Hmmmmm...... I checked my Weather.Com and it says that the Central area of Ohio ( Roger's Corners ) will get hit with 11 " of snow. It also said that Northern Ohio will get up to 16" of snow. Now, it also said that the area around Blueberryhill, Ohio, will get 1 to 3 " of snow. We must be in the Tropical Belt of Ohio. I hope they're right.

Just think NY has 6 1/2 FEET with more to come...........here inside the 270 loop we are looking for 6 inches?!?!? Usealy in snows heavy north and south of Columbus and we just get a dusting of snow. I think I should check the battery on my RAMAIR Trans Am and take her out for a winter ride It is a 2000 model and only has 7K miles on it I used to drive it to work all year snow rain sleet or Ice then I bought a Ford F-150 crew cab. Both vehicals have matching hoods they are busty(have scoops) no flat hoods here only the trans am is functional the one on the truck is just for looks

Lucy, I'm home!!!! Actually been home for hours. Had to go get meds and that took longer than the surgery [not realy but seemed like it]. Between getting meds filled, walked to pond with corn for deer. Little fox [about the size of a big cat] ran out in front of me and stopped about 50 yards away. I drew and flipped safety. Slowly walked toward him, He didn't move so I fired. Knew I would not hit him. He ducked back into the thicket. Walked on down the path and up the hill. The idiot ran out in front of me from the other path. Fired one at about 50 and one at about 75. The last one must have been close as I saw him kick his back feet sideways. Still ran up the path and finally into the woods.
Well, report on hand is: got a hole the size of a dime and a little deeper than the thickness of a dime. Did not stich it as it was right hand and, as active as I am, would probably pull them out. May take a couple of weeks longer to heal but will actually heal better. Also can get it wet and etc. like this. They cut out a chunk, bio'ed it, cut out some more, bio'ed it and last section came out clean. They said it was the type that grew more upward than inward. Good Lord was looking after me. They also said mine was small compared to most they see. Most folks wait too long. Real great group of Dr's and nurses.
Now microwave popcorn time. Thanks for the calls, emails and posts. Great group of buddies [even though some are Yankees ].
BTW: Jim A's Julia is not doing good at all. Dehydrated and left lung full of pneumonia [second time this year]. Prayers for her.
Colin, prayers for Granddad. That can be cured if caught in time. Pam's Dad had it. Doing fine now.

Hope Julia and all the other kids are doing well and glad to hear you got such a good report, Chief. Colin, my FIL has this and they are just watching it for now. It's actually pretty common the older you get and they have a very good cure rate if surgery/therapy is needed from what I've heard and read. Will keep him in my prayers as well!
No real news today, just another day in the orifice. Supposed to get from 2 to 6 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. My turn to take off with the kids if school is called, so....

well all went in tobuy the 1999 ford F-150 and came home with a Chevy 1500 cab and a half 2003. for about same monthly note same down payment but 1 year longer to pay on it.
Now what to do with the ranger may keep it as my daily running around car and use the newer truck for weekends and trips. has am/fm/cd so it'll be a nice addition for trips. will have to get some pics of it this weekend.

Jim - Too bad about your daughter being sick, we had the grandkids up yesterday, and the boy ended up with a 102 fever. All the kids helped grandma make cutout cookies (in train shapes of course!) so I hope he didn't share anything.
Chief - I hope the hand recovery does not delay the layout progress too much for you. The progress is fantastic. I guess when you take the time to plan on the front end it makes the work go smoother!

Thanks for the tip. Might have to use that in a different color for sidewalks. For roads going to go with emery cloth, found some in my shop.

Got home today and found a package from The Train Station.....got two Postwar coal hoppers, a lighted switch tower, a MTH Domino Sugar tank car, a KW in the box (LN condition), and a Reading woodsided caboose with smoke.
Had a great afternoon. Finished work early and went Hog hunting with one of the CV Surgeons. It was a fun afternoon, but a bit warm for hunting as it was almost 70 degrees.

Boy do all of us in the snow belt up here envy you tonight Dennis. Calling for 2-4" here before switching over to sleet and freezing rain. Coke trucks don't drive so well in the ice. We'll see how it goes.

