Wow. I managed to get 2 atlas and 2 walthers cabooses and an athearn for less than 16 bucks each. (Thats all of my cabooses, 2 atlas wide visions, 2 Walthers Bay windows, and a new athearn RTR wide vision [the atlas is better than the athearn in every regard])

What make is the non-white face BN SD40?

BTW, There is a BB MKT SD 40-2 at the local club with a lenz decoder installed for 25 bucks that I'm thinking about repainting for BN. But for now I think I'll wait for Dothan's show to see if I can find a DT400R.

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

Aaah! The yellow is back! And now I'll type in my railroad's color... I'll go with regular black in the future though...

And your "secret" code is pretty easy to hack...

I've got a full day of trains ahead of me, including some more work on my 50-foot intermodel flat (based on the 50-foot boxcars Southern converted to TOFC cars), and some scenery work in Dooley, NH. The intermodel flat will be for containers, unlike the trailer-only Southern one. I'll post photos when it's a little further along.

In the meantime, I'll post a photo to try and put this back on-topic...Whistling [:-^]

what i'm hoping to do is start ballasting the new section of my layout and get the lot for the transfer building built.

Of course, i'll get 1/10th of that work done.

Tone it down some Alex, lol, it might be worse than YELLOW.

Here's some shots of the small industrial park.

The foreground spur is the future lumber yard. the one behind it is the transfer warehouse's:

here's an overhead shot. I'll probably use lichen to hide that crack inbetween the foam.

The spur for the propane dealer and the main:

Front of the transfer warehouse:

What's going on at the Aiken Locomotive Works:

and the back main:

Well, I got back a few hours ago from marching in the parade. It was really hot. It had been a while from the last time I wore the uniform. Last time was when I was in 7ths grade so...it was old habit to putting it on....

I broke my hands... not literally... They are just really sore... Waverly & West Hamilton's small shop force worked a 10 hour day to get WWH's pulpwood car and caboose back in service. The pulpwood car is an old Mantua with body mounted Kadee's, scale air hoses, and Reboxx wheelsets. The Caboose is an old Tyco Bobber shell, with 1/8" taken off the bottom, mounted on a styrene frame. It has 1970's step white metal castings, and sits on a walthers six axle truck. It also has a large Bowser headlight on the back. I need to order some markers and more air lines next time I put an order at walthers. Oh, and I'm backdating my 44 Tonner... That's a work in progress. It needs new handrails, a lot of putty, and a new drive. I'm going to invest 50$ in a new Bachmann 44 Tonner with DCC when funds become available. That will probably happen in a year or so since my current RS3m project is far from finishes, and after that I'd like the Atlas HH660.

Well (insert name of my RR shop) received a large sum of money (really my paycheck), and I have found a source of good decoders for cheap. As a result, those Alco C425s may be put into service alot sooner and using less money than previously anticipated. The visit to the paint shops is scheduled for tommorow after I get back from college (spray painting pilots, and walkways black, but leaving some green as per prototype; probably using flat black in a can since I have a whole bunch of it left over).

Nice progress! I need to save for a camera so I can start my progress. I decided getting a camera (possibly a secondhand first-gen Digital SLR) before starting anything, because I want to document EVERYTHING I do. Big Smile [:D]

i hope you didn't write what i think you wrote on your table cause that would be very.....weird

though i did learn an expensive lesson a couple days ago, if you don't have time to ballast your points and wait till they dry, don't get the heat gun out and try dry the water out of the cement cause you end up with a melted turnout.......it was a peco curved tunout as wellGrumpy [|(]
