That is what a lot of the "Coffee Pot" is about. Having fun with each other and getting to know each other. Glad to have you Bob. You passed the test. Got shot at and bounced back. AS for those Hokie Ohizians, I just ignore them. They will come spend their money anyway.
Got some Soundstop cut so the JD factory corner is in one big section. Got to go to FIL's B'day party. Will use this a pattern for the other two sheets and just add or subtract length to make seams off set.
Man, glad to have Skyray back. Even if he does fly upside down some. Most Nam pilots are a little screwy anyway. Especially those that land on a carrier.

Well it looks like I'm going to work tueday. I signed up with a staffing firm and they have a position for me assemble work assembing sunvisors and seat cushions for cars. As it being a staffing firm I'm sure they get a good chunk of the wadge an I get the rest but possible after 45 - 60 days that they'll take me on and then I'll get benifits and better pay.
Not to much else happening talk to you all later

RT, sometimes, they pay the same or a little better, the company pays higher to the staffing firm. I once worked for a professional staffing firm, made $3.00 per hour higher than the company had advertised for. If you check the classifieds for the position you are filling, you may find it as often they do both, advertise for the position and submit it to a staffing firm. They would rather get you directly for the trial/probationary period as still little to no benefits and they don't pay the firm.
Good luck in your position.
Well, we had a gully washer here for a time. Was getting ready to start a case and looked out the windows, heavy wind and rain going sideways. lasted a short time and now the sun is out. Not sure what the temp is outside, but inside here, it is the usual 52 degrees.
Y'all have a great weekend.

Hey Chief
17 cars derail in Bulls gap Seventeen Norfolk Southern rail cars derailed on Highway 66 near Beech Grove in Bulls Gap this afternoon. The 106-car, two-locomotive train was traveling east from Williamsburg, W.V. to Spencer, N.C. according to Susan Tarpay of Norfolk Southern. Fire and HAZMAT were called to the scene, however no hazardous materials were in the rail cars. The 17 rail cars were directly behind the engines. The first 16 were hauling crushed limestone and the 17th car was carrying coal, as were as the remaining cars. The train was on a siding of the tracks near Beech Grove Road to allow other trains to pass. The derailing of the train will not effect other trains from passing through the area, however Beech Grove Road is temporarily closed. Hawkins County dispatchers said motorists should use caution while traveling on Highway 66. A crew, that will place the rail cars on the tracks is expected to arrive in the area between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., said Tarpay. It is not known how long the process will take. The remaining 89 rail cars will also be pulled from the derailed cars. Authorities said the reason why the train derailed is not yet known. An investigation will be conducted. No one was injured, said Tarpay.

yes I have my A-B-B-A B&O passenger set with all six cars (williams set) . I also have my A-B Santa-Fe 2343 with 8 Passenger cars and I have my twin U36C southern with there 6 passenger cars. I like passenger cars lol. I still have about 6 other engines and about 40 freight cars. Even thou my room now is only about 8'x8' and I have a desk in there (the old metal type . ) so all I'm going to be able to do for a while is put up shelves so I can at least look at them. ( most of them any way. )

Hey Fifey, I'm not some Southern kukabura. I know exactly what your talking about! Dirty boy!
Hey, I just got done decalling my New Haven boxcar. I used my new batch of film from Micro-Mark. All I can say is WOW! These are awesome! Super thin, they are literally invisible once put on the car. I wish I used these for my B&M boxcar. I'm very, very pleased! Time to re-do that B&M.
Have a good evening everyone.

John Bakeer: No offense taken. My wife is getting to be a real choco-snob. Who am I kidding she is. She won't touch Godiva Chocolates. Her latest & greatest is Shokolade Rasberry truffels.
Friends dropped off bittersweet Green & Blacks organic dark chocolate from England, she really likes it. Can you recommend a few dark chocolates from Switzerland? Anniversary is comming soon.
RT: Great news on the new job, positive cash flow is always well...positive.

