BTW, Perry, I meant to tell you I liked the layout. I got a little sidetracked about then though. I like the way you carried the theme onto the table sides. Looks like a real high quality piece of furnature.
Lisa, glad you could make it back in. Sorry to hear of all the stuff thats been keeping you away. I'll be praying for you and your's.
Thanks,
Yes, the cabins and other wooden structures are scratch built by me. Here's a link that takes you to a easy how-to article I did on a ctt forum in case you would like to check it out. One of my cabins has a chimney that actually smokes for some nice winter shots at some point in the future. I just finished it a few weeks ago but have not set the scene yet.
Link to the how-to article that's fun to read.

Good stuff Perry!
Angel, Ephesians 4:2, Colossians 3:13. It's really tough, isn't it?

Good Morning All,
I'll have a regular and the doughnut with sprinkles in Bills tray looks too good to pass up.
Perry - The structures look fantastic - that's a well thought out layout you have - nice work.
Lisap - welcome back, sorry to hear of all your troubles but hang in there - we're all with you too.
Inch - nothing like several stressful situations at once to get everyone focused and pulling together, right? Sounds like a good bunch you have out there. Are you still coming out this way or did you already and I missed it?
Work proceeds - moving all the support equipment from one trailer to the new one today to get a start on rework for next year. The new trailer is a 53' with hydraulic lift gate instead of our traditional ramps and pulleys. Still need to wall off the front where the kick is to give the drivers a place to change and store their gear, and put in the generator and compressor. CFO is down to Brooklyn this am to pick up the generator so that's underway as well. With a little work and some care we'll end up with a set up one third the price of new. Time to get back to it - that coffee sure tasted good. CUL, J.R.

Good morning fellers, how about a hot spot of coffee to warm up my mug! Chloe, I’ll have a warm bowl of oatmeal with some raisins and a slab of butter on top too.
The leaves they are a changing now, getting some yellows and reds on the hardwood trees now, makes for a colorful drive home in the afternoon. Too dark in the morning these days to make out anything other than the lines in the road.
Got my Precision Craft Models flyer in the mail this week and I am now making up a Christmas wish list. I like those EMD F3’s, the new EMD SD40-2.s slated for late 2007, talk about a long preview! And Broadway Limited Imports has those stock cars with sound that are cool too. Train Buddy has one of them on their layout with the hog’s sounds and it is really neat. The faster the car moves the hogs just go wild and the volume increases, as the car slows down the hogs are not as agitated, and these are available now.
PC, thanks for the salmon yesterday, what a treat too! Speaking of cooking, it seems that my recent soup recipes that I posted here last week are really taking off. And it is perfect timing for soup with the weather turning to cooler temps now. I will be making a batch of chicken and sausage gumbo this weekend.
Inch, thanks for the tips on keeping the mater plants past a frost or freeze.
PA Belt, girls like to play that game and she is probably just looking for attention. Metallica and trains might be a good combination.
Lisa, glad to see you again in the CS! Thoughts and prayers for MIL and your husband, and hoping all is well with you and your family.
Paul, that’s great news on the outcome of the tests.
Attaboy, not sure why you are getting that script message when posting. Maybe your browser security settings are preventing that action.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Cheers,

Great shot inch! Congrats! I think, judging by the caption they wrote, that they thought it was a model though.
Anybody ready for lunch yet? How about turkey and bacon on foccasia bread?

Reread the thread. All the photos are shots of real trains that the writer suggests would serve as good stuff to model. He specifically says: "...This week I decided to post prototype photos that have modeling potential..."
Guess lunch is on me guys!
Order Up!

If we all make enough noise about it, it might make it.
The coffee seems real good here...
It's almost fire season in Arizona...
Hey, Perry. Those pics look real good.
You don't have to tell me about fire season. I'm a fire fighter myself and we have our hands full with what's in Louisiana. I have had to go th other states in the past to help fight fires. It ain't fun.
Hey Jeff,
I saw you the other day! You're the guy dressed in green, right?
Good Evening, I'm glad to be back, Hubby's MRI came back and there is a slight(Dr's word) problem ( some thing to do with the blood flow in his brain) but the Dr put him on asprin therapy and hopefully that'll do the trick. MIL is still hanging on but she's not eating and the nurses think it could be any time now.
I worked on the layout some today, my lakeside town is coming along, I'm just trying to figure out how I want my road set up, I'm thinking dirt road as it is a small back water town.
I am sorry to hear of so many in need and you are all in my prayers and even though our situations are not the same rest assured I can and do hurt and grieve along with you.
Have a restful evening, see you tomorow God willing.
