Evenin' folks!

Bbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  'tis now 0°F outside.  Just got home from the Sunday Dinner at my son's house.  I told his MIL and wife when i left I was not sure which was better the great food (Roast Beast Dinner) or the company!  The 2 granddaughters were alternately being cute as can be and little brats....  Normal for the age.  Got great big hugs from bother of them as I left.  Oh Flo, I need a hot cup of decaf!!!  Yes a very hot cup of decaf please!  What yes I'll be trying to warm up by the stove in the back.....

I am lucky the little Yaris warms up quickly.  Nice to have some heat in the car this time of year.  The truck would have just started getting warm about the time I pulled in the driveway.

Galaxy, I know the type.  My mom wasn't one to hold past kindness over anyone's head, but my Dad used to talk about her "Organ Recital"  (Family of musicians remember).  Her favorite one was, "Oh, the PAIN!!!!"  "You don't know what it is like........  Oh, ooooooooohhhhhhhh!"  She was in pain!  She also made sure everyone around her was as well.  People learned not to ask, "How are you today?" in her presence.............Whistling

Todd???  Missed "Pie Night?"  "Oh the PAIN!!!!"  I would assume that you also have the chance to go through and take whatever you desire from the estate?  I would think that every time you have to put off having sister dear come over for her share, you should get a bit more for your trouble!  Soon the house will be cleaned out......

[edit]  Well......!  Some kid got in ahead of me so I have the top honors..... ('s OK Packer1)  Order up!  It will be put on my already large tab.

Welp!  I have to go feed the wood stove.....  Want to keep the gas use to a minimum.

Later!

 Evening Folks!

Flo, Big Boy Sub and a Beer please.

Still feeling a little Ick! but I sure have felt worst. Just cranked the heat up because I was feeling chilly. Work is not very warm either, have goose bumps most of the time.

Work Front.  JR While I hate to say it, the company I am working for is having growing pains. In other words no one knows what the heck what we are being told if anything. Heck, I received all most no computer training and what I did receive was form a person that has been there 5 days longer than me. While it not a hard program, there are certain things like looking up open sales tickets, old tickets and such I was not shown. With help on the phone, I am getting a handle on things.

Other Problem I have 2 Bosses Berry the owner and Ben the sales manager.

Ben gave me a guide line on what to sell factory seconds for. Lets say it is a Sealy, they want a 60% margin. So if it cost us $200 I can sell it for $520.00 but I should start at $799.99 which is still a decent prices. But then, Ben told me NO ONE WALK'S. (In other words make the sale)

Berry on the other hand looks at his profit only. I sold a Sealy all Latex bed for $1000.00 to get the deal, cost was $545 so Berry made only $455.00 where he should have made $755.00. So Berry was in my Caboose a little. I will add it was the only customer I had all day!

So Ben says no one walks and get the deal and Berry only looks at what I should have sold it for? What do you do?

They are adverting Sealy Reserve Mattress on are web site and did not tell us at the meeting?

Luck of the draw! I swear when I work with Chad, I get everyone one of the $300.00 mattress set customer that come in the door! Yesterday I was stuck on the phone trying to get the new check machine working. I was stuck on the phone when what would have been my UP came in. Chad took them and two his credit he split the sale with me. It was a easy sale and if I was not on the phone I would have got credit for $950 and not $425.00. Next he had two Be Back Customers for another $1500.00. Chad $1925.00 Cuda Ken $425.00.

I had my first customer at 3:45, $300.00 queen set, while I was taking care of him, Chad had a $900.00 sale, I had the finally sale, yet another $300 queen set?

Chad $2825.00 and Cuda Ken $1025.00. Sure make me look like Caboose does it not?

Today on the other hand I worked Solo. Had 2 customers and closed both deals for $2600 total. Sale I am the most proud of (to bad Berry or Ben did not see it) took a $200.000 twin set deal and turned it into a Full and King Mattress set deal for $1400.00!

Pay Rate Last week they over paid me, being a honest person I told them. This week the under paid me by $120.00? They did fix it on the spot, so I will give them credit for that!

Up side to the mess you ask? They are opening 2 new stores this month. Berry has his eye on 2 more locations In these hard times they are growing. After I get a handle on how they want things done and Excel, there room to grow career wise! I spent most of my life in middle management and was very good at it.

Spiffs Need to find out how to get paid for them (spiff is a extra bounces for selling something). Sealy owes me $125.00 so far. Again a example lack of training.

