP 495 sucks rail spikes. While the scanning speed is OK the other Bull it wants to do makes it a long project.
I have drove over 120 miles in the 2 days I have been off, but was never more than 16 miles from my house? Just a quick recap.
Tuesday
1 My bank, to cash in some change. 2 miles.
2 Work, to pick up my paycheck 10 miles 20 round trip.
3 BoS to make house payment. 4 miles, 8 round trip.
4 Shop and Save for food. 4 miles round trip.
Wednesday
5 My bank again to depoist check and cash in more change. 2 miles.
6 Bob's shop to pay for new tire, across the street of the bank so does not count miles wise.
7 Sue's foot Dr for more stuff to mail to IL. 2 miles.
8 Library for some books I have requested. 2 miles.
9 Post Offices to mail the stuff to ILL IHS, 1 mile.
10 St Louis for smokes, 32 miles round trip.
11 Shop and Save again. Sue wanted something sweat besides Sparkie and I. 10 miles round trip.
Did find the time to cut the side yard, back yard, trim some tree limpes and BBQ.
John Boy I have not touched the retaning wall for 2 weeks now. Still on my mind, but now that I cannot afford to have my grass cut, kind of on the back burner.
Ray I guess you are sure it is a 55 gallon tank, but in the one photo it looks wider than my 55 gallon and 70 gallon tall tank. (70 gallon is just taller than the 55 gallon tank)
YGW Looking forward to speaking with you! Find out what postion your daughter falls a sleep in if she knows. 93% of people are side sleepers.

Hi Fellas,
Am I still in time for a late lunch? Chloe, I'll have my usual Double Denver with home fries, gravy on the side, and a double RBF. Please and thanks.
Garry,I bought a Vert-a-pack, ( IC. version ) when they came out a couple of years ago. Not that I can run it as it is really too big for my layout, but I thought they were neat and I wanted one for memory sake of my old Vega. They also shipped Ford Pintos in them as well.
You were asking about the distance to my Son's place. Billings is about 500 miles from here and his home is about 12 miles west of Billings.
In regard to the Dilation of my Esophagus, my feelings for quite some time now is that I do not think I will go back to it. I felt like it took about 5 years off my life, more so than the Cancer treatment, and I don't have that many more five year periods to give away. I have also proved that for the last year and a half I have kept myself alive, healthy and have actually gained some weight back. Before starting on the Cancer treatment i weighed 208 lbs. I went down and stabilized at 172 and then with this last fiasco I lost another 9 lbs., then down to 163. This morning I weigh in at 174.
A few months ago I sent you a PM. that I don't think you realized as it never got answered. It is still hanging there >>>>>
Dennis, Thanks for the history of your Vega experiences. I far as I am concered they were a fun little car, and for me very comfortable. The bucket seats were just right for me. A couple of times I drove it straight through to Salt Lake City and got out of it in far better shape that when we took the Buick Electra.
My Wife arrived home, with Sisters in tow, last evening around supper and is quite fatigued from the holiday and jet lag, but they sure had a wonderful time and were treated wonderfully on the various tours. Has lots of stories to tell and is only getting started.
Moon Boy, (James) heres to a safe drive home.... Glad you enjoyed the Canadian Hospitality. I envied you this year, I never got to wet a line.
Well, all for now Gang, will check back later.

Speaking of Vegas, how many of you are aware GM designed them so they could be shipped vertically from the factory in special railcars?
GM automotive engineers coordinated with railroad mechanical engineers so Vegas would be shipped nose down. Special consideration was needed regarding fluids in the engine and battery as well as gasoline in the tank.
This was done in order to ship more Vegas per railcar which kept the shipping costs down. GM was doing all it could to be competetive with Asian imports arriving on the West Coast.
The specialized railcar was called a Vert-A-Pac....
Uhlrich wrote " Other "oldtimers" just left without a word or even passed away." I had a friend who would visit. He did the odest thing. When he was ready to leave with out saying anything he would just get up and go. No good bys, see ya later - he would just leave. I wish more people if they planned to drop out would say good by.
Garry Thanks appreciate your words of encouregment
Johnboy - made me chuckle with "std time" yep its good to be back on std time : )
Ken - I will call tomorrow.
Won an N&W hopper yesterday on flea bay. less than $4 but shipping is $4.50 - go figure. And lost a bid on a bowser covered N&W hopper. went to $10 and stopped bidding.
Out here there is an auction house for farm animals. They have professional people who run the price up. Two friends of mine went to buy a pony for one of the guys daughter. They picked the pony out in advance and when the pony came up for auction my friend Richard excused himself and went and sat down to NEXT the "professional bidder" As soon as the one guy started bidding on the poney the pro started to raise his arm up to start running up the price. Richard told him "you raise that arm and I will break it " everyone couldnt get over how cheap that poney went for My friend Richard is something else. I could tell stories about him for hours. Remind me sometime to tell you about him and our deck building expierence.

I never owned a Vega (a buddy of mine did) but I did own a '67 Dodge Dart with a 318 under the hood. It was pretty much my first car. I did have to fix the heater before my wife agreed to marry me.
Good Morning
Well we are just back from the last 'birding and breakfast' and a nearby wildlife sanctuary. Had a very nice morning with mild temperatures for this time of year.
Amazing how many forum members owned Vegas. I had one too. Mine was a '71 with the high output engine and a 4 speed. I only had it 2 years but it was on its way to self destruct. After only 24k miles it was starting to burn oil and rust. I traded it on a new '73 Nova coupe with a 350. It was a nice car but terrible on gas. The best highway mileage it got was 15 mpg. Other than that it was a nice car.
Well time for something, I guess. Maybe I'll have a coffee and think about what that might be.
I agree about the MIA's but they have moved on so I suppose there isn't much use in worrying about what became of them.
Talk to you soon,
CN Charlie