I sent this to John (CSXT30) earlier today to post, but guess he was too busy getting ready for work to do so. Just thought ya'll would like to see this little tidbit of info on a person that means alot to all of us. On this date in 1880, Joshua Lionel Cowen was born; Happy 127th Anniversary
of his Birthday.
Chief, not sure why you dislike me, I was born and live on the SOUTH SIDE of the Mason-Dixon Line................Oh wait, I know, it's because my daughter is a conductor for the CSX!!
Or is it because I don't like GRITS?!
Thanks for letin' a furinur invad ur space.
Being Crazy, keeps you from going "INSANE" !! "The light at the end of the tunnel, has been turned off due to budget cuts" NOT AFRAID A Vet., and PROUD OF IT!!
Happy Birthday JLC! Wow, we got a ton of rain, then the highway shut down due to a burst water main - I guess the sudden cool down did it! What a mess. It took me 2 hours to get home, which included stopping at White Castle to pick up dinner for the family. Usually takes about 20 to 25 minutes to get home.
Read this at work today, hope TMCC Man and 88 and the rest of you car guys get a kick out of it:
A motorist has pleaded guilty to driving at 172mph on a rural A-road, making him the fastest speeder ever caught in Britain.
Tim Brady, 33, was caught in a random speed check on the A420 near Abingdon, Oxfordshire, driving a ?98,000 3.6-litre Porsche 911 Turbo in January this year.
The current highest speed to result in a conviction is 156mph.
In a short appearance at Oxford Crown Court, Brady pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving.
His plea of not guilty to one count of aggravated vehicle-taking was accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service and he will be sentenced next month.
Brady, of Harrow, north-west London, resigned from his job at car lease firm Helphire at its Abingdon branch days after police stopped him in the car.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
RT - good news, hope they pick you up fulltime and get bene's!

Hopefully all you guys up nawth are high and dry - if not a little drippy
I have been really really busy the last few weeks - ugh!
it is hot here again, but not 100. Only 5 days over 100 here this summer. That's rare!
Jim A - are you working with the "print your own" decal paper from Micromark? Where are you getting the graphics to print the logos like the B&M logo?
Welcome to the Coffee Pot redcaboose and locomutt!
Have a great evening all!

Hi Folks, I haven't read all the post tonite so no replys.
My luck ran out this afternoon. Lightning hit my 30 year old CB antenna after being there all these years.... the TV is fried,it wasn't on but plugged in.The entire house circuit that tv was on is open spent two hours looking for an open plug with no luck.Have to find electrician tomorrow.playstation2,goner, garage door opener wont work,on a good circuit.probably shot.theres more but thats the sugar coated version.this thing works because I unplugged it from the line and ac before the storm hit. right now a broken train seems so simple.
I hope I didn't bore you just needed to talk to someone. Sir james

Glad you're all OK, All the tall buildings here are fitted with lightning conductors some of which incorporate an isotope to attract the naughty flasher!

Jim,
Brady got four months porridge for the speeding, lost his job as salesman at the Porche dealer he took the car from and is awaiting sentence for the offence of agravated vehicle theft.Hey ! after two years I've finally managed to upload a pic. Thanks Jim. This is my local boozer, The Armoury just across the road from my flat. It is next to the local Territorial Army barracks which was originally the home of the Cheshire Regiment, after four hundred years is no more due to mergers and retrenchments. The grassed area is on a bridge over the West coast main line from Manchester to London.
A dull morning in Stockport with sunshine promised later.
Local hooligans (footy team) are at home today, so I am staying in downloading VCRs to DVD, amazing how many you find you don't need when faced with this task.
Have a good weekend all.
Just noticed!

Mornin' boys. Mornin' Lisa. And cheery-oh, English!
sir James- You and I can start our own SIG now. Victims of Naughty Flashers. I'd recommend picking up a new Samsung slim-fit HD tv to ease your pain.
grayson - You were gone...? C'mere and sit next to me. How about a big slice of SNICKERS pie...? Hey,there's something on your shirt/DOH! He fell for it. Sorry about that kid, here, pull my finger...
Morning to All.
Fresh pot is made. We are headed to DC this afternoon to take our son another carload of stuff. We will meet him at BIL and SIL's house. He is taking the metro there to help BIL move some furniture today. As soon as the dew is off of hte grasss I have got to mow. The rain we have had this last week has set the grass to growing like crazy.
Fifey = I see you are up to your usual antics and full of vinegar this AM. You're up mighty early this Saturday AM what's the special occasion?
RT - glad you found work. Hope you like it and can get hired on permanently soon.
Sir James - That lightning is nasty stuff. We lost a TV, DVD player, Computer, Cable Modem, etc. last August. Worse than that was dealing with the insurance company. I swear the claims rep had caller id and would put me in voice mail just so she didn't have to talk to me. I was persistent and they finally paid for a replacement computer. (I have replacement cost rider on my policy, a few $$ extra per year but worth it when you have a problem)
Have a great day.