Have to wonder if anyone is going to read this? Smile

Feeling better about work again, Cuda Ken

Green Bay in the Super Bowl? That is one game I will have to watch!

G -- I do not know much about your FIL except from what I see here but I really do not want to get to know him if he is as bad as you say. I have a relative who is the same way.

Running Bear -- Good job on the FEC car so far. I cannot wait to see the other ones you did.

GMT -- I am only 17 and do not have much expereince with building layouts but I found out a while back that it helps a lot if the room finished. Not so much dust. A good friend told me that.

Ulrich -- Nice loco! I wish I could afford something like that. I might be able too if my mom and dad get their business going good. Right now I have only a little stuff. Just an rs3 and gp35 and a few cars. I hope to get more this summer.

Cudaken -- I hope the job works out for you. I do not know myself how it is going from job to job as I am still on my first one but it is the story of my familys life as my dad has been moving all around the country looking for jobs.

Todd -- Your sister makes me think of one of my aunts. She is the same way just about. She is not happy unless she can make every body around her misireble.

Nuff for now. CUL8R.

Well Good Evening Gang!

Well I actually got some work done on the MESS today! Yes a bridge that has haunted me for the past 3 years is nearing completion. Though a "Curve Ball" has been thrown! Yes the latest addition swings wide under the bridge and wants to take out the wall. the A-1 really likes to swing the hip and the wall had to be replaced. More on that later.

Todd: If it wasn't for my MiL helping me I'm sure I would still have a lot of Dad's stuff (over 3 years later). Most of it went to the Sally Ann and other charitable organizations. If possible have someone help you it will make it so much easier.

Der John: Yes it nice to see Dick back haven't heard from him in months. Yes the extra staging will be 4" wide and along the wall across from the TT and Roundhouse. 3 levels of "mini dioramas"

Well Gents have a good Night

I used to be a sports fan, but I have lost interest over the years becasue the pros make way too much money. So, I no longer pay attention to them.

On the way to church today a bobcat ran in front of the car and nearly became road kill. Deer are a common problem here but bobcats don't usually run in front of cars.

JR ... You mentioned junk yards are very messy. My photo is a work in progress. I've added two more old junk vehicles to the scene and I have two others on the work table getting the "treatment". ... The scrap yard is proving to be a very time consuming project.

Has anyone seen JimCG. ?   ... He usually sneaks in the side door. Is it locked?

Cheers!

Good Morning Folks,

I am up since 4 am - that bug I have caught keeps me from sleeping!

Janie - coffee in an IV bag, please.

Seems as if we can get that round-robin group of "Japanese" model railroaders in Germany off the ground. It´d be nice to have someone to share my rather exotic interest with. There is a little forum, but with about a dozen active members, it is of the most active one. The guys in there are not really a talkative bunch, unlike here Laugh

I have finalized my plans for my modular desktop-layout, now I have to find a sponsor for the Kato Unitrack. There are only three sources for it in Germany and their prices are just crazy 40 bucks for a switch, which sell for $ 27.50 in the US! If I add shipping and customs duty to it, I end up at $ 40 again, so buying in the US is no option Sad

Need to go to see the social security people today to renew our "application of funding". It is one of those "draw a number and wait until it is called" things, which means I probably have to wait for years. I´ll try to be there when they open, just to be the first "customer" of the day!

Have a good one!

PS - has anyone seen Jerry, Jim, Keith, Tom and all other MIA´s?

Evening all.  Just stopping in for a nightly RBF.  Did peek in the window last night but didn't really have a chance to stop by.

Not a whole lot happening today, it was my one Sunday that I have to w*rk (only good thing about having a total of 4 managers at the store, we all take one Sunday).  It was a 12 hour day, but a good 12 hour day.  Got a whole lot accomplished which always helps.  Going to be off tomorrow although it appears I will be doing my other job as I have a friend of the family with a Nissan Quest that has a starter that hs decided to no longer like where it is.  Guess I'll get up in the morning and get it swapped out, then who knows, might goof off and see if I can get the battery in the bike all charged up as it supposed to be (kinda went dead with all the cold weather and lack of riding it recently).  If not, I might go and enjoy some time in the woods as the rut has come into full swing.  The house is quiet as we speak due to the rest of the family being all tucked into their beds warmly and safely so I guess I should go and do the same.

Later taters!

Decaf coffee, please.

***Ulrich, have been wondering about Jerry lately as well. Just shot an e-mail off to him which was returned as undeliverable. Hope he's OK.

Did some more work on the wife's (HO) layout tonight. Gradually getting the remaining white spots of the main layout "sceniced". Re-installed new lamp lights for the hospital entryway, too.

