RT,

I'm thinking about a new truck for myself, but that law of the land thing you mentioned is keeping me in the 'thinking only' stage for now. Question [?]

Well the temptation was too much... Yesterday I received the B&O Passenger cars my wife ordered for my birthday from rtraincollector.  They have been sitting on the dining room table waiting to be mated up with B&O Mikado she bought me for Christmas (I had packed all the train stuff away in anticipation of the pending move), well the trains were calling out and I could resist no more!

Here they are in all their wonderous glory!  They make a nice long passenger train! Approve [^]

I'll let the rest of the pics speak for themselves:

A few of the cars need a bit of cleaning, but that was to be expected.  I can now no longer wait to move and get the new layout built and see these beauties flying down the tracks!

THANK YOU BILL!!!!!  I can not express how pleased I am with these cars!  And the B&O Hopper was a nice surprise as I don't have much rolling stock! Big Smile [:D]

Can't wait to move in, get the layout built, and have the lot of you over for a train room warming party... huh, I mean house warming party!

Good eveining again,

Something just went wrong and I lost the post that I had typed.

A little more on the Lehigh & New England FA1.  I did a little research and it looks like Williams did a pretty good job on the paint scheme.  This is a prototype.

A Very Snowie Evening from NE Ohio

where the temp is 14 deg with lots more snow  fallling. We should have 12 to 14" by morning.

I was going to Grand Rapits in the morning, but have put off the trip for one day.

Just remember that OTTS started as a meeting of local forum members in NE Ohio. And now it is about 30 members strong.

Evening all!

Temps have been dropping about a degree per hour since the 56 degree high at midnight last night. Might hit 28 tonight and maybe a light snow tomorrow. It was near 70 in some areas here Monday.

Jim A - glad to hear about Julia! We'll keep her in our prayers.

Jim - very nice on the coaler!

Doug - is that your autographed Robin pic??

John - the B&O looks good. Are you buying it (you probably said so elsewhere in the pot but I missed it).

All geared up for V-Day tomorrow. Got the flowers hidden and the cards are ready to launch in the am!

Have a great evening all!

Crazy weather in snOhio today! Not actually that much snow on the ground here but it's drifting and they really aren't keeping up with the plowing. Everyone remember Valentine's day tomorrow!!!!! That way I'll get plenty of overtime! The weather will be giving me a good bit of overtime all by itself!

Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]  Better not laugh.  It thundered and lightninged earier.  Tale is it will snow in 10 days.  Poured down rain like a big summer storm.  Been raining off and on.  If it had been snohio, we'd be burried.   Bedtime.  Good night.

Rained overnight last night, turned to sleet this morning, then big, heavy snow flakes.  I think we got about 3 inches at my house or less - it is blowing all over, but it is icey underneath of course.  Up north a few miles and down south a few miles, they got much more!  School already closed for tomorrow.  I'll call in again, since my wife was off Monday sick with a hurt back.  She'll have to take off if there are more days this week or month though.  Ran all the wires for the switches through the foam and back to the controls area/corner.  Since I'll be off tomorrow, I'll run wires for some of the accessories and draw up some plans for my control/power box.  We watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets today - can't wait for that Lionel Set!  What a brilliant marketing coup!  First the Polar Express and now this - these guys are onto something!  The Hogwarts' Express actually got me into trains again with an HO model I bought just a few years ago.  The Polar Express has sure brought a lot of folks into the O gauge hobby and I'll bet that the Hogwarts' Express will do the same again Thumbs Up [tup]

The white stuff left us this morning but its going to be really frigid for a couple of days through the weekend.  We got about 3 inches+ in Kansas City and thats about it.  Next week it may get up to the 40s or low 50s so says the weather man.

Tom:  Love that bus in tonights photo.  Where did you find that?

Goodnight all.

Digging Chief, I would think carefully about London in 2011, it will be one big building site (2012 olympics). With the screw up over building just on stadium (Wembley) for a few dorks to play footy being two years late and miles over budget anticipate unmitigated chaos. so be warned!

John is right Chief, Wembly is still is not finished! I think there is going to be a proper regular season NFL game held there this autum. I think thats a first outside the US. Then again they probably won't finish the place by then!

