Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll have a pot of Marrakesh Express Dark Roast Coffee to keep my R&GV RR Mug filled and a couple sour cream Glazed donuts.....  Oh, The're gone already?  The powdered sugared ones will do nicely then.

Brother Elias, I have been enjoying your photographs.  I see the lion checking out the ladies there...  Is that allowed?

Galaxy, sounds like you folks had a good weekend.  I kinda thought you had mentioned that you would be busy.

Location and host for the NMRA Fall meet fell through for this one, so now I am trying to find a good location and program for it.  Have a couple possibilities to look into.

Lots of stuff I need to get done, so I will catch you all later.

Good morning diners,

It's the first of the month!

I was going write a few days ago but I got worried doing it. The past weekend I went on a small 2 day vacation to New Mexico and back doing some railfanning. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera on me until the return trip, but I missed a pair of UP SD70ACe with NS locomotive pulling a fast intermodal freight.

While watching Union Pacific trains I got energized again about the hobby. Mostly it went downhill; a bit on just focusing on buying freight cars.

'bright fall colors' Ulrich? Don't start pushing it! 25 more days until my B-day, then i will agree, after the first day of Fall, that there should be "pretty fall colors" other than green!

I have been busy this weekend...1st saturday was a BIG Shindig for special close friends...known as family.

Then SUnday we took in a couple of houses.nothing yet.

yesteraday was sa vet day, a thyroid issue, maybe and NOT  a 'put to sleep' issue ike moh feared. and a cleanup day as MOh made two-one alcohol nad one non alcohol  Black Forrest cakes for the shindig! so there was clean up in isle 16.

so, i was busy,

make it a great day....

Geeked

Oh, hte train trip is next saturday...from Steamtown to Deleware water gap...

Good Morning!

Thought I´d open up the September Diner, as our G-Man seems to be on the road and not available for this service. I am not sure, but I have a faint memory he mentioned a trip some time ago he and his OH planned on taking at the end of August.

My ear is improving slightly, but still bugging me. Li´l Whistler is still blowing his whistle, and there is still a feeling of pressure in it, but the pain is nearly gone now. Two more days until I can see that specialist about it.

I couldn´t help but fiddling around with that plan once more - always in search of excellence Stick out tongue

The track plan:

... and some 3D views:

... and some detail shots:

... and a shot of the prototype location:

I wish I could change the colors of the scenery and the trees. I´d like to see it in those bright Fall colors!

up831 - I like designing small layouts, but I do have an issue with room-filling behemoths. It´s somewhat a hobby within the hobby for me, especially these days, as I cannot do any "serious" MRRing.

Enjoy the day!

Welcome aboard Jeffrey´s Trackside Diner for the month of September 2015!

This is your informal place to meet with friends, share your day, talk on topic and off topic, but always within the rules of the forum policy.

Jeffrey´s Trackside Diner was formerly Elliot´s Trackside Diner, but was renamed to honor our friend Jeffrey "Running Bear" Wimberly, who passed away in December 2014. Jeffrey was an outstanding personality, a gifted and creative model railroader and a true friend.

We miss him very much!

Jeffrey´s Trackside Diner is open to anyone  and Cousin Vinnie, the proprietor and the staff - that´s Janie, the twins Chloe and Zoe, Flo and Brunhilda - are always happy to welcome new guest.
