Good morning from a sunny and cold Crystal Lake where it is barely 36 degrees and feels more like 28 with the breeze. Looks like Halloween was nice for many. Looks like a busy day here. Sorry about the car, Fife... I've had that experience. Phila, prayers for your fellow officers (and for you and your bride with the baby - you're beginning a great journey). Chief, How's Peak? Brent, will email later. Jim, ain't that the truth?

Mornin' boys.  Mornin' English.  Cloudy and 59 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Youngest girl looked beautiful in her white witch costume (NARNIA) last night.  Also noticed a lot of older teens out last night, but heh, at least they're doing something...

Insurance called me yesterday to tell me car is being totalled out.  I'm out the $7400 on car payments I've made over past three years (car is worth less than that...), "sorry".  Oh, and got a follow up call an hour later as to how did I like my service...I politely explained it wasn't a good time to ask that question...

Philaknight - Terrible news.  Hope your "brothers" can fully recover.  Philly is bad;Baltimore is worse.  When I get to the mountains, I'll send you some real estate ads.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the high 50s.  Philakinght, good luck with the baby.  Life will get interesting for you.  We had many trick or treaters last night with over 50 stopping by.  We think the orange lights may have helped bring them in.  I also managed to do weights and some track work at the YMCA.  Read the Hogwarts trainset reviews on another post.  Sounds like it is a good set.  It may not be a "Polar Express", but I think it will sell well.  Just the usual fare on the dining car this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Since I spent the night alone - great night sleep - woke late and to the office late... oh well... see what happens when SWMBO is gone for one night!

Most of the kids that stopped last night were teenagers, and all were nicely attired (for a change).  A few of them are going to make nice wives... Shock [:O]

Doug - I haven't gotten rid of the track yet, just made arrangements for anything that doesn't get spoken for before the exchange takes place next Monday or Tuesday.  I want to clean it up and make sure all the parts and instructions are included with each switch, operating track, etc.

Kurt - Will get back to you tomorrow on total cost.

Jumijo - Time certainly is flying... seems like just yesterday I was at post number 1... what a year will bring!

Great night Trick or Treating!  Oldest was soooo excited!  She was Dora swag went into the backpack.  Youngest didn't want to wear the cow costume, so she sat in the stroller.  Great Haul...mostly chocolate, and one small wooden train.  The light up necklaces and bracelets ($1 for 15 at Michaels) we passed out were a big hit!

Youngest ansy...and throwing toast gotta go.

Joetrains,

The penny for the guy kids have been at it now for over two weeks and fireworks have been let off for the same amount of time. It is against the law for private citizens (who must be over 18) to buy more than seven days before or to let them off other than Nov 5th. I have seen 10yo kids setting of industrial fireworks in the last week. A large part of the population want a total ban on accursed things.

Dennis,

The landlady of the Armoury has been asking me where the photographs of your friends pub are?

Good morning from New England, where another nice day is in store. Mid 60s and sunny. Will wash the car tonight and perhaps work on Brent's trains.

The kids had a great time trick or treating and giving candy out last night. They all fell asleep in my bed watching Casper (again). I limited myself to one Reeses cup. The battle of the bulge continues.

November 1st already. The older I get, the faster times seems to fly by.

PhilaKnight - gotcha covered....I remember when Philly was a better place than NYC....times have changed...

WELL...the display was a huge success, emptied a CALDRON FULL of candy.  Was preety much done at 8:45, a few stragglers at 9 whilst I was removing the electronics.  Lots of great comments on the house and a few scared little ones ( but I got them their goodies anyway).

I'll post a video tomorrow....I smell like fog juice.Dead [xx(] will probably shower off if I can stay awake long enough

Off tomorrow and Friday, TTFN!

Hello everyone I haven't been on lately little one is due anyday now. Had 2 false alarms since monday.

Hasn't been a good week at work either. Had 3 officers shot in the last 4 days. This city is going down fast. I'm thinking it's time to abandon ship and get out of Dodge. If you could just keep my friend Officer Cassidy in your prayers. He was shot today.

Well some good news is the Dr says it look pretty good that the little on will be here by this weekend. Still in disagreement with the wife about a name. I would like Jolena, my wife wants Gia but it sounds to much like a nickname, Vienna is kinda in agreement for now. Well have a good night everyone.

Man, I love Halloween. Went home early on an extra express Metra laid on. Carved the pumpkin with the youngest, then he got his knight costume together, I got out his red wagon and off  we went. It was clear but got cold when the sun set. Visited a few blocks. He went up by himself and rang the doorbells, remembered to say thank you. He was scared by some decorations and after that I went up to the doors with him. It must be fun to be five.

The two teens went around - sans costumes... no fun.

IE ate my post again Sad [:(]

No t/treaters since the kid stubbed out his cig and demanded candy about 4 years ago.  Kids around us are too old or too young - very young ones just go to their friends' house and to parties.  Not like when we were kids at all.  Had some chicken fingers and watched Ghostbusters with the kids, now The Great Pumpkin!  Off tomorrow and will play with trains with kids - have a couple scenery Q's, will make separate threads!

Doug M - trainset, is that a single word though?  I guess....

Actually, it's I-280 which turns into I-75 and yes it is open and very impressive at over 4 miles long. I am not so sure I would want to take it in a snow storm! Shock [:O]

The 8,800ft-long I-280 Maumee River Crossing is a new cable-stayed bridge connecting north Toledo and east Toledo at Maumee Bay and will replace the existing I-280 Craig Memorial Bridge.

Glass panels equipped with an LED lighting system will be installed on all four sides of the Maumee River Crossing Bridge's main pylon. Each LED will last 100,000 hours, providing 22 years of illumination at 12 hours per day.

Evening fellas...

Home Alone tonight... Susan is in Toledo, OH for an audit till Friday...

Handed out the candy to the kiddies... we got all of 15!  We have a ton of candy left over...

While the kids were coming and going I decided to do the long awaited CPU upgrade on the computer.  Had to update the BIOS first, which required installing a Floppy Drive... BIOS update went fine, computer booted.  Removed old CPU Fan and CPU.  Installed new CPU and CPU Fan (looks like a Harley Engine)... booted computer... no problems... Windows recognized the new CPU, required a reboot... been up and running for 20 minutes now... all I gotta say is I love Dual Core technology... computer is LIGHTENING fast!

On the way home I stopped by the LHS to check on their latest offerings... Hogwarts were in... didn't buy one... looked around... not much to see... then my eyes saw a box... MTH Railking Western Maryland GP-7... Thumbs Up [tup] unpowered Sad [:(] but it matches my powered GP-7! Smile [:)]  Only $90.00... I wonder if its possible to power this guy? Confused [%-)]

Spoke with owner about exchanging FasTrack with Atlas-O and he's game! Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup]Thumbs Up [tup] So packing everything up that hasn't been spoken for... Kurt putting your stuff aside... Doug haven't received your email yet... and going there next Monday to do the exchange! Smile [:)]
