BRUCE,
If your wife wants to buy her trains thats great. My wife does the same at YORK she buys all the stuff for running her own train under the tree. But just think if she gets some real nice stuff when shes not around you can get it out and play with it too. WIN WIN iN MY BOOK.

Well, so much for the dump truck to haul the GRITS. And we had snow forecasted for the next 7 days. He'll miss it. And we only get one sane Sutherner, every 10 years.

Wow Buckeye !! That must be why The Chief has been so nice to you lately !! He probably thought you really splurged the money on him, taking him to Burger King & all !! That was real nice of you to do that !!
Thanks , John

I hope we can get our $500 deposit back from the limo company. I'll also call the Hilton and cancel the penthouse suite that we had reserved. Lindy's, our five star restaurant had promised a great meal, too. Oh, well, easy come, easy go.
And the OSU band will need to be cancelled, too. I'm glad I had not set up the private tour of the Buckeye Yard. It would have been embarrassing to cancel. Dennis would have enjoyed sitting in the engineer's seat and taking a long NS coal train out of the yard towards Detroit.

Dennis - you may have missed Bob Keller's comment - you can download all the Lionel repair manuals and parts lists for free from Lionel's web site. These are huge pdf files (Supplement 1 which covers 1970 to 1986 is 72 MB, 500 pages, and is - hey! - a Greenburg/Kalmbach publication).
Go here: http://www.lionel.com/CustomerService/Findex.cfm
Hit Parts Lists & Pictorial Diagrams
At the bottom of that page is a link to Complete Supplements.
Buckeye, I was looking forward to catching up with Y'all, but alas, we will have to wait till another day. I had my extra bag loaded with Grits too!
Oh Well, not a good day, I tried to follow up on a lead for a Greenberg's guide to Modern Era Lionel trains, but that didn't pan out. I did get a bit of reading of the latest CTT which I finally got this week. Seems like a real good issue.
Good Night,

Brent,
Don't let banks jerk you around. Tell them to screw if they keep asking you to jump through hoops. Tell them you want a decision or you're going somewhere else. They will give you one.
And the rest of you mugs - have a good night. I'll see you in the morning.

Well guys, It looks like I will NOT be heading to OHIO next month. The bean counters have taken too long to approve the travel. Right now, my next meeting may be Macon, GA.....a lot easier on the travel, but not exactly the train mecca as many other places. I hope to make the San Diego meeting next year, they have a outstanding layout that is almost as good as the Chief's
Saw the response from Bob Keller regarding the Modern Era train repair manual, Sad to say that they won't be publishing it again. Anyway, hope y'all have a great day.
I've been occasionally using Vista (release candidate 2) at my work. Not too bad. It does have various "classic Windows" settings. My main machine is still WinXP, but I have a feeling we'll have to upgrade company wide very soon. I've got four PCs and a Unix box in my office. :)
late checking in for the day... really busy... bank has requested a DNA sample and first born son... have to contemplate viability of buying house but having to give up a child.....wife is sick of lender #1, so she called her current lender and guess what? they can beat the other guy's best rate! Hmmm... I told her to call them on Sunday... I think I will forego the 'I TOLD YOU SO!' remark... even though I did!
Wife fell asleep last night at 7:30pm... So I ventured to the train room (aka basement) and ran the trains one last time. Got everything boxed up and tucked away... After Christmas gifts and a few pre and post X-mas purchases I am now up to 5 25 gallon totes and 8 35 gallon totes... plus 4 full train sets in boxes and the ZW box... getting quite a collection going... Wife wakes up this morning, goes downstairs to feed cats, comes up and says, 'I thought you bought new bins for the trains?' 'Yes, but I underestimated and needed two of the old bins.' 'What are we going to do for moving storage?' 'Well I was thinking I could go get 4 more of the larger bins, that will free up the smaller ones for moving storage.' No response... :(I did some measuring on the floorplan... looks like the main layout is going to be 12' x 30', with the smaller leg 5' x 19' 8". So I'm going to start planning the layout now!

Hi All, My only hope with TMCC II is that Lionel have done extended testing including 50Hz compatibility.
Congratulations Reggie and Family!

8635 is the cab number.
Good Afternoon all!
Excuse me while I catch up a bit here.
Congratulations to Reggie and Wife on the new arrival!
Colin, Glad to hear your dad is back home and feeling better.
Been noticing that Mike C. is running some of the same Standard Gauge equipment as I have. A #8 and #318 in particular.
Chief, The layout is looking fantastic!
Laz, Looks like I'll be running conventionally for a few more months while Lionel "debugs" TMCCII. Too bad they can't do something about debugging customers who pre-ordered only to see release dates pushed forward. Right about now I'm "BUGGED" beyond belief.
Wifey and I made a trip to the LHS last Sunday. She's genuinely interested in the hobby and does chose some of her own favorite equipment. Well, there in the display case sat a second hand Weaver Milwaukie Road streamlined Hudson. (F6?). She liked it a lot and who am I to argue if she wants to buy herself ( or me ) a brass engine? So in no time it was on the test track. Unfortunately it wouldn't budge....just sat there with lights and sounds but no movement. I guess it's 10 year old QSI system had issues. Consequently that was a no sale but in retrospect maybe my money would be better spent once some TMCCII engines start arriving. Bought a nice K-Line smoking N5C instead, a scale caboose I was sorely lacking to run with my scale freights. Looks nice behind the GG1 even if it's a western division cabin. I might cut down the truck mount areas a bit to get rid of it's "Johnstown Flood" look.
Later all!

JON,
You are probably right about the actors, back then they could act. Also say EMPEROR of the NORTH in drive in with JERIMIAH JOHSON. Great double feature back in '73-74?

Congratulations Reggie and wife!!! A crisp 6 degrees this morning...that's the actual temperature....don't know what the chill factor is!
So many roads, so little time.
John,
That big gray-ish silver thing in the background - is that Gotham Chemical Co? Looks like the boys are heading for a fill up at Goober's gas station! I'll bet the put it on their Bat- charge card!