Healing thoughts to those in need!

Cheers, Cowboy Rob

Good Morning,

I’m a little behind posts….

Its -10 degrees outside this morning, with a 70% chance of more snow. Friday my train order arrived at the LHS in Willoughby.  2 RIX flat top storage tanks for the Sugar refinery and 2 elevated tanks for the Dairy.  I drove to Macomb TWP, Michigan Saturday (6 hour round trip) to see my kids and visit the LHS.  I picked up 3 Detroit – Toledo Short line, 2-bay covered hoppers and 2 DMIR 2-bay covered hoppers.  They had the Atlas transformer 2-pack for $19 so I picked that kit up to go with my Atlas sub-station.  Sunday Dorothy and I adjusted the one turnout I was having problems with last Wednesday on the layout.

Garry I use to use the 2x6 method until I got a nice set of ramps from my Father and his sisters.  I would remove the tailgate and hook the 2x6’s onto the bumper with a gusset like strap.  When my Aunt couldn’t shovel her drive I started snow blowing it for her.  Her sisters and my Dad saw my ramp system and bought me a set of 750 pound aluminum ramps.

Brakie – My layout has 3 mains for running trains, but the new addition in the old canning kitchen will be 100% switching layout.

Rob – did you buy that centerline car?

Ulrich, congratulations on your steam locomotive.  Good luck with the TV station job.  Prayers for your Mom, just a year ago I had to help clean out my grandmother’s place, what a chore that was.

Good COOOOOOOOLD morning to you all. depending on which local town's temp you look at it is -15 to -7.

Woke up to everything FROZEN. Frozen water pipes in whole trailer {we forgot to run water on dribble last night} DURN it! even the furnace thermostat is frozen and won't let me go above 70* {may have to do with the preset at 65* overnight until 10AM when it goes up to preset 67*,  that it will only allow a 6* override.} AND the thermostat may have to be replaced. If it is set at 65* sometiems you have to lower the override temp to say 55* to get teh induced draft motor to kick on to fire up. That is just plain wrong. It is 70 in here now,

But I wanted 75-80* to help{?} thaw the PEX flexible plumbing pipes that are "guaranteed nto to leak if the freeze as they will just expand". ALso running the dryer as the outlet is under the tube area where the water comes in, We had a new heat tape put in about 6 years ago, but I question if it is working. Will let MOH crawl under trailer to see if light on.

It is getting harder and harder to find plumbers who will go under trailers to work. There are house around here on slabs {jackhammer it open} and on crawl spaces with less that the 3.5 feet we have under there so whatt eh big deal? they will work on those, just cause they are "houses" but not ours???? our money just as good! Or rather my CC is just as good.{unfortunately} There is an agency in our county {there are a lot of trailers} who wil send out workers who will work undertrailers I found out form a Senior neighbor who gets all kinds of services. I don't know if poor and on disability will help, but can;t hurt to try. I shall call her at 9 AM for mroe information.

Will give MOH a light day as MOH can tell FIL to blow it out his snozolla as we ahve to baby sit pipes.

I did put one small space heater under the bath sink and a finned oil filled heater under the kit sink {at opposite ends of the trailer of course.

DAng it! I had one fleeting thought last night of "we should drip the water tonight" and it went straight out of my head!

Well you see what I wil be doing today. Bummer. Lucky it gets up to 32* tomorrow maybe by TEHN we wil ahve thawed pipes. until only #1 inteh toilet, #2 in the camper-toilet hangy-baggy thingy and throw in trash., No showers....sponge baths out of a bottle- like living inthe 1800's!!!

Well. Iam having a crappy day so I hope you al have a crappy day as well to commiserate with me Ick!Huh?Super AngryCryingNoSigh

Good "VERY" cold morning.  Its currently 5 degrees, and the windchill is - 4.    Maybe some snow later today.

What a game last night, and another trip to the Super Bowl.   The next two weeks will be wild up here.   Newspaper, tv, etc....

My plan today.  Go buy a few things from Wal-Mart, the post office, and a few other places.  I have a hopper that needs done, and maybe I can finish that today.

Galaxy..............Sucks about your pipes.   It sucks more that its hard to find someone to do the work.  That's the same problem we had to find a roofer.   We have a two story house, and they thought it was to steep/high............."That's your job no matter what the height is Angry".   I also understand the pipes freezing.  We don't have heat up stairs and when we first bought the house we had a few busted pipes.   Right now its 63 downstairs and about 55 up stairs.

