Another chilly, wet day here. Yesterday was the same. Spent the afternoon watching the Bears-Saints gam, couldn't watch the other one. CBS is a UHF station out of Atlanta and I'm too far out to get UHF, no cable available and too cheap for satilite (100+ channels and nothing worth watching).
I've had a few Williams Madisons soaking in break fluid since Sat. evening. It does a good job of removing the paint, though the color seems to affect how fast it comes off. Guess I'll clean them up today and try to sand out the heat stamp shadows.
Happy Birthday, Mitch!!!!!
And I agree with Mike. Eva Longoria is quite pleasing to the eyes! Insert diving board sound here!!!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is 33 degrees, with about 3 inches of snow on the ground. Going up to 36 today. Maybe more snow showers. This week, they are predicting a little snow every day. Foggy.
Today, I have a few things to do around the house. Will be busy for a few hours. Later I will work on the layout.
Mitch... Hope you had a good one.
Dining Car is rolling in from "points west." Breakfast.
Y'all have a great Monday.

One of my best friends is from Stockport, OH. He lives in Columbus now, but his familiy still lives there.

Good morning all,
It is a cold and drizzly day in SE Indiana with temps in the 30s. All the Colts fans are happy, and they must have stayed in bed as traffic was light this morning. I watched Desperate Housewives and checked the game during the commercials. Eva Longoria is much better to watch than Peyton Mannning :-) ! I ran the 318E last night some more. I better send the dining car to "Points East". I had three bran muffins this morning, but I left some on the car. I hope everyone has a good day. One more day until the new Lionel catalog goes online.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good morning. Coat of ice on trees, power lines and my back deck is really slick. But temp rose to 33-34 overnight and roads seem okay. School and many workplaces delay opening for two hours.
MTH N&W "J" derailed on 054 horeshoe curve last night---threw a traction tire. Will replace it with old brass Williams "J" for now and get new tires at shop tomorrow. Williams unit has been remotored, retrac-tired and now has TM/RS.
When weather improves will head to mountains for continued removal of my '92 airborne shelf layout at the house.
Happy B-Day Mitch Well wife wasn't all too happy when the 0-8-0 showed up . Yesterday morning I finished my school work then went downstairs and tested the 0-8-0... wife walks in in typical woman fasion with hands on hips... after a few laps she smiles and says, 'that engine is pretty neat... how did you get it to smoke like that?' This coming from the woman who gets sick from the smell of Lionel smoke! I look over and say, 'So I can keep her? I named her Susieq' She turns around and says, 'Yes... you kiss @$$!' 'Whatever it takes dear . And you liked the dinners I made 4 days in a row!' Still have to get the soldering done on the Berk Upgrade... post pics of the 0-8-0 and the Berk Upgrade pics and two videos...COLTS vs BEARSINSUPERBOWL XLI
Not sure who I want to win... root for Laz's Bears, or do I root for the AFC team?
Since my STEELERS aren't in it I guess my services will have to go to the highest bidder....
Hi GIZ,
MITCH. How old 39? Hope all went well on your Bday.
Little snow this morn NO delay. Big traffic accident down at YORK.
All have a good one.
BEARS are 7 point underdogs, just the way we like it.

Good morning from Mudville.
Congratulations to the Bears and Colts fans among us. We are not used to the Patriots disappointing us in the playoffs like they did last night.
Spent a lot of time running trains this weekend. Got out the Beep and let the kids fool with it on an oval of FasTrack. Last night, I ran and filmed a freight train led by a starter set 4-4-2. Will post videos soon!
Glad to hear that Chief got all his switches.

John, did you find Stockport, Ohio, USA? If you did then you were really looking. It is a very small town south and west of Blueberry Hill along the Muskingum River.

Ye-gods! at this rate there will be 43,000 posts in 21/2 years, that's a devil of a lot of conversation among a small number of like mindeds.
Now all the silliness is over and the man flu (my dear ladys word for a my cold) is over, the camera is on charge Dennis. My bus pass is going to get some use at last in persuit of sampling rooms, trouble is the chill on my old bones is a bit of a handicap and waiting for buses in winter is not much fun.
Keep on gritting.

I finally started building benchwork this weekend, and am about 3/4 of the way through. And it snowed here... First time this year.
I am amazed by the sturdiness of the "L girder" benchwork design. It's also turning out to be spot-on level! This is going to be a big improvement over the old hollow core doors.

Evening all,

Those are just some of the shops around Columbus area. There are a lot of shops all over Ohio especially in the Cleveland and eastern area. If you get a chance on the way there or on the way back, check out Train-O-Rama in Marblehead, Ohio. http://www.trainorama.net/ They have a HUGE layout and also a nice little store. Not far off of Ohio Route 2 or the turnpike. Definately worth the trip.
YUZ GIZ are great over 1000 posts in less then a month.
Spent all my allowance on train stuff, that's for sure. I won a bunk car with lights and smoke, then today I won a Lionel Lines derrick car and just now an MTH AF Sawmill (like new). Need to stay off ebay for a few days
We ate out at a chinese food buffet yesterday and I've been feeling sick ever since. Hopefully I'll be okay tomorrow, cause all our snow melted or is melting and no hopes for a school day tomorrow (my turn to take off for a snow day).
Home Depot called and my replacement sash for my window came in. Luckily I checked it before I signed for it at the counter. I need the right hand sash with locking toggle - they sent the left hand with the receiver. They'll call tomorrow and tell me when to expect the correct part. Things go in threes, so we had the computer stuff, the window (apparently the glass broke when the temp changed - there was water inside the the double pane and only the inside pane broke), and the camera. So, hopefully clear sailing for a little while now.
John B - I was thinking a Gritter might be a sort of critter from NC?
Man! My personal 1000th post was almost the 1000th post on the new Pot - that would have been really cool!

John,
The canary and pantagrams are really neat!
Buckeye Thanks! Hadn't heard of most of those before. I'll definately have to check out John and Betty's.....I like knowing when there are pushy sales people. I like to go in and look at lots of expensive stuff, get their hopes up, then say I'll be back next week! Sort of a head check for pushy sales people.
John, ( Jeffelectric ), saw your pictures & they are great !! Looks like nice stuff !! You're doing a great job with it !!
Thanks, John
