MS trains on West Broad is a MTH dealer.  Limited selection but great service. MSRP dealer.

John and Betty's Trains in Galena, another MTH dealer.  He gets kinda pushy sometimes trying to sell you something.   MSRP dealer.

Robbies Hobbies.  I'm not sure, but I think there is a connection to the Blue Caboose.  Again limited selection.

The Train Station...not a O gauge store. Great HO selection.

Dunham's in London, OH......Haven't been there yet, but haven't heard anything great.

Smokestack Hobbies, Lancaster....A great selection of Lionel and MTH.  Old K-Line still on shelves.

Hobbyland...never have what I need. MSRP dealer.  Have started carrying Atlas Trainman.

John, (jefelectric), your catanery looks great!  I may need to do a loop of it for some electrics.  Good to know you have done it and hopefully will have any bugs worked out prior to my venture.

Thanks for the headsup on the train stores.  I know I can still have fun in OHIO, especially when I wear my Florida Gators gear!Whistling [:-^]

Well, gonna head back to the family.  Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Well after all that noise and hullabaloo, we only got about 1/4 inch of snow at our house.  Roads were clear when I woke up at 8 this AM.  Up too late last night watching a movie and looking at stuff on ebay etc.  Found a Weetabix van/truck that looks like it's about 1/43, but by the time I got the email back with the dimensions the listing closed.  I'll watch and see if it gets relisted.  Watching Dukes of Hazard Season Seven, fourth disc -- the first episodes on this disc has Boss Hogg and Roscoe playing with an O gauge train set!

Hey - how many stars would I have gotten on the old software for my 1000th post?  Cause this was it! Cool [8D]

HOBO,

It is controlled that you can rotate 360 degrees andraise and lower bucket, and open close the bucket.  Real cool, I use my two coal loaders add coal to them then fill cars works real cool.

Good evening all,

It SNOWED in Indianazo (as the Chief would put it) overnight.  We got about 3-4 inches, which compared to what we have gotten in the past is nothing.  Lucas and I shoveled all the sidewalks and I drove up and down the alley a few times to clear the pathways there.  We went to church, which was not very crowded.  I set up the 318E in the back room and was running that this afternoon while Lucas was working.  Looks like the Bears will go to the Superbowl.  Although I really don't care if the Colts win today, it would be nice if they did so I don't have to hear about how Manning can't win a big game.  Blueberry Hill, sorry I was late for breakfast this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Evening everyone. John Baker, by all means, find your way to the pub! I am sure you can find a method of getting warm once you get there. While you are there, please snap a few photos and enjoy the evening. Chief, I am proud of you, all that work on the layout and all that snow hitting Ohio! I may be going to a meeting at OSU-Columbus the weekend of Feb.16-18th, so if you could take care of something else while I am there (don't want to get stuck in hostile territory).

Speaking of Ohio, does anyone know of any good train stores near by and what the hours are?  I think I would be arriving Friday afternoon and will be in meetings until 6pm Sat. and 5pm Sun.   Perhaps some in the area are up for some dinner....any place in the area serve Grits?

Had a good morning, the kids got up in time to have a good breakfast and get ready for Church in a respectable time and get there so I could run the light board.  The message was especially good and Sunday School was a pleasure.  Dr. John, "Facing the Giants" DVD should be out on the 30th of this month.  Also, I sat with the main guy behind the movies and he told me that we are doing well in the progress to getting the third one going.  I will keep you informed.

Have a great week and if I miss it, congrats on the 1000 post to whomever it goes to.

Dennnis

Buckeye, Fifedog and Spankybird - Thanks for the tips.  Haven't tried any of your suggestions yet - The hubby took me to Lowes this afternoon- bought the lumber for my layout expansion.  Started the benchwork down in his workshop where we had a heater - cut out all the pieces for the top framing; then the drill battery died after putting together about 6 boards.  Of course the darling had used the other battery and didn't charge it - so didn't get too much done (Think he really wanted to watch the Bears anyway).  Just too cold to work out in the garage today.  So, THE EXPANSION IS REALLY HAPPENING!!!  Will post a couple of pics of what I have now on the Sunday Photo thread - if I can get it to work for me today!

 Thanks again!

Here's my contribution to the post count: good afternoon from a Bears-crazed, snowy Crystal Lake where everything is seemingly canceled while we watch today's big game. Tapping away while watching and reading today's paper. Wow, looks like another Saints turnover. Wlll the Bears capitalize on it?