Well I will pop back in later.

Good Morning! Coffee and Eggs Benedict please. Thank you.

Good news, I guess. As of last night, they took the snow out of the forecast for the week. Though we did get a light dusting last night as predicted. Remember new snowblower in garage?

Aaahhh where do I begin. Today I must do odds and ends all day. Too many to list and most are not exciting nor interesting at all.

Ray- Actually Brenda and myself are the last to pick. See, she set up a shopping line so to speak. So and so first gets to pick anything and everything they want, then so and so does the same and so on until Brenda and I are last. You may say, “gee, you took care of her all this time and have been doing thismoving thing etc etc and you are last?” Well, not exactly. Through the last few years of moving, my Mother has had a good time with my wife going through all the junk. Believe you me not a smile or a twinkle in the eye was missed by Mom and she would give it to Brenda. Many things of course we didn’t take, but if it was something heirloomish or had some Momthought valule(yes Momthought is one word. Means “something Mom thought was, in this case, valuable whether it is…. Or in most cases, is not). Her reasoning was she wanted us to have it because…., we would/could use it or…., we would take care of it or….., she didn‘t want anyone else to end up with it for any number of Momreasons. So, like I said between all that and the can I have's, and the take it now so I know you have it's, believe me, we have plenty. Pretty much everything we want already. So I guess actually, we had first pick.

G- Sorry about the pipes.

Welp, guess I best get a movin. Maybe if I’m lucky I’ll get some OSB cut today. One can always hope.

Y’all have a Great Day now ya hear?!!!

Good morning. It's 49° and cloudy. The high should be 56° and there's a 60% chance of rain.

Have an appointment with the foot doc this morning. Otherwise no plans. I will soon start on a project to turn this car:

Into a MoW dry goods storage car.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll start with a cup of very hot dark raost coffee in a FGLK mug, then a bowl of hot Cream of Wheat with raisins and Brown Sugar to continue warming me up.

Currently a pleasant -4°F outside the door.  On its way up to around 16°F from -9°F just a couple hours ago.  Wood stove has already been lit this morning.

Galaxy, sounds like you folks are having a bad day already....  Frozen pipes are sooooooo much fun to deal with.  Don't ask me how I know...  Huh?  Well, OK.....  Our first home after I got married was an 8' x 36' Mobile Home/Manufactured Home, aka: trailer.  Only had the pipe coming from the ground into the thing freeze up a couple of times.  Added some seriously bigger insulation around the heater tape on it and stopped THAT from happening.  We got a couple spells of -20° the first winter in it and the pipes froze inside the trailer.  The pipes ran along the floor of the small bedroom.  They froze solid, then broke when we got them melted.  On a weekend, of course.  My FIL was a plumber by trade. Wife called him and pleaded.  He came looked at the mess and immediately started swearing...  he was there about 4 hours and put in some new-fanged plastic pipe that could take getting frozen and not break.  Swearing at the top of his lungs the whole time about %(*$%*  ^&^%%  ^&&^** TRAILERS!  The last Manufactured Home/Mobile Home/ trailer we owned was a 14' x 75' with a 10' x 21' slide out addition to the living room.  It was a very comfortable home.  The first winter in it we had one of those -20° weeks and the pipes did not freeze.  However, at every stud going down the main hallway, there was frost on the wall where they had skimped on the insulation.  I don't envy you having to deal with the water problem!  Good Luck!

Jeffrey, hope the Doctor Appt. goes well.

Mornin' Fergie!

I am going to mosey on down to the main office of the FGLK this morning to see about an ID that may allow me to get a bit closer to trackside on the FGLK for getting some photos this week.  I presume they will want me to sign my life away..........  Hopefully I will get schedule of when and where trains are running.

Later!

Good Morning All!

Not much to report from the land of Buckeyes on another cold and snowy morning other then I worked on my HO test track yesterday and finally installed end of track stoppers.I used some foam from a old Athearn BB locomotive box and a box nail.I can breath a lot easier now whenever I decide to "test" run my HO locomotives.I also cleaned it with a bright boy followed by 91% alcohol. No big plans for today.

I shall have a cup and look over the forum.