I hope I am proved wrong but unmitigated chaos..probablySmile [:)]

Good morning from a sloppy New England!

A mixed bag expected today. Rain, snow, and sleet. I experienced all 3 on the drive in this morning.

Happy Valentine's Day, boys! I sure hope you all got something for your better halves.

Julia seems to be getting better!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a snowy 17 degrees. Going up to a cold 20 today. Had misty rain last night and it froze up. Light snow this morning. Looks like another, stay at home day. I wish.

Today, I have to run an errand and then I will stay here. Have to do grocery shopping in Cambridge tomorrow. Looks like they got a lot of snow, up North. Maybe run trains, later. Did a lot of work yesterday. Well on the way , to finishing up setting bridges.

The snow covered Dining Car is here. Time for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Good morning everyone,

I got notice early today that we are off!!!! Tomorrow will be our last day, because we have Friday off. A nice short week. My dad traveled up to the main office yesterday, and the area where he is is expected to get nothing less than a foot of snow. He was supposed to come home last night, but I guess he can't now.

Well, I hope everyone in the Northeast stays safe with the weather. And hopefully everyone has a good day.

BTW, Jim: I'm glad Julia is getting better. I hope she continues to.

Morning all.  Jim F is more excited about school being closed than the kids. Shock [:O]  Mickey Sign - Welcome [#welcome] as I think this is your first Coffee Pot visit [so many new my senior mind may have missed it].  Check out my reply to your post on Weaver hoppers.  You got accidently mislead.  Well, suppose to shampoo the carpets in down stairs.  Raining right now.  Better get rolling and also pack for Orlando and back to work tomorrow. Sad [:(]  Once I'm back in the grove, I'll like Big Smile [:D] it.  Will miss working on the RR.  Jimbo, sure glad Julia is doing better.  Still think she should have gone to the hospital the other day.  You are a better Dr. than the Doctors.  You turned her around with the liquids.  No playing in the snow for the rest of the year.

Guess the "English" don't want us to have a CTT meeting in the UK. Shock [:O]  They did not suggest an alternate location to London.Wink [;)]

Now to wish all the Yanks a white out and lots of snow. Wink [;)]

Happy Valentines Day from a frozen Chicago where it is sunny and 4 degrees. We're all at work and in school -- unlike you wimps further east. What's a little snow - only 6 inches or so...

I'd like to go back to London - a CTT Forum convention is a great idea - or to visit Nick and John at a local: the bride and I went there on our honeymoon in '89. I got an early Valentines Day gift from Lionel - a K-Line catalog in the mail! I love looking at a real catalog instead of the ones online. I hope to also visit some hobby stores closer to the city on Friday under the guise of driving to to a vendor's office.

Roy, that Robin photo is one from Burt Ward I found online.
Jim F., I have that Bachmann  HO Hogwart's train too - or rather I, uh, got it for my son. Did you see the preview photos of the Lionel one?

Colin, has there been a prognosis for your Grandpop?

Glad to hear everyone is doing better!  Our weather has cooled off a bit, only in the mid 60's, suppose to be nicer this week-end.  Be glad to see winter over soon, to when nicer days prevail.

Finished painting the old train room, it is now an Exercise room.  Now to put the machines back together, son's weight machine, wifes eleptical machine, my computer station.  Kind of unusual color for a home gym.  Peach, I think it looks pink.  But that was what she wanted, and we had about 3 gallons left over in a 5 gallon bucket from when we had the family room painted.  One huge step closer to having no conflicting priorites with working in the train room.  Just got to get the dinning room, living room and hallway done.  She wants to have it done, I would prefer to do it my self and save the money.  Only issue is the staircase.  Maybe I can rent a scaffold from Lowes or home depot.

Going to train club tonight, Chris is doing some work there on some curtains.  His agility and light weight makes him the perfect candidate.  Nedd to pick up some safety googles and keep in the car, he always gets involved with cutting stuff with a jig saw and they don't have any glasses there.

Have a great day all and stay warm.

Roy, my understanding is Garland is already open. ?????  Just was trying to remove label glue from bottom of new frying pan with groves.  Remembered, WD40.  Spray and wipe it off.  Just checked in for flight on Southtrash. Sad [:(]  Well, direct flight means half the flying time and half the cost to company.
