Glad you liked the pics and I hope you get a chance to look at the web site and it would be nice if they would have another run.

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017
>Hello all, < I'll have a cold coke.
Check out the highlight effects.
Not much going on with me.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.
'Til later, Robert
P.S. Can ya'll see the highlight effects around "Hello all"? If not, scroll between the arrows while holding down the left mouse button. Don't ask me how I did it. I'm not sure myself.
Evening Gang: It was 107+ a little today. At 8pm it was still 106f. It's supposed to cool off this weekend. They are even saying that we may get some thunderstorms late Saturday and Sunday.
Noah: It sounds like you had a great trip. I'll look at the pictures tomorrow when I'm at work and have the hi speed conection.
Duke: I tried to do the gifs on the old sight but never could get the hang of it. On the new site here it is very straight forward and easy. As I said I'll probably drive you all nuts with them. I'll get a photobucket account and give the pictures another try. It maybe a while but I'll give it a try. I agree with you on that old dog thng. I feel foolish sometimes. I used to be an flight instructor in the hottest helicopter gun ship in the world. The AH-1-G Cobra. Of course now it's a museum piece. I guess you know what that makes me?
Time to get to bed. I'll see you all tomorrow.
Good Night All
Evening all,
I see you've been busy chatting away. Work's been keeping me entertained!
I've got to get some sleep now, but I'll check in tomorrow, K?
Bye!

Good morning! Cup of coffee this morning for me, still need a jolt to wake up. And some more of Ed’s fresh squeezed OJ please; I feel a sore throat and runny nose trying to break through.
Ben has started playing in the school band, and he will play the clarinet, he is now practicing on it every night at least 30 minutes a day. He also plays electric guitar and the trumpet at home, and seems to enjoy creating sounds and learning new songs.
No train work last night, too many errands and chores after work yesterday. I had to make a run to the local music store to pick up the music books and some supplies for Ben’s music class. Then once home I tried to repair the rear view mirror that came unglued from the windshield on the pick’em up truck. Ended up just throwing it on the floor board… will try again later when it is not so hot outside.
Tropical storm Beryl is about 180 miles off the coast of North Carolina and is supposed to head back out toward the north east today and tomorrow. Hopefully it will stay away from land as the forecasters are predicting. of relief…
back DerJohn! And who is who in that photo?? LOL, my guess is that you are on the left side….
Too bad about the peanuts and edamame Inch! Both are very nutritious and a great source of protein without the fat.
Dick, no basements here either, the train room is in a third floor room that was converted from an original attic space. It is fully built out with electric outlets, ceiling fan, carpet, central AC/heat, and I just put in a window AC unit too. That pool sounds like a refreshing way to get through this heat wave... and a nice way to stay cool…
Noah, nice rail pictures you got there! Thanks for sharing them with us.
LilRob, seems the forum code for highlights is still not up to speed. But I like the effect of scrolling over and seeing the highlight, neat effect.
Hey, PC, nice of you to drop in! Don't be a stranger OK!

inch, if you get the chance to make it to the Illinois Railway museum, I would highly suggest you do. They have, in my opinion at least, one of the best collections that actually operates regualarly. They have numerous diesel locomotives and cars that are running at different points in time, depending on the schedule that day. It's pretty neat really.
Well, I better get going, I've got lots of things to do today. We'll see you guys around,
Noah
Afternoon all!
Another crazy day at the office!
Gotta figure out how to get the boss to go golfing! Makes my day easier!
Just a little somethin'......
Hey PC, nice pics! And welcome back! Now you know what to give the boss for his BD and Christmas, golf packages at the local course...
Is it just me or has the MR Forum slowed down considerably since the change over?

LOCAL! Not a chance! I'm sending his butt outta state!
I thought it was a bit quicker, but not by a huge margin.
Afternoon Gang:
Ryan: It's you. You must be getting older and slower like me.
PC: you have the same problem I've got only it's trying to get him to go fishing. I'm not going to pay his ternament fee.
See you all later.
Well we got the second line done today but if it could go wrong today it did . The worst I guest is that the PTO shaft on the farm truck now is L shape as it bent as it busted off the truck today while trying to lift the bed to dump some dirt.
well time to get some rest wore out later all
Evening guys, just keeping cool. It's almost too hot "n" humid to type.Still doing the night shift but there's light at the end of that thar tunnel. Hope it's not a train.
Scott -Talk about being beside yourself Neat effect though. So who won ?
Der - Nice to see you make ot back online, it is a nice new coat of paint around here isn't it ? I'm glad that Heather got our best sides when she snapped that shot LOL. I'm guessing that that SD70 is on the "tight curve trucks"for making it around those #4 switches.
Catch everyone later

Hello all!
Just popping my head in to say Hi. Just got back but I have to run out to Monongahela, PA to visit my flight surgeon for my annual check up. The only good thing about sitting in the right seat is not having to do this twice a year.
See you all tomorrow.

greetings all,
Well managed to drop by today for a short visit. A lot has been happening here. I guess I should start by saying it looks like Mom and me will be making our home in Hattiesburg, Ms. We signed a contract to purchase some land there. It is 3 1/2 acres with an old wood frame house and two out buildings on the property. I plan to move the big house back on the property and remodel it for mom and me to live in for the time being. Once there I will build our home on the site where I moved the big house from.
We have a couple that are mentally changelled that we have adopted. One of the buildings on the property was a apartment that I will remodel for them. These are good people that tend to be used by every one that they come in contact with. We figured we can stop that if we adopted them.
Once our house is built we will then move them into the big house. They will live there for as long as they want to.
Hattiesburg has three major railroads that come through. The NS, KCS, CN, and Amtrak.
There is a railroad museum at McComb Ms. and I managed some photos of some old ICRR stuf.
This is an aluminum reefer and is the only one built.
ICRR 4-8-2 Heavy Mountain # 2542 displayed at the museum.
More bad news: Mom's Father passed away this past week. He left home early that morning to go take care of some business. When he didn't come home that evening they started looking for him. He had gone back to the old family property and they found him setting under a large live oak. It was like he knew he was going home. He was 89.
Bout all I have at this time.
Neal

Good Morning All,
Just running through again as we try to catch up on work. I'll have a regular to go Zoe.
Welcome back Der and Trolley Rob as well. No MRR work the last few days except on the display at the museum where we're busy working on the yard side and terrain. We used homasote rail bed and as it was shaped and slit to bend, we are now filling and shaping to make a less uniform banking.
Had a slide show by Peter Maclaughlan last night with pics of the New Havens' Berkshire line when he ran the locals out of Danbury to Pittsfield, Ma. Even showed a few of an FL-9 being turned on the armstrong turntable at Pittsfield. The slides covered 56 through PC days including his first day on the job (doing maint work in the electric motors yard - cool stuff the EF-4's and 3's).
All for now ,time to pick up tools. CUL, J.R.
Mornin all,Coffee please Zoe
Another hot one here, but the weather guesser says it’s the last one for a few days. Suppose to have a nice weekend, highs in the mid 80’s and low humidity, which is good going to be another busy one.
Ryan, I can eat peanuts, just not boiled ones.
Noah, we’ll most likely get up to the museum, just don’t know when Mother will have a meeting at the main office, that way the company can pay for the gas and most the hotel.
PC, good pics, are those from up there by you.
The local TV had this link on last evening. The feller has some interesting photos in it, including some of an ore ship being loaded by rail.
