hey guys
well getting back to my MARX engine it's been in it's box for who knows how long but I'll try cleaning it anyways or the motor could be gone. and any one know how to build a HO scale engine from scratch. not from a kit as in from nothing to some thing I have plenty of motors that are like the one is my Santa Fe 0-4-0. and plastic HO scale wheels and trucks for the leading wheels, but the body and cover is what I would like to know how to make from everyday stuff including wood,
and my neighbor had one of their trees cut down due to safety reasons and are thinking of putting in some thing to fill the space. I told them about G scale trains.
that's all for now..
have a good one

Good morning, and now I’ll have some corned beef hash with two eggs sunny side up, and some buttered whole wheat toast, of course some of that fresh brewed coffee and fresh squeezed OJ from Ed’s private vintage.
I spent about three hours in the train room last night plotting out the next sections and making sub-roadbed adjustments for the next phase of cork roadbed.
Paul, Bob told me about how you operate similar equipment, propane sounds like a cleaner way to go, but there is no real substitute for the coal fired steam loco.
PC, thanks for the Mexican lunch, any left for today? Yep, it sure beats the brown bag lunch! BTW, can I grill my steak later on those flames at the bottom of your post?
Luct, that’s a nice chat noir (black cat in French) you got there! Thanks again for the fresh pot of brew…
Inch, I was wondering how you got that close up shot of the loco so quick like. We really did have a great time at the meet on Saturday, and it was really special getting to meet with Bob and having the tour and all. Just wished it wasn’t all wet and raining. Cold front is heading our way too. Weather channel said it was a Polar Express, might snow in the Dakotas today…
Bob (Duke) hope you made it back home safely yesterday! I bet Sunday was drier for the tracks and the cushion seats too! Thanks again for the great “Grand Tour” on Saturday, we had a blast!
Cheers,
Ryan

Morning Gang: I'll have the breakfast speical and coffee, please Cloe.
Ryan: Running live steam is better in the cold. You can keep your hands warm and the condensing steam looks real neat. Now the rain is something else. That's one reason I like coal. You can turn the draft down or off and get in the dry with coal and the fire will still be there and steam will still be up in say half an hour. With propane the fire will go out or the safety will go off because you can't get the fire to burn real low. It just don't work.
I'd better get back to work. I just came into the office to check my blood sugar. It was up again this morning before breakfast. Now 2 hours later it is down.
I'll see you all later.
Morning everyone!
Had some Hot Cocoa this morning! Been a long time since I've had that. Sure was good!
Hi Chloe! How's it going? That's good. I hear you've got some mighty good pancakes back there. Can I get some of those please? Thanks!
Inch, I'm glad you enjoyed Mortamer, or to be more exact, his lower extremities. He's been working on them a long time. Too bad about the banjo though. He was a mean picker!
Ryan, those flames are eye catching, aren't they? I can spot my posts a mile away! I'll be cooking my own lunch on them later, so I'll meet you here at the grill, OK?
BTW, what's up with the weather? 62 degrees here right now and they're calling for possible flurries tomorrow! I'm not down with that!
Morning all
I got back last night about 5:15 and had a good trip and it was nice to meet Ryan and his wife Monique(hope I spelled her name right) and put a face with the words you see here in the CS. Glad you had a good time.
to any newbies I have missed since I have been gone and you have found a good place.
This is for all of you that model Nearly Invisible. I know a person that has an estate sale with Loco’s,rolling stock, buildings, scenery materials,as well as figures. If you are interested, send me an Email and I can tell you how to get in touch with him.
I will have some pics in the next couple days after I get them loaded in the puter and get caught up around home.
Best to all on sick call and those recovering
Well that’s about it and time to catch up on the novel that has been written while I was gone.
Talk to you later

It's a sunny day in Apache Junction Arizona with temps dropping under 100 finally. Too cold to swim now but almost cool enough for hiking in the low deserts as long as you don't run into a T-rex along the way!

I don't get what you're talking about, but do we really need to keep dredging up the lower points of the past? Reposting that over and over is as uncool as when it was posted the first time. It's just not appropriate, period.
Hello all, just checking in. My modem is still down and I'm about to skin somebody at SometimesLink (SuddenLink) if they don't get me a replacement, pronto.
I'll be back on when I can.

Happyjack: I'll second what PC said. I'd just as soon forget that stuff. We do have young ones here and women.
Jeff: Hope that modm gets fixed soon.
Perry: Welcome to the coffee shop. That's a very impressive layout you have there. I really like the underside the way you have hidden it. That's three rail. Very nice. Wait until RT sees it.
Fall is offically here. I lit the pilot light on the furnace tonight. The thing still works and didn't blow me into orbit.
Tomorrow I go to the VA doctor for my 6 month check-up. I'll let you all know what comes out of it. I'm not expecting anything speical.
Good Night All
Evening all, coffee Cleo, it's cold out tonight
Tad chilly outside, cold N.NW. wind from Canada, be even colder tomorrow night tho. OH well that time of year I guess. Mother at a fair board meeting this evening, so got a quiet house for awhile
Didn't get much train time today, kept finding things that needed done before the cold got here.
Chris ,,, no problem with giving the weather report, glad you could use some of it.
RT,,,, know your most likely gone, but our thoughts be you an yours, hang in there buddy.
PC,,, think I shoulda stopped in for lunch from the looks of it. Hey Cleo, can I get a double order of what ever PC's cooking on the grill to go.
Steve ,,,, good looking engine there.
Perry1060,,, welcome to the CS, don't believe I've seen ya round before. Please tell us a bit bout yourself. Nice looking layout pics you posted also.
Best get going, get a shower n ready fur beds, see ya'll tomorrow
Howdy y'all. I'm just checking in. I don't have much time; and I'm really tired...I had to do homework after Sears on Monday and Tuesday and have built up a few hours of sleep debt...I need to make it up, so I need to go to bed earlier. I'll be checking in as much as possible.
Good news though...And I can't remember if I have said this or not...But on October 20th, I'm heading up to York, PA to go to the TCA Train Show! Tom, the repair guy at Purkeys Toy Trains, is a member, and has invited me along. And it just so happens that I don't have school that day. The stars lined up for me this year...I've been trying to get to the TCA show for a few years now.
And, a new drawing/story of mine is featured on Sam Berliner, III's website of Berlinerwerke Apocrypha. I really went out on a limb on this one.
Check it out here --> http://home.att.net/~Berliner-Ultrasonics/bwrkapg3.html
Talk to y'all later