Anyone know if it could be used for a flywheel puller?
My guess would be if the arms can engage the flywheel it should work. So long as there is space between the motor end of the flywheel and the motor itself for the gripper arms to fit; and the arms open wide enough to go over the flywheel, all should be well - he said, never having used either a wheel or gear puller, and therefore an expert in both!Whistling

Glad the work computer stuff is coming together for you.Thumbs Up I guess you're going to have to monitor the store web site if they don't tell the floor staff what the specials are !! Sweet on the $200<$1400 upgrade!Bow

David:

but I found out a while back that it helps a lot if the room finished. Not so much dust. A good friend told me that.
...and if the whole room can't be finished, at least having the ceiling done is a huge help, not only for dust, but also for light reflection onto the layout.  Reminder please, what's your scale again?Confused

Fergie:

Der John: Yes it nice to see Dick back haven't heard from him in months. Yes the extra staging will be 4" wide and along the wall across from the TT and Roundhouse. 3 levels of "mini dioramas"
...how are they connected? I'm trying to picture that. Mini-dioramas - you're going to scenic the shelves? I don't have staging as such, so I'm now storing stock in the top drawer of a storage tower near my fiddle yard. Trains are supposed to exit the layout onto that yard; then I can store them until a new train is needed. I'm trying not to use my freight yard for storage (but it looks a bit odd with none of the clutter I'm used to!)

Garry:

Has anyone seen JimCG. ?   ... He usually sneaks in the side door. Is it locked?
...the side door is open, as that's how I normally come in. (aka bookmark the page and come straight here!)...I guess he's up to "there" with clients. IIRC, he gets to be "on call" for a number of days at a time, and that can get pretty busy.

Galaxy: Rotten luck on the freeze up and thermostat woes. Being on oil (when the woodstove doesn't keep things toasty, like last night) we can't get a programmable thermostat - at least I haven't come across one here.

We had a new heat tape put in about 6 years ago, but I question if it is working.
- last one we had came with a power monitor light. That's handy. We generally only have to drip my MIL's kitchen sink pipes when it's really cold with an east wind. Cold last night, but not an east wind.  Downstairs right now is at about 68-70, and here in the train room it's 58 (I've got my feet tucked in an old bed-spread!)

Jeff: What colour is the MOW storage car going to be? The work car is maroon, are you keeping to that, or have a change? Nice conversion BTW.

Or maybe not. Those claws are sharp!
, and I don't think they a can sheath them either!

Time to get other projects seen to. At least the track is clean again, and trains can run again.

TTFN.....and a Whisky Mac for Ulrich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whisky_Mac )as well please Chloe.

Good Afternoon, Folks!

I left home early this morning to be on time with the social security folks to renew our allowance for the next 6 months. I was there when they opened at 7.45 am and was out again by 8.00 am - a miracle! Must have caught a good day with them!

Janie - a strong coffee, one of those eye openers, please. Or should I go for a Whiskey Mac, as John suggested? Sounds like strong stuff!

John - I like the loco a lot, but I have yet to get used to how small it is. I think I have to build some contraption to raise my modular desktop layout closer to eye level to enjoy all the detail it has.

Jeff - Thumbs Up for the squirrel massage. Showed the pic to Petra and told her what I would like to get tonight - spare me her answer!

I am still searching for a cheap source for that Unitrack tracks I need to get started, but no luck so far - seems as if the price level is "level" throughout the world. UK had been a good source for Peco track, 40 % below the price level of Germany, but Kato track is just about the same level as in Germany. I´´ keep on searching...

Primer gray, same as the work caboose.

 Lunch.....Well a light snack then.  I didn't know it was almost 2:00.

Finished up around town and also finished up a hopper.  It was a FMC hopper (with the bright red letters FMC).  That was patched over, and just a touch of grime was added.

With all of the snow on the ground I don't wanna dig out my picture taking area.  Plus with more snow coming, I couldn't get any good outside shots with the snow falling.    Now I will have to make something in the basement for picture taking until it warms up.  These shots didn't come out to bad, but they could've been better.

Afternoon folks!

Zoe, I'll have the hot Turkey Sandwich, side order of Onion Rings, and  large Dr. Pepper.

Went down to the FGLK Office this morning to sign for permission to do some railfanning along the FGLK.  The lady at the front desk was most helpful.  Wanted to know who i spoke with on the phone last Thursday....  I told her i had no idea but was told I needed to come down and sign some paperwork.  She asked for some ID, I gave her my Drivers License.  Filled out the visitors form saying I held them Safe Harmless in case the train jumps the tracks and runs me down.  She gives me the "Official Definition" of what I can and can't do, which goes something like, "YoucannotatanytimebeonneararoundanypropertyownedleasedorpartoftheFGLK donotclimbonorboardanyequipmentonornearthetracksdonotstandbetweenanyrailsatanytime
andyouhavetostayoffourpropertyatalltimes"

I explained THAT I have passed the Museum's Rules Class, work train crew, and know enough not to be in the wrong place around RR equipment.

