Good morning from New England.
Last night I finally finished up a project I started a few months back and never got around to working on. The entire layout's FasTrack roadbed is now all painted. It feels great to get something finished. After that, I repaired a pair of post war crane cars and called it a night.
I received my order of decal film yesterday from Micro-Mark. Will try printing some decals today.
Highpoint, NC...I used to freelance a lot of business with the furniture makers down there.
Off to peruse eBay in search of the next must-have. I love my 2343 so much, I'm thinking about getting a set of 2344s.

Good morning all,
It is hot and humid again in SE Indiana with temps and humidity both in the 90s. Did way too much last night. My wife invited my dad over for supper and so had a big meal. She also wanted to go to a movie and so I went to the YMCA to do weights. Overate, over-exercised and oversat during the movie. Came home and was so miserable I slept in the chair all night. Would have stayed home today, but have too much to do at work and some conference calls to make as well. Also, (and this is the real reason) "my" soccer girls are playing tonight at home, and I will not miss one of their home games. I was still so full this morning that I just had cereal, no toast, so the dining car is kind of heavy heading to "Points East". I hope everyone (especially my soccer teams) have a good day.
PS Brent, I hope you get the results you are looking for.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

Even the cats joined me for the festivities. I had a couple cold Pottsville Lagers, and the kitties had a bowl of water. No derailments, but one car doesn't like to stay on the tracks, so I put her back on, stood up, and WHAM! nailed the tooltable light with the top of my head! *this is now referred to as pulling a Fife* So I went upstairs, got the icebag, and then snuggled with the wife. She asked what I did, when I told her all she did was laugh! That just aint right! I have a fairly nice sized goose egg on my noggin and she thinks it is funny!Off to get a pecan roll...
Glad they look great and your happy with them. Personally never got to run them myself. and now I have a smaller space and my present cars are even longer lol.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a clear, sunny 65 degrees. Going up to 92 today. Hot. More sunshine is in the forecast. I sure hope so.
Today, I will be outside, mowing the grass. That is, as long as the weather holds. I need to get this done before we get any more rain. I don't think I will be running trains today, but I am feeling the need for it. Maybe, later, if it gets too hot. I will be busy in the train room this winter.
Good ballgame last night. Indians finally beat Detroit. 11 to 8.
Dining Car is here and well stocked. Rolled in from " points west ". I think I will order something tasty. Time for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Thursday.
Chuck
Hey, Brent. I know how you feel. My whole life is one big goose egg!!!

I'm glad the post got away from all that disgusting food talk, yuck. I would need a whole heap of ale to eat that stuff. Although we would eat anything if we were hungry enough, sadly.
Nothing new from the train store but I plan to check in with them today.

dwiemer,
Didn't know that you could buy a $500.00 shower curtain, not from WalMart or Target though, probally from price gougers incorporated.
Anyway I am looking to buy an 0-4-0 Lionel switcher 2007 model from a guy at the train show on saturday past, got his address and phone number, now all I have to do is mail the check.

Morning all
John Thanks for the info about the Lancaster Train shop appearance. I'll be in Newark this weekend coming through there Saturday and may check it out depending on time.
RT I hope the best job for you comes through
Start night shift tonight so going to get some things done before it gets too hot. I got 2 coats of polyurethane on the 9 doors at church yesterday. Going down this morning and applying two more coats. Then to my friends house to cut grass, after that nap time so I can stay up and alert all night.
All take care and may God bless
I just ran off a new decal sheet and it came out of the printer beautifully! Couldn't be happier with the results. I'm only sorry that I didn't use this brand when I did up my B&M boxcar.
Hope you guys in Ohio aren't too flooded. I ran a photo yesterday showing flooding in Winona, Minnesota (don't think there's anyone on the forum from that area). The 2nd slide shows a house that floated away and parked itself on some railroad tracks
PhilaKnight wrote:That's just the only problem I like the GG-1 but I would buy the steam cause it's like the original. Only thing is I go to Nicholis Smith but they told me before the were not carrying alot of Williams anymore. Thou I did see they had the new Williams 681. Maybe they might have a girls set in the back. Won't hurt to ask.
PhilaKnight, you may want to check with Ma&Pa junction or Hollash's trains, both have web sites and deal a lot with Williams. I have used Hollash, but not Ma&Pa. Both are reputable. Good Luck and congratulations.
Hey, what is that noise outside and those flashes of light? It does seem cooler, and the ground is all shiney. Chief, I may be mistaken, but a long time ago, we had similar circumstances and they called it RAIN! It has been a great rain, started last night and has steadily rained since. Not the heavy stuff that floods, but the nice soaking rain that really helps. Glad He still answers prayers!
Getting ready to head in. One of the Manufacturing reps is coming by today with some new equipment. I have to hand it to the administration at our hospital, when it comes to the latest, best equipment, we ask....they deliver.
Been checking out the new CTT. I have checked several of the die cast car companies, wow!, what a difference in pricing. While some nice usable cars run in the 3-5 dollar range, some of the special cranes run in the $1000.00 plus category. I think I have enough fire trucks and convertibles, perhaps some construction vehicles and some hard top cars from the 30s and 40s.
Have a blessed day.

Lee, You actually can get a $500.00 shower curtain. One of the nurses on the heart team had one made. Of course that was around the time her husband was caught planting seed in someone else's garden and they are now divorced. Maybe some payback, I don't know. But I do know that a $500 shower curtain can be had, just like the person who buys one.

Brent, what's a no-go?
Good morning everyone,
I slept really late today. Soccer practice starts a 6pm here.
Brent, is it about that?

It's our big Bank Holiday this weekend and the forecast is good, so every UK Lemming will be on the road. Dear Lady and I will chill at home. I think I'll make a curry.

Sorry, Brent.
Be careful with what you wish for, Brent. You two seem to have a mighty nice life as it is....
Although I'm sure you will also enjoy trying, and trying again.
The mechanic called. Your Bimmer tested positive!

Doug,
I make my kids clean up their rooms, and any room they have trashed. They also clean up their toys, sweep the garage floor, put their own folded laundry away, and help take out the trash. They are 7 and 4 years old. Next year they will be able to change the oil in the cars, mow the lawn, trim the hedges, and make dinner a few times a week. I'm tough, but some day they'll thank me.