I have had my share of snow. Went to college in PGH, and lived in NJ for many years. Had a fire engine with chains on slide down a hill sideways and take out a firehydrant and a car before it stopped....Ice is no fun. I am much happier on this side of the Mason Dixon Line.

We had a blessing today, Chris was off school, so a group of his friends were going to go to Magic Mountain today. They met for breakfast at a iHOP, then 8 of them were going in two cars. One guy was in a bad mood, (driver), and when they left the restaurant was headed the wrong direction on the freeway. (Not going against traffic, just headed the wrong way.) So the kids told him he was going wrong. What's he do, but starts driving fast, Chris said as fast as 100, so they told the driver to slow down, he get's off the freeway to turn around. And rear ends a car at the bottom of the off-ramp. Fortunately, NO-ONE was hurt. So the kids cancelled the trip and ended up going to a movie, and then bowling. The driver waited at the scene for the dad to arrive, and the CHP. We really are lucky, and it didn't end up in a major accident.

HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! The local weather folk were soooooooo wrong again! The Pile of snow we were supposed to get today turned out to be about 1/4 inch by 10am.....and then it went up to 35!!!!! Let's see how poorly they do for the next few days!

If my amature interpretations of reading a radar map are correct it looks like we might just miss another storm. Not looking good for the folks south of Lake Ontario though. At this rate upstate NY will get hammered hard again. Got the battery charger on the plow just in case.

Spent some time figuring out my old Ebay ID# and such so I could start bidding again. I haven't bought anything off there in years. Been looking at another Philco Predicta TV to go with one I purchased last year. The big drawback with buying most stuff on Ebay from the US is the shipping and duty charged to get it to Canada. With something the size of a TV this can get into the $150 range for the shipping alone...not to mention the duty. Luckily this Philco is in Toronto so I can simply pick it up. Looks like I'll have to dig deep to afford this one but it is top of the line and in really nice condition. My first Predicta needed cosmetic restoration as well as the installation of new LCD workings.

Modeling the Baltimore waterfront in HO scale
Well looks like we are DOOMED, started to snow here already. Roads are coated and getting slick. Wasn't suppose to start till this after, forcast for a foot north of Harrisburg. Temp went down four degrees since 5 AM. Yes we are DOOMED?
CHIEF, thought you had the rifle? Got to lob them out with that 9mm. Probably would have bounced off? Need to get a .45.

Julia is finally keeping fluids in. That's a good sign. I bought her some Gatorade and Healthy Water. I've heard that's good stuff to drink when you're dehydrated. She has a 9:30 appt today. My fingers are crossed. Thank you all for your prayers.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a snowy, 25 degrees. Coming down steady. About an inch , so far. Going up to 32 today, with more snow on the way. Now, they are saying we will get about 3 inches total. Some places will get a foot of snow.
Jim ( jaabat )....Glad Julia is doing better. She's in our prayers.
Today, is a " stay at home " day. Won't venture out unless it's absolutely necessary. I plan to work on the layout this afternoon. I am getting a good feeling about running a train thru both bridges. Need to do some track wiring. Good day for it.

I'm not sure why, but our schools are closed today. There's barely any snow. I think we could have made it in and gone home early. Oh well, I'll enjoy the day. I have to take vacation, but I've got so many days built up I'll be glad to use one today and even tomorrow if the predictions hold out.
Really am hoping for some warmer weather soon so I can get out in the train room. Been too cold even with the space heater. I received the new Kline catalog in the mail a few days ago. I'm really lovin those SuperStreets. Makes me wish I had more room.

A beautiful day in Ohio. The skiing is excellent all over the state except in Portsmouth on the Ohio River. Steve, is getting hammered with ice. We have four inches and we might get a foot from this major storm. From the radar, the storm extends all the way back into Iowa. NW Ohio has blizzard conditions which means big drifts, but the snowmobiles can blow right through them.
Ran trains last night. I swear the smoke is better in a colder room.
Jim, glad that Julia is doing better. No fun for a parent or child. I drink Gatorade when I'm sick, too.
Who was the Chief shooting at this time? Did he hit him?
