Thanks, Brutus......That's exactly what I tried. There is no obstruction. Clear ducts. I will call in a repairman tomorrow.

Looks like what little rain we got is all gone. Sad [:(] Our neighbors to the north stole it all. Tongue [:P]

Should be a good day to run the "G", need to give the new smoke unit a good test.

Got most of the halloween cars ready to roll, just need to add a few finishing touches for the halloween run at the museum.

Prayers for Joe, Dr. John's mom and dad, Kurt's wife and child, and all others in need.

All is well in Brutaland.  Got the last 2 frames painted early today.  Finally caught up on some sleep too.  Gonna play Medal of Honor with my boy while the paint dries for a while.  Also, trimmed a plastic piece on my old Delta Unisaw for a lady at work.  It is some kind of sorting tray for a drawer and she got it made/cut to width, but forgot about depth!  Took about 1 minute.  Working on plans for new bigger layout.  Still need to finish the last little bit of wiring in the basement and ditto plumbing - kinda stalled for lack of inspiration.

Really like the new issue of CTT and hope they keep the color ads - I might have to buy a few things, I've been on a drought for a while due to that BFOC impulse buy!

Marty: Stopped by to see Joe at the Whistle Stop Hobbies in Palm Harbor.  His neighbor told me that he was undergoing medical procedures and would not be in his "Lionel" world for awhile.  If you get a chance, wish him well.  Thanks.

Good morning from Buckeyeland, where the citizens have been celebrating the big win over arch rival NU.  It was a classic struggle of two titan college football programs.  BTW, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you.

Tom, congratulations on a great OTTS outing. Yeah!! [yeah] Isn't that steamer from the Ohio Central great?  If I remember correctly, it is an ex-Canadian National loco.  They have a bone yard near Coshocton, (That's Indian for where the big trains die.)  where old tenders and cars can be found.  Do you need any membership certificates?

The Chief is in Louisiana.  Has anybody called the State Police, yet?  Chief is lucky he works at Bass Pro.  I bet he can get all the mosquito repellent in gallon jugs at a discount to keep him safe in the bayou.

Started Phase III of my layout yesterday.  I'm adding about 45 feet more of track.  I think I will now have about a 160 foot mainline for my locos to stretch their legs.

Make sure you check out photo fun.  There are some real good ones posted today!

See ya down the tracks,

Mornin' boys.  Sunny & 70's here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Get-caught-up-on-laundry-in-between-turnovers-day here at the fifedog residence.

DOVER was interesting.  Got there in time to catch the end of NBS qualifying, then the sky turned dark, and then the deluge from the sky.  Mrs. fifedog and I snuggled and huddled under the turn 1 bleacher steps...along with 100 of our closest friends, for about 25 minutes.  She was wearing a white shirt, so I had to keep her dryWhistling [:-^], but my backside got damp.  Got myself a new Havoline t-shirt to be semi-dry.  Anywho, rain stopped, track dried in an hour, CUP cars had happy hour, and the NBS race started on time.  13 wreck cautions---WOW!  Denny Hamlin in the #20 was dominant all afternoon.  Look for a JGR team to win today.

Good morning,

I need to call on your collective memory to find an article in CTT.  I've been trying to locate that two-parter about restoring (repainting etc.) and old classic Lionel Berkshire. Anybody recall what issue that was in?

Also, I had a nice meeting with my fellow committee members from the Northern Flyer Alliance yesterday.  We skecthed out the next 6-8 months of public meetings, legislative contacts,  coordination with Amtrak and research to move the Heratland Flyer expansion agenda forward on 2 year timetable. I got a report on the Okalhoma City legistative, and also the Ponca City meeting held last week. The next meetings will be in Arkansas City and Topeka, Kansas on October 17th and 20th, respectively.

Today is yard work and chores and maybe a few moments set aside for doing grade reduction on an elevated section of the Kansas City Southwest Railroad.

Good morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a sunny 62 degrees. Going up to 82 with sunshine all day.

