REALLY!?!  I wouldn't have guessed that.  Did you skim the balsa with something to get rid of the woodgrain, or just sand it?

Oh, and have fun railfanning!

Mornin all, coffee n a couple of Bill's doughnuts Janie
another nice day on tap here, which is good fur Mother's Bday doings laters.
We had a good trip yesterday to the train show, not to hot and a nice breeze. Decided we're leaving the bigger ones some place else next time though. Only 10 venders there, but some good deals, I picked up a couple odds n ends and some trees. Also had 2 scenery clinics going on. They had lots of old tractors  and equipment, lots of other thing going on also.

PC, I've tried the URL's and they still don't work, guess I need to holler at Burgie. The room sounds like it a good size for an N scale, but I thought you were HO.

Hey GUMBY, howed the LAB work go yesterday.

They're working.  I was able use them.  I like the railimages stuff BTW.  I haven't seen an operational one of these in a long time (outside of a state park campground)

The room sounds like it a good size for an N scale, but I thought you were HO.

I've been in N since the mid 80's.  You Horribly Oversized guys do make a convincing argument for your scale though.  But I just can't come over to the dark side!

BTW, I liked your pics.  The first one,....is that the cross that you can see from I-70?  If so, I've seen that thing in person and I can attest to the fact that it is absolutely HUGE!

OZJim,

Post some of those railfanning pics here!  We'd like to see them too!

Oh, and the roads too!  Thats pretty cool! EDIT: I just saw your other post showing the pics of the roads.  Nice job!

God is sitting in Heaven when a scientist says to Him, "Lord, we don't need you anymore. Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of nothing.

In other words, we can now do what you did in the 'beginning'."

"Oh, is that so? Tell me..." replies God.

"Well", says the scientist, "we can take dirt and form it into the likeness of you and breathe life into it, thus creating man."

"Well, that's interesting. Show Me."

So the scientist bends down to the earth and starts to mold the soil.

"Oh no, no, no..." interrupts God,

(I love this)

"Get your own dirt."

They wasn't working yesterday when I tried them, but I see they are now. BTW, an out house is what I grow up with. I had indoor plumping before mom did. RT / PC, there's a bunch of them here in ILL. state parks still and we have one at campground A.

The room sounds like it a good size for an N scale, but I thought you were HO.

Hi Gang:

Jerry: This order will make 220 of the Walthers cars and maybe 75 of the MDC cars. There are also a few old Varney cars so it might be 300 all told. By the way this is classified infomation and will not be passed on to my wife.Wink [;)]Wink [;)] For a freighter that hauls 12000 tons it takes about 185 loads to fll it. You have to figure that a bunch of cars will be at the mines or in empty transit and others in the yard waiting to be moved to the dock. Looking at all that, I'm still needing more cars. I'll make do with what I have untill I can get the layout operating or untill Walthers has another sale like that one. Of course I'll pick up MDC cars as I can find them. I'd also like to get some of the Westerfield cars to give the trains some variation.

I'm at work right now so no MRRing. After lunch I have to make a mold to cast some rubber nails. Our carpenters are abit clumsey and we don't want to give them anything that they can hurt themselves with.Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]

I'm going to leave out now. Thanks Jerry for the lunch. Corny dogs and a diet coke went down easy and won't make me sleepy for this afternoon.Sleepy [|)]

See you all later.

Tilt train very vast tilt train, these are the fastest Narrow Gauge trains on Earth.

A rebuilt EMU, these have been in service for over 20 years, and are expected to last another 20.

same as above, note where the horn is, in the plough to the right of the coupler.

Damn! I pressed the button too late!

While i was there, A lady pulled over and asked if i was ok, i guess because i was so close to the tracks and i had been there all day... i said im fine and she went on her way. i also got so many weird looks, like what are you doing etc. I also saw a truck try beat the boom gates, he won, just.

Good afternoon gents, it finally cleared here with the Canadian cool front passing through.
A peaceful Sunday, no work, just catching up on reading, budget work, etc.

I just heard from ED, he said to tell the CS gang that he is alive and well up in New Foundland, and it has been HOT up there too, as the locals are all complaining about the heat. It is back to normal today though he said, 13C and damp mist. He has taken some pics of Narrow Guage trains up there, but not much left he said. Fran is disappointed, no Ice Bergs, global warming is really taking a toll up north as the Polar bears can atest, no ice flows to catch seals, their prime diet.

Well, time to fire up the grill, marinated steak tips are ready.....

  Hello.

Just a quick visit while Gloria is resting.  She had a good day yesterday but a very restless night.  We still have a long long fight ahead.

Most of my spare time is spent with her, so MR is not progressing as much as I'd like.  I took some photos for all to see.

Looking up That st.

The other side of That st

Some activity at the end of This rd where the sugar refinery is located

Some activity in the yard

The polar bears have heard that Fergie is going up north to the Arctic

I know I missed a few birthdays    Hope you all had a great day.

Also to all the new faces around.  Do come in often and have fun with us.

Well, I must go.

Happy MRRing

Good Evening all!

Just a coffee tonight, Chloe, thanks!

James:  Great pictures and video.  Thanks

We are have a little MRR crisis here.  My parents decided to get my oldest a Bachmann 4449 daylight for his birthday (that was in April).  Unfortunately, Bachmann has yet to receive their shipment from China.  My son had been very patient up till now but he is getting a little impatient with the wait.  It's a great teaching moment for me, that is when I'm trying not to laugh at some of his comments.  Oh to have the innocent view of the world of a child.

Good night all.

For some strange reason I have the feeling that my secret is not safe. I felt this way just after reading Fergie's post. Hummm.Eight Ball [8] You don't have to worry about enough power to pull all those cars. I've got the catalogue from Walthers/Life Like and have been scoping out that USRA heavy 2-10-2. I'll have to see if it is out by the first train shows this winter.

Luc: My best to you better half. I'm pulling for her.

I think that I'll head for bed now. You all have a good night and I'll see you all tomorrow.

RT: OK. The vertual locomotives are in the vertual mail and should be arriving any time now. Yea, right. Her I am again. This is my Wednesday so I'm looking at the down hill side of the week. That's a good thing as I have one of thoae summer colds that you just can't get rid of and there isn't anything to take to help much.

It's time to check the maintanence log and see what has happened over the last evening.

I'll see you all later.
