Good evening all. We had a full day today. Church, errands, mowed the lawn, sprayed some crab grass, went to the pool for a swim, came home, changed the oil in my car, degreased the engine, put down some insecticide and Grub-ex, had a cookout, threw the kids in bed, the end! There were a lot of milfs to look at at the pool today! Tongue [:P]

Castrol Superclean does a great job degreasing engines. Much better than Gunk. Now I'm going to have to buy more for stripping paint off of models.

Evening all

MILF?  not sure, but I bet I would get in trouble if I had anything to with it when the bride is within reach!Blush [:I]

Rainy today.  Had Grandkids all weekend!  Lots of fun, but I'm beat.  Watched Polar Express, can't wait to get the one I ordered.

Missionary priest from Kenya visiting.  Took him out to dinner.  He was taken by the beauty of Southern Ohio.Big Smile [:D]  So many things we take for granted here in the USA, makes your real thankful.

Had a wierd thing happen to me on ebay.  I used buy it now for a 644 crane, and when I contacted the seller for his mailing address so I could send him his money, he said it would only take paypal.  I said I don't have paypal.  So after a couple of emails we agreed to void the sale.  He relisted and sold the item.  He now said he will be filing, at the proper time, a non paying bidder alert, to do this to recover his fees.  This does not sound right.  I emailed ebay for resolution.  Has anyone had something like this happen before?

Going to Huston next weekend.  Any interesting things (toy train or otherwise) to suggest?

All take care and may God bless your needs

100 plus heat index.  Worked in basement all day.  Got the utility closet wired and done and vent in for furnace per code.  Had a snag with the transformer for the doorbell, which I had to move to the new fixture.  Anyway, all done.  Just leaves the bathroom to wire.  Man, I'm getting fat again.  I can tell because my back hurts.  Need to get back on the diet.

John S., please don't let Chewy eat the spaghetti again - what a mess!  Key Lime pie if you want it - it's in the freezer!

Jim, I think the first part is certainly something his wife would have his hyde if she heard and knew what he was saying.

Second, we too had some missionaries from Pennsylvania (they actually do missions in Asia).  The pastor took them to dinner and they got to have fried pickles and Sweet Tea.

Lastly, regarding the eBay thing.  I hope you saved all the emails as when he agreed to cancel the sale, that should have been that.  Send the email copies to eBay as evidence.  One question:  Did the original sale say "Paypal Only"?  That could be a big difference.

Dr. John, we are getting ready to start the next movie.  Have a meeting next week.  I am on the committee for it and know it will all come together.

God Bless,

Dennis

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 68 degrees. Humid. Going up to 88 today, with possible sunshine. Rained, again, last night.

Today is a busy day. Have things to do around the house and errands to run. Grass is growing and will need to be mowed later in the week. I may spend some time in train room, later. Nothing else new. Just trying to enjoy the summer.  Garden is giving us plenty of tomatoes.

Where is Buckeye ??

Like your pie....John.

Well, time for boarding the Dining Car. Breakfast is served.

Y'all have a great Monday.

That is probably because he has to sleep with one eye open after MILF comments!

To the rest, good morning.  I am off call, no cases and we have a baby sitter at noon!  Taking the bride to see the Bourne movie.  Will be the first "date" we have had in over a year.  Have plenty to do at home afterward as I have not been able to cut lawn in over two weeks.  Will have to hook up the bush hog.

Chief, looks like you have a bit of rain heading your way....lets hope it makes the ground.  Sounds like it is going to be close to triple digits there as well.

Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Good morning all,

It poured buckets on the way into work this morning.  Fortunately I did not have to drive.  It is supposed to be hot and humid today, but I did not know about the rain either so who knows for sure what the weather will be.  This is Indiana after all.  Watched a tape of the F-1 race last night.  Regarding the "MILF" incident, all I can say is, "There was this one time at band camp...."  :-)  American Pie was a funny movie, but definitely for adults only.  There was just the usual fare on the dining car this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

The dust is beginning to settle a little out here, completed the benchwork on the second wall of our room.  2/3 complete.  Received a new cordless drill/screwdriver from MIL and FIL for b-day, boy does it make a difference.  It is 18v, so has plenty of torque.  That made a huge difference, I love it.  Hopefully will get some time and finish the benchwork this week.  Placing switches on order today.  Was able to get a discount and will be able to pick them up saving the shipping costs.

Went to a "Railroadania" show yesterday, found some interesting items.  A plasticville coaling station and a bunch of telephone poles for $15.  It was marked as G Scale. OK, get it hom and there were actually parts for 2 coaling stations and 24 G scale telephone poles.  The coaling stations are actually O scale.  Also picked up a 11x17 print of the 4012 Big Boy, has all the specifications and capacities, nice drawing for a buck.  Then found some LGB figures new in the box, 4 characters, $10, and a set of steam dvd's, (3) for $5.  So was a good venture.

Our trip to the "jewelry mart" turned out to be relatively harmless, wife had some items to be repaired, and got a chain.  Whew!!!

Thanks for the comments on the thread regarding switch control.

Have a great day, talk later.

Another scorcher here in NE Florida, 91 at the beach.....!!

Friday night (9PM local) my son and I decided to get started on the new train tables.  Lowes was open until 10 and I had a 10% off coupon.....$50 lighter got what we needed and by 11:30 had 1 table done, and one of the Home Owners Association Directors (neighborhood ***) live next door!! Guess my new B&D electric 7.25 circular saw didn't wake him!!

Worked at the LHS Sat., repaired & test run some engines.  My first impression of acutally running  MTH stuff.....detail is great, when they work they are nice, but waiting 15-20 minutes for that stupid battery to power up s**ks!! I must od spent 3 hours trying to get 3 different PS1 & 2 engines to work.  The Lionels were just plug & play....TMCC just rocks!!  That was so easy to work with.  Geez, more money on trains.  Got the new catalogs, lots of good stuff, I'll get some more quaility time with them later in the week.

