Chief- 115? Jeez that's not hot What was the humidity?
Just got back from getting a haircut. The guy was happy to see me wearing my Ferrari shirt. He's a full blooded Italian, so I can see why. He only wishes he can get me to like Italy's soccer team, but I'm going to stay German on that subject.
We had a little bit of rain here........but it still hasn't lowered the humidity.
Well, I'm off to play XBOX Live. Have a good evening everyone.
ChiefEagles wrote:Morning. Hot as usual. Dry too. Watering day. Off to two meeting for the Town. Then finish one side of soundboard [third layer and repaint]. Brent, it will be a dog house for you when wife turns you out. Have a good one.
I say, I say, I say someone posts like foghorn leghorn(rooster from loony tunes) software must be goofing up again
Its a 103 F in the shade, in the backyard this afternoon. Glad I finished my running around before noon today.
The internet around here was slow as mollasses on a winter morning today. I guess another 50,000+ users in town doesn't help. UGA students moved back into Athens this week.
See the software psoted me three times. Could not get it to open at first. Then reply screen came up so sloooooow.
Well, Town meeting all day unitl 3 PM. Not going to work on soundboard. Watering. Inside/outside thermometer indicates 104 outside in the shade under the overhang on North side. Greenhouse is 115 with all doors and windows open and fan going with shadecloth on. All you do is walk out and you turn wet. No need to get soaked and dusting cutting soundboard and then bring it in and let heat in house. Start early tomorrow or maybe later tonight [got lights out there] as wife will be at Youngest [leaving after 8 PM tonight with her sisters]. Went to visit the new police station that is being leased until we can build new Town Hall. Police Chief's office is going to be larger than mine!!!! In fact, think everyone's will be larger than mine!!! [really doesn't bother me] OH NO, may have to go to NH in a couple of weeks. Later. Got stuck on 4 bars and would not move. Closed it down and re-edited it.
Figured out the stout site
Jim
Afternoon all
Southern border safe and HOT
Doug, I went to the Stout site for the first time and did not navigate very well. how can I view the AF items?
Jim-to the "am I fat" question, I answer, "In my eyes you are as beautiful on the outside as the day I maried you, and more beautiful in the inside as I grow to love you more" . No lies and lets you duck a bomb shell.
Works for me

Hi Jim,
Don't know how to make a link active but here's the full skinny:

Hey speaking of marriage, yesterday I got home early (I dodged out of a training class) and was talking to my wife as she was showering. She stepped out of the shower, looked herself over in the mirror, and asked me if I thought she was fat. I paused a little too long and then replied, "well, you aren't Twiggy". She's latched onto that like a pitbull on a mailman ever since. Why do they ask if they don't want to hear the truth?!
Chief, looooooooooooooooooooooved that email!

David - That is fantastic! Where is it at?
Don
Good morning everyone,
It's a hot day here. I hope that it changes sometime this week.
Nothing much to report today,
Have a good day everyone!
Mornin' All.
I never realized that Chief stuttered.
Any of you been by the Stout auction site lately ? They are unloading a bunch of pre & post war stuff, box lots it appears. But check out that AF salesmans set on the home page, it is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS and I'm not a big AF fan. I am going to follw that one to see what it will sell for.

Just wanted to clarify that we were both in the 9th grade, didn't want to sound like a worse "Dirty Old Man" than I already am.

Good Morning, Chief
Thanks, John
On the subject of how we met our wives... I had bad experiences going both the old-fashioned way and the newfangled way. Two very intense relationships, both of which looked very promising, both blew up spectacularly (but before marriage, fortunately). Probably the biggest flaw in both was maturity. When we had problems, we'd never seen those problems before and didn't know how to correct them. Everything that loomed overhead looked like the Enola Gay, even if it was nothing.
I met my wife the newfangled way, online. That worked really well, and a big part of it was because we knew a lot about each other even before we met in person. The other thing that helped was that we both tend to be very shy in person, so if we'd met in person we probably never would have had that first conversation. Meeting online helped because it pretty much eliminated the question in our minds about whether the other person was interested.

Stop what ever it is you are doing and post those 2343 photos! I'm dying to see them. Much better than you were expecting? Give us the low down. And step on it.
Well my story is.... I was walking down the street, and this car pulled up and there were 4 girls in it. They asked for some directions, then one of them grabbed me and pulled me inside. Off they drove out into the country, where I was abused, amused, and used. OH that was a dream!
We met at Jr College, it was my 3rd semester in dumb bell English, saw her sitting there and that was that. Found out where she had lunch, and asked to join her. Then 6 years later we got married and that will be 28 years ago in October. I did well!!!
Picked up some Ross switches Tuesday, boy is this hobby ever expensive!! Have another 12 still on order. Received the Atlas Spike golden spike car, I am very pleased it is really sharp and full of detail.
Think will get the day off today, for work here in the train room. Need to tget the benchwork done, just a little over half done.
Try to stay cool, good luck with the heat!
Good morning from a muggy and overcast Crystal Lake where I have been concentrating on listening (and not fixing) as my bride works through some stuff during the past 24 hrs. I came home early yesterday after a long phone call at work. We got a chance to talk whilst waiting to pick up our middle boy from camp - Mike C, it is now called Spring Hill Camps. After 17 years, I am still not great at this.Nice topic, David. I met my bride at a retreat our church put on for singles - curiously enough at a retreat center only a few miles away from where we now live. I was seeing someone else at the time and while we were walking the grounds during some free time, Kelly saw us and prayed 'Lord, I want that' when we walked by. When we had a 'reunion' a few months later, at a local watering hole, I was dateless by then and we spent much of the evening together. The rest is history. God sure has a sense of humor.Jim F., I must confess my lust for that St G trolley and trailer. It looks great!
