Well, you got a good deal there.

I got an airbrush that I got as a freebie. When my father went TDY in Seoul he found it in a desk. Even had a pre-mixed jar of paint that looks close to BN green.

I haven't actually used it yet since I have no spray booth. The only place I could do it is in a carport, 3 sides are closed off, so wind can only be a factor if it comes from the south. (which it rarely does, thanks to the pine trees blocking most of it)

Vincent

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

I got my locomotive back from Alex...as well as a friend's GP38-2 and my Impack set...

Here the two locomotives are pulling a baretables Impack set. There's the new set of 7 units (I accidentally purchased a 3-unit center set, so we got a full set (5 units) for the ends. That would make 8, but one of the center units is painted red so I'm just going to stick it up on blocks in a shop scene.)

WRS 1701 is a GP9M, and will need some work before it's done. I need to paint the inside of the shell black (because the headlight makes the body glow) and install window glazing on the front windshield. I may also move the bell... Sorry Alex.. I don't think any railroads put the bell in front of the cab window...Whistling [:-^]

The new Impacks are the blue and black ones, I already owned the orange ones and the caboose.

Athearn...

If you need any Jordan, last saturday Yoshi and I,w ith Yoshi's money, bought 60 of them of Ebay, 12 5 car sets... I think he is going to be seling 30 of them so you may want to get in touch with him. For the 0 cars he paid like 60 something dollars and 17 shipping... Really good price if you want a long generic TOFC train.

it's amazing what you can do to a RTS track plan with MS paint:

The green=trees, dark gray=roads/parking lots, the teal=buildings, and the dark blue lines=staging limits. The unmarked building is going to be a church, and the black rectangle across from it will an N scale Pillar concert going on, with music supplied from two earbud headphones.

Nice stuff guys! I just invested in a beautiful St.L&H GP9u. This locomotive officially starts my CP Rail roster between 1989-present.

I haven't actually test-ran it yet on my layout... It worked fine on the Q&NE, but my track isn't that good...Whistling [:-^]

I just painted the inside of the shell black last night to get rid of the "glow" from the headlamps, I'll probably reassemble it today.

Hello, my name is John and I scratchbuild narrow gauge N scale.

The flat car is scratchbuilt from wood, the steam donkey is a Details Associates kit

Here's the underside of the flat car before brake rigging and paint

The railroad I'm modelling was a 42" gauge logging line in the Dismal Swamp of north eastern NC and south eastern VA.

I also model steam era Norfolk Southern (the railroad that went from Norfolk, VA to Charlotte, NC, not the new NS).

There's just something about sailing. Maybe it's the pretty girl serving as a bow ornament.

Welcome to the forums.

I model HO, a little bit of HOn30, Gn15, and some On30. Narrow gauge N is just too small for me!

Looks like you have some cool prototypes your modeling!

BTW: Check out this link: http://www.carendt.com

Hopefully you'll find it inspiring!

Super Cheif not to be mean but it is spelled Kile not Kyle, it is said the same way, Kyle is just the common version.  Its not big deal.

Yes I am going to model the C&O in HO.  I am getting ready to build my benchwork.  I am hoping to get a lot of stuff for my layout for X-mas.  If you want to know all of the details about what I am going to model I can tell you them if you want. Just ask.

I am going to do a freelance model of two coaling tower that are going to be side by side they will coal 6 locomotives at once.  If you have the "Model Railroaders guide to locomotive servicing terminals" on page 17 there is a picture of two kitbashed tichy coaling towers.  I am going to model something similar to that. Along with ash pits, water columns, and all the thing a service terminal would have except a roundhosue and turntable which I dont have room for. That is going to be my main scene.   I am trying to get a scene of a large engin terminal with out the roundhouse and turntable. Mine will be more of a "Rest Stop" for my locomotives.

I am mainly going to model C&O in the spring of 1942.  I love coal drags so that is going to be my main freight that I will pull.  I am also looking at haveing serveral large Articulated engins.

If you have any other questions I would love to answer them.

BTW I also love to waterfowl hunt.

Track plan No, I have thought of making one but just have a rough idea in my head.  Do you know anyone that is good at it?  Is it easy to do?  I have seen there is software that you can download but just dont know where to get it.

About my name.  It was my Moms great grandpa's name.  My mom told my dad if we have a boy she is nameing it kile but spelling it like here great grandpa's name.  That about all I can say to that.

well, I consider myself not half bad (now that I downloaded RTS, lol). GG is da bomb at it though!could you translate that rough sketch to paper and email it to me (sbpackernut@gmail.com) and i'll get RTS running. BTW, here's a link for it (RTS=Right track software by Atlas):  http://www.atlasrr.com/righttrack.htm

I'll plan it for ya if you send me the sketch, tell me how big it will be, and how wide the tables will be, what shape it will be, and then I'm sure there will be some more questions lol.
