RT, That is interesting, never heard of it and it's just down the road.  What is the lettering on the engines?  PRL?  Exactly where near Denver?

Dr. John,

I take it from your question that you are not a TCA member currently.  If that is the case, I would be happy to sign your application form for you.  Once you are a member of TCA, the Eastern Division will send you an invitation each six months to sign up to attend the semi-annual meet in York, PA.  That is not the only reason to become a TCA member but it is a very good one.  The membership application is available online at

http://www.tcamembers.org/membership/application.pdf

If joining the TCA is not for you, you can still attend the York meet one time as a guest of a member.

Greg, thank you for the kind offer and the link. I've downloaded the form and am considering joining. If I do, I'll take up your offer of your signature on the application.

Good morning from Gettysburg.  Not much to report from here.  Beautiful weather the last few days. Supposed to get some rain here over the next few days.

Been crazy busy at work.  Last night I did not get home until after 8:00, late nights tonight and Thursday with rescheduled make-up activities that were snowed out in February and March.

Take care,

Mitch

Brent,

You are finally off the hook! I got your tender to work last night. It screams like a banshee now. Sometimes it won't stop unless power is cut off. I'll figure it all out. Only 2 tenders left in the infirmary!

Lisa,

If you're going to lob them in underhand, I'm going to swing for the fences. All in good fun. Wink [;)]

Morning all,

Had a tough night, one of our dogs is having lots of problems.  I have to take her back to the vet...afraid she might have to be put downSad [:(]  Hopefully it is something that can be treated.  She may have been bit by a black widow or snake.

I was had on that hudson deal.  I was suspicious of the whole deal, but for the money, I figured I would see where it went.  I do have enough information on the guy that I hope Law enforcement will follow up on.  If not, I have some contact information that perhaps I can witness to him...plant a seed and let God convict him.  I will post a thread on this so others won't be taken.

Busy day, got a case this morning and then to the vet and finally, take the kids to get pictures taken.  I really hope things go well with the vet. anyway, not much in the train front.  Take care,

Dennis

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 53 degrees. Going up to 63 today, with rain in the forecast. Looks like a couple of days of it. Yuk.

Dennis...Good luck with your dog. We are still feeling the loss of ours. Will be, for a long time to come.

Today, I am driving up to Cambridge for the unpopular grocery shopping. Gas prices are still very high. Latest at $ 2.78 a gallon.  Somebody is getting rich over this.

Later today, I think I will spend some time running trains. Have not spent too much time there lately. I need to get back into the fun.

Well, off to the Dining Car. Time for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Good morning all,

It is mild and rainy in SE Indiana with temps in the 60s.  The person working on the garage finally finished it yesterday, and it looks nice.  This has to be short today.  Maybe I can post tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' all...

The movers aren't a question, they are a given.  We have far too much furniture and heavy furniture at that.  It's the whole 2 18 wheelers I don't believe.  When I moved down from Pittsburgh I rented a 36 foot Pensky truck and I didn't even fill it to the brim, probably about 2/3 full.  My wife and I are going to move the clothes, trains, porc. dolls, computers, and other fine collectibles that we do not want damaged.  We aren't closing on the old house till 6 days after we start moving, so we have plenty of time to get the rest of the house emptied.

My biggest concern with an 18 wheeler is them getting it in our new driveway.

Won't be on much today, have to get some school work done and then I have to leave an hour early to get to an interview in Bethesda, same company just a different contract, hope to get a little raise and an extra week vacation! Smile [:)]

Jim, thanks for the thought.  Actually, this guy is in Milano, Italy.  I have an address and multiple contacts.  First I am going through law enforcement, then, I have some other methods.  (did you know we have military very close to where this guy lives?)  Western Union has a photo of this guy picking up the money.  With apologies to our Italian friends here, have you ever heard of a ginny neck tie?

Welcome sir james, here's your cup... and a good morning to you all from a wet and cool Chicago where I clumped to work in big 'ol boots, khahi rain coat, and ragged Sox cap -- looking for all the world like a hobo.  The transfer table and Korber trolley barn (and extenders) won't fit on the layout - especially if it had to house six trolleys. Next I will see if I can cobble something together myself...  Dennis, sorry to hear your e-Bay story...

Played trains last nite for a while then taped the shield, and deadliest catch.

Got to plant lettuce, peas and khorobis tonite.

Welcome Sir James Sign - Welcome [#welcome]  Visit with us here on the "Pot".  Can jabber all you want as long as you don't cuss or get too evil.  OH NO, another Yankee.  Wink [;)]

Morning from warm and pretty NC with A/C on [ran some last night to cool this house down].  Grass to mow and garden to plant.  Pack for Charlotte [short dive].  Tempted to drive farther west and find Lisa and then go down 77.

Watching NS video of SC and western NC to Chatlotte.  OH NO, a local with two highnosed SD's pulling only two tank cars [bet I get some flack from the CSX crowd].  This was shot mostly last fall.  Lots of UP engines [especially pulling intermodle from Atlanta north to PA] and some all UP.  I have even seen a BN still in green. Quite a few BNSF and even one SF [what I call the Chief paint].  One outstanding thing is NO CSX engines.

Got to get moving.

Early afternoon all,

Wet here in Southern Ohio.  Grass is getting out of hand.  I'm on dayshift and don't get home till 8 p.m. and too late to cut.  Hopefully get to it when I'm off friday.

Dennis, hope your dog pulls through.  They are pretty tough when it comes to poison bites.  The vet should guide you through it.  Keep us posted.  I pray for dogs too Angel [angel]

Can't imagine what it would be like topack up everything and move.  Fill an 18 wheeler no problem, and a dump truck with junk to throw away.

The loader (770) and car (734) came yesterday.  I've not tested they but they looks nice.  Pics up coming

God bless

Jim

Hello and welcome to you Sir James.  The Coffee Pot is where we come to catch up with each other and just check in.  We do have a bit of jabbing, but it is all in good fun.  We try to keep anything not directly train related here and then post train items as seperate threads.  At the top of the list, is a thread for some "how To" threads that have been discussed to exhaustion.  I mention this as should you have any questions about trains, check there first and then do a search before posting a question.  Chances are, it has been answered and you would not have to wait for a reply.  Otherwise, most here are laid back and no back biting as on some other sites.

Welcome again and please tell us a bit about yourself.  Also, be sure to check out "Sunday Photo Fun" thread that is posted every sunday for the latest in pictures.  Please, by all means, post some yourself.  They have instructions on the list to post photos.

Dennis

Abit about myself: Retired,First train,Marx about 1946, first Lionel 1949 a2025 w/maplewood cars. current layout, basement w/GG track & TMCC Lionel prefered I have MTH but the battery issue drives me crazy. I am using the newer type batt. & BCR's but stopped buying their engines because of the batt. thing.Latest news from york is Battery will be a thing of the past and that is good news.Worked part time in a LHS so I can be helpful problem wise till we reach the electronic age and I'll leave that for the younger train nuts.I see I have talked too much so thanks for the welcome and I fixed the time problem(was on London time...Sir James