Something for you OHIO guys, had breakfast at Bob Evans restaurant here.  NO GRITS!! Omlets, bacon, sausages pancakes, good stuff - - Restaurant of the year it said.

Sorry for the ramble, been a while since I went off....

Have a good one!

Mornin' Boys!

Long, fun filled weekend for the roar!

Spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday working on my 'secret' project... Whistling [:-^]

Shed is coming along nicely... Friday I got the front wall assembled and up, Saturday I got the rear wall cut (wife and I did a bit of running around Saturday morning which ate up a lot of the day), then had to go to Aunt and Uncle in Laws for Cousin-In-Law's birthday.  Was a good time.  Sunday I got the rear wall up, both side walls, got the ridge boards up and have 4 rafters installed - then it started to rain...

Rotisseried a turkey *** last night for dinner.  Susan had a craving for green beans, saurkraut, and pickles so I make the green beans and saurkraut for dinner along with sauted redskin potatoes.

Started to inventory the trains over the weekend as well... that is going to take some time...

Tonight will be a light night for me... have to finish installing rafters... the setup track for running trains.  Tomorrow will be laying roofing underlayment and felt paper, and hopefully getting the windows installed and the siding up.  Wednesday is shingles.  Thursday is the door.  that will leave painting for after returning from Minnesota... shed should be painted next week.  Will be nice to finally get it done so I can start storing stuff in it!  Pics coming tomorrow...

Morning all.  On the run.  Lunch with newspaper reporter, County Commissioner meeting, and then Town Board tonight.  HOT Tripple digits yesterday on my themrometer and FIL's.  More of the same all week.  Still NO rain.  Key Lime pie.  Anyone who has not had Key Lime pie is missing a real thing.  Love it.  Have a good day.  God bless all.

Jim,
Spicoli was Sean Penn's character in Fasttimes at Ridgemont High.  The character in American Pie was Stiffler.

'Call me Stiffler's Mom!'

Morning all

Wet and warm in Southern Ohio; border secure

Dennis - As far as the ebay thing, I kept all the correspondence and in his listing regarding payment the listing said "immediate payment required".

Our county fair is this week and it traditionally rains a good bit of the week.  When our girls were younger they were in 4-H.  They did well in several events, mostly non-livestock, but we did show goats and rabbits.  They learned skills that still serve them well.

Start nights tonight, so going to do some cleaning up and if it drys cut grass at my friends house.  Going to have company for supper Tuesday and they will want to see the trains, so going to clean up the table and track some.  Need to be quiet because bride worked nights last night and she is sleeping the the room next to the train room.  Makes me wish I would of used more sound deading techniques when building the table!

All take care and may God bless

Good morning from a hot and very humid Chicago where I hope to meet my uncle and aunt later this morning and squire them through the Art Institute of Chicago with my newly minted membership. I guess I'm not too motivated to work today.

Had a good weekend - went out to a fondue place on Fri. night - my middle boy left for camp on Saturday and I immediately cleaned up his room with the help of the five year old (who was in heaven exploring his brother's toys).  Mostly, I wanted to rescue a train layout that has been under his bed for a long time. So everything's nicely cleaned and stored for him Wink [;)]

I enjoyed returning to as video director at church for the first time since my eye stuff on Sun. Especially as the bride had a long intense drama sketch in the services. Then we took the youngest all the way into the city to the Lincoln Park Zoo. It was incredibly humid but we were fortunate to see all sorts of his favorite animals up and around.

Gas is around $2.99: Don, the difference here IS taxes.

Dennis, my prayers go out to that young man with cancer. How was your date?  The bride and I try to have a standing date every Fri night. The boys watch wrestling on TV and we just go out somewhere even if it's just for ice cream or a beer (I prefer the latter). It's sure wonderful to connect after the week.

Chief, can I join the TTBA?

Jim A, those B&A and soon-to-be NH boxcars look wonderful. You're a great modeller.

HI GIZ,

68 and humid here to get to 82 then the big blast from the SOUTH, not the CHIEF either.  To get to 99 by Wed.  NO laz CAMP last two days, I strained my right oblique muscle.  It is the muscle right above the hip, very painful, when you breath.  Worst pain I felt since tearing my bicept a few years ago.  Happened on Saturday lifting a pot belly stove, took two Aleve and that had my head spinning.  Still hurting today but went for a short walk.  I'll just walk it off.

RICH sorry to here bout the POLAR EXPESS being cancelled.

  All have a good one.

Afternoon all!

6-hours at the ER yesterday, ultra-sound didn't show stones outside of G'baldder, bloodwork came back relatively normal.  Betrothed said she still had pain, and didn't feel right.

Sent us home, said to take vicadin for the pain...Might be back again today.

Chief:  I may need to take you GIZ up on the TTBA.  Just missed on a Christmas Dump car last night $48 delivered...I had $47.  I would have gone higher, but was busy...Whew... that was close.Whistling [:-^]  That would have been difficult to explain.  Yes dear, I did buy one of those last year...Can I get a cool certificate like the Summit gang?

Doug:  Sounds like you attend a pretty big church; glad you're back in action.  Maybe too much action if you need Toy Train Intervention.

Brent:  Mmmmm saurkraut!  Dad and I used to eat the Silver Floss stuff right out of the can!

Rich:  Sorry about the train...Log on to Slickdeals.net; search forums for Lionel; and let them know.  That's where this started.

It's cold and humid here.  Fan's running, air's on, but we can't get rid of the humidity.

John:  Thanks for the photo of the velocipede!  I think I'm going to buy one.....Oops...Did I say that out loud????