Today is an easy day. I have a few things to do around the house and then relax. I might run trains later this afternoon.

Nascar race today from Dover. Not many races left.

Indians lost last night. Need to get better to get to playoffs.

Dining Car is here and it's time for breakfast. Later.

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 80s.  I reffed two soccer games and I was tired after that.  Rested af home and then my wife and I went to Frisch's for supper.  After that we went driving around the Honda plant where they finally opened a county road that had been closed for a while.  We stopped in at some friend's house and had a nice visit.  The soccer news was mixed as the US Women defeated England 3-0 (sorry John Bakeer and Nick!) and the high school boys tied 1-1, but "my" soccer girls got pounded 6-0.  Friday night I did housework and went to the YMCA.  Breakfast was the usual fare this morning.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Thanks, Brutus.......I pulled the filter out and got the ice inside melted. It did it again. Warmer air flowing and ice build up on the inside coils. This happened about 5 years ago, and I had to replace the condenser in the heat pump. Looks like I will have to call in a repairman Monday.

Man I am tired out.  Just couldn't sleep last night.  Then had to get up and be in St. Louis by 7 for OT.  Then met friends for lunch and then ran kids to the Galleria (about 40 min from our house) for a girlscout thing.  Finally home and just barely functioning.  Watching Volume 3 of the Addams family dvds (old tv show).  3rd episode and no exploding trains yet, but there was a kid playing with Wednesday and when his parents came to get him he had a long O gauge straight track wrapped around his neck!

Evening all,

Last night at work was real busy.  Did leave early to go to Columbus for class today, had class all day then working again tonight.  Can't wait till 7 a.m. then I can Zzz [zzz]  Lots of coffee between now and then.  Looks like an active night so that will help time pass.  Got lots of homework to get done in the nex 13 days till next class, so unless things fall in place quickly ( I read and understand) not much training the next week or two.

Glad to hear all who are on the mend.  Continued prayers for healing.

I remember back to the homecoming, and prom days.  It is crazy.  It seems each year tries to one up the previous year.  Such a waste.  Money time and energy could better be spent on trains.SoapBox [soapbox]

All take care, I'll check in later and amybe post a couple pics from vacation.

May God bless

Afternoon all.  Busy day.  Got to Miss Edna's and then back to fix roller bag [should have done earlier].  Seems US Airways breaks off the "bottom stop" that makes the bag sit up right.  Well, I made one out of treated wood [hard] painted black, 4 hardened bolts through the wood into the bottom of the bag with aluminum plate inside behind the liner.  Then put flat washers and lock washers with locking nuts.  They break this one off, they will be buying me a bag [they've done before] as it will take the bottom out.  Got another smaller one to do later.  They sent me an email and said take it to the airport and they would replace.  Well, they keep doing that and I didn't want to drive to the airport and back for that.   Ran trains some.  Got out the Post War Berk and the F3's [MTH PS2].  Pulled a set of MTH Santa Fe passenger cars I have had for over a year now [been stored].  Did good.  Actually Post Wars run better now I have the Soundstop down [does cut down on noise] as all of the track is level.  You can crawl them around the track with no slowing down in spots due to unlevel track.  Runs great with TPC and Cab1.  Got to pack.  Also book a flight for middle of Oct to Baton Rogue.   Later

rtraincollector,

Nice photo of the Cat with the scope on a weapon.

Jaabat, noticed that you changed you name on here!  Don't worry the Chief can still find you!

On to some of my news, had to get exterminator today for a wasp colony near my second floor roof, there was close to 160 of them wasps flying around.

Finally got a piece of K-Line's Super Streets in at my local hobby shop, still waiting on three more pieces to complete my upper level layout.  Bought some wood ties for my Gargraves track where I cut some of the ties out but need to replace the ties now to make it look good. Also have a new Williams S-2 Tender for my 224 post war steam loco, I know they don't come with that big a tender but it was a great bargain for only $50.00.