So I ask what this gives me permission to do?  She says you can take photos from Public Property.  I stare at her and say, My dear, you do know that it is perfectly legal for anyone to take photos of anything as long as they are on Public Property."  She grins and shrugs her shoulders.  I then ask about what time trains would be running through Himrod where I want to take the photos....  "Oh, I'm not allowed to divulge that information......"  I tell her, I'll just have to stop over to the hobby shop and ask what time trains go past.  She grins and nods her head yes......  You gotta love it.  Now I could go buy a scanner set to their channel (Radio Shack has them) and just wait until they give the train permission to move South......  She did confirm that they run on that line Tuesday - Thursday.  Of course, it says THAT on their system map.......Whistling

Basically all the signed "Guest" form does is give me something to show the Dept. of Homeland Insecurity and the local donut eaters I have gone through proper channels and have permission to use a camera on public property.  I have to carry it on me at all times I am taking photos of their trains! WinkWhistling

I did happen to see a 3 engine consist pulling a half a dozen cars going East out of Geneva on their way to the Solvay, NY interchange.  So I headed out THAT way and did a few photos.  I stayed completely legal and of the ROW and had the signed form in my pocket the whole time...............  Here are a few shots I got.

Got the usual wave from the Engineer.....

Later!

Sign a form to take photos of the trains while you're on public property? That's a load of bull cookies! If you're on public property they can't stop you from taking photos of anything. It against the law. Even the Dept of Homeland Insecurity and Rules Made Up on the Spot can't tell you that. Here's a downloadable flyer of The Photographer's Right that I keep on file at my forum.

Hey Jeffrey....  don't need to get at your forum...  I have right here on my computer.  Been there for several years.  LOL!  I did tell her that, she just grinned as if to say, "Yep I know" and then rolled her eyes.  I will have a copy of that document with me as well.  The document I got from her does allow that if I stray onto their property, I would just be told to leave with no trespassing charges.  It basically lets them know I will be around and that even though I have a beard, I am not one of them terrorist types......Whistling  The Finger Lakes is actually very public friendly, but they do have to go through the same Bull as all the rest of the railroads today.  If I was near the ROW and most of their crews saw me, they would most likely wave and yell, "Hi Ray!"

Ray - I stopped at the office a couple of times when we were on our annual wine run. I was interested in just walking back through the lot and taking some photos at the rear of the shop. The ladies in the office were always very nice, and after signing the same form you probably did, I was permitted to do so. Usually somebody working back there would say hi and ask if I had any questions. I always appreciated them allowing me to do that. It doesn't happen at any of the class 1's or short lines around here. When I am lucky enough (3 times to be honest) to catch them heading north out of Watkins Glen, I've always got a toot and a wave. Bottom line, nice folks.

I don't want o spread undue alarm folks, but there's only 11 months to Christmas!

Ulrich:

Janie - a strong coffee, one of those eye openers, please. Or should I go for a Whiskey Mac, as John suggested? Sounds like strong stuff!
...as strong as you want it to be! The chief ingredient however should be Whisky rather than Whiskey, if for no other reason than the inventor was a Scot! (Col. MacDonald somewhere in India during the Raj) Green Ginger Wine is the other ingredient, mix to taste! (A weaker but warmer version adds hot water)LOL

Jeff: I must have missed the photo of the grey primer finish on the work car, the last I saw was maroon. (I did miss a few pages)The grey is what I was expecting, which left me wondering about the maroon.LOL

Robby: Remarkable restraint on that covered hopper! Looks great.

Ray:

Got the usual wave from the Engineer.....
Oooooooh, he was allowed to divulge he was in the train!Clown

Getting on to dinner time, and a decision about walking or the treadmill. From the sound of the wind out there it's probably not too difficult ......Whistling

TTFN.

Afternoon guys

So like Mine (and Sawyer's) Packers are gonna be playing the Steelers. This ought to be a good superbowl.

Still waiting at college for my 6pm class to start. Who had the motto "first in and last out"? Kind of that way with my schedule. Got in at 8am, don't leave till 9pm.Zzz

Well the misfiring keeps coming and going. Again around 1700-2200 rpms. Gonna try re-gapping the spark plugs to .042, maybe a new distributor cap and rotor. (already have an MSD cap, so it might be just the rotor)

Jeff, what happened to the squirrels' tails?

well best get back to work.

Vincent

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
