Chief, I forgot to mention that your package has been detained by the Mason Dixon Line Customs Agents.  All packages being sent from those South of the Border have to be X-Rayed and inspected before being forwarded to points North.  Something about the North being a 'Grits Free Zone'...

I use a computer hooked up to the internet for free here at work. Why would I want to spend money on one for home? Wink [;)]

Only yellow bellied sap suckers eat grits! We feed that crap to livestock up here. Pigs mostly. Not fit for human consumption!

88, I sent a package to NJ by UPS early in the month.  It never arrived.  Tracking said it was damaged and stollen in Seacaucus, NJ.  It didn't even have grits in it this time.

Dennis, package from me to MA was suppose to be in Raleigh this AM but now jumped to NJ.  I would have thought that it would have gone straight to Boston and then that little hole-in-the-wall town just North of Boston. Wink [;)] I guess they really loaded it with invisable [hope I spelled that right] GRITS before shipping NAWTH.

Do not post much here as the software is too screwy.  Just like this quote, it said I had the quote reply ready but not there.  Had to click on it again and it came up.  Also changes font size right in the middle of typing.  Been busy too.  Wildlife Fish Biologist said I am OK with pond so relief there.  Jsut got to watch for several cloudy days and make sure O2 does not drop in the water.  Had to put a mass air flow sensor on that Nissan [even though code was not saying that].  Got this from a guy that runs private Nissan repair place.  Think this might have fixed it.  Runs better cold anyway.  Would stumble and cut off cold.  Fuel injected vehicle are not suppose to do that.  Wife will drive it tomorrow and hope the Check Engine light does NOT come on.

Had some screwy things going on.  Thought [see it did it again Grumpy [|(]] Thought chargers were going bad.  After testing and installing new one, found temp sensor was bad.  Our expert did not think of that.  I think this was a new one for them.  Also having some screwy things happening with a couple of Atlas engines on layout but not Lionel.

Well, got to go.  Have a good night all.

Hi Brent,

Peterborough is about a 1 1/2 hr South down the A1.

Current Hornby is OO scale 4mm to the foot (unlike HO which is 3.5mm to the foot) http://www.hornby.com/

We have the Nene Valley railway nearby (several Bond movies have used the line as did Rock Group QUEEN in one of their videos) They often run Thomas specials http://www.nvr.org.uk/

I might have a layout built  by the time you come over. Your welcome to pop in if your in the area. The tea pot is always onSmile [:)].

Hello from a humid but cool Arnold, where my hand is getting better, but I'm affraid I might have lost a little mobility for a while with my opinion finger.  My kids had their first day with the sitter today and said they had a lot of fun, which is good news.  My daughter misses school, but my son is totally into Summer and Freedom -- I think this is pretty normal.  Need to give my youngest a bath.  Here's a pic from the last one, you can see it brings out the dark side in Chewy:

Finished reading the Pettit book and it was pretty good, although I'll bet there are different sides to everything.  Interesting to see all the sketches of the toys, knowing how they turned out at least in general terms.  Lost out on stuff on ebay as usual.  Low bid on one of those snap-together barrel loaders, thinking I might put a solenoid in it (stealing another idea!), but it went for $26, which seemed a little high to me.  I would have guessed $10 max?  I don't really know what these go for though.  Need to figure out how to drill out a 2 inch wooden ball for a diving bell.  I have a drill press and some different clamps, but want to figure out a way to put a light in it, then convert a flatcar with a roller so it will light up as it goes round my layout.

Anyway, TTFN!

PS. Don - great locomotive!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Yes, you are right.  You need to ease up on those of us that can not type perfect.  You seem to have a propensity for pointing out innocent typos.  You did it last week to the Chief for some trivial reason.  Anybody else on your list for this week?

We are talking about, a typo??????    I guess fifedog doesn't have much to do except to make light of typos.   There are so many typos on this and every forum and basically, who cares about them.Zzz [zzz]  Yes, I changed it because my spell checker did not pick it up.  My 2 cents [2c] As far as I know CTT has let me edit my posts ever since I joined over three years ago and they have never ever said one word about it being a problem.

Buckeye - The J is from MTH, from the '97 catalog I believe.  It was originally PS, but really in mint condition or close anyway.  You might know I would find a drawback on it after I get it.  As it turns out that years model was a 53" minimum.  Subsequently went down to 42", urgh!! Going to have to do some more re-configuring I think.  I was setting the layout up for two main lines at 72, and all the switching and internal at 42, now will have to think on it a little.

Our club DOES allow visitors, we have at least 1 open house every quarter.  If your ever in LA I will make sure you can get in.

We are getting a new website put together, it is in development but its at www.aghrclub.org

Good afternoon from beautiful Ohio, where it is currently 78 degrees with a clear sky.

Doug, I'm sorry that it is so much work taking care of that rock lawn.  Don't you use rock salt to take care of the rock weeds? Do you water the rock lawn with hard water imported from Ohio? I assume that on a weekly basis you must paint each rock individually.  That really eats into your train time. Smile [:)]

Don, I really like the J.  Who is the manufacturer?  I agree with Mitch, you need a big exhaust fan.  Since Doug's club in San Diego has visitors, is it possible to visit your club's layout?  How can anyone in California have a cold?

Zeke, give them my name the next time they need a hostage.  Big Smile [:D]

It is cool under the bridge.

Cheif, Sorry about your fonts, they always look OK on my screen. Wonder if you've got a Gremlin in your ERNI?Glad to hear your pond is getting better.

Just ordered MS Office from Amazon 91 quid/$180.00, fed up with having to swop e-mail programmes as messenger had no spell checker to stop me dropping clangers. Did any of you see that series of knitted dolls speaking penny whistle language on the kids channel? Fair made me feel child like and want to chase girls, God knows what I would have done, if I had caught one?

Just taken a 30 car manifest to London Ont. 78 miles in 84 minutes. Only broke the 60mph limit for 9 secs. once when the postman came. I know using the sim. is cheating really but I can be an engineer in a flash without having to fill my living space

Good morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 65 degrees. Going up to 85 today, with sun all day.

Today is a relaxing day. Got the front and side hill mowed, yesterday. I have been watering the flowers and garden, every night. Not much rain lately. They keep calling for thundershowers, and none, so far.

I will be taking out the steel bridge, from the layout, next week. Get it ready for painting. I will take pictures.

Well, Dining Car is here from " points west ". Breakfast.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Good morning all,

It is going to be sunny and hot in SE Indiana with temps in the high 80s today.  We watched the Victory Dinner last night for the 500.  It is one of the few sporting events where they have an official celebration the day after the event.  Occasionally there are some bright moments, but usually there are just the usual thank yous.  I hurt my right arm some how yesterday and did not sleep well, but it is feeling better now.  Bran muffins were on the dining car for "Points East" this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana
